“I have every confidence in the Vigil's loyalty in matter of arms. But gold corrupts even the most resolute soul.”

Mistress Woolsey is sent by the First Warden of Weisshaupt to help the Warden-Commander administrate the Arling of Amaranthine. She is in charge of the treasury of the arling.

Background[]

She points out that the First Warden isn't interested in the arling per se, but that having a Warden ruling over a domain creates an interesting precedent for the order, which can now be regarded as important even when a Blight is not afoot.

Mistress Woolsey insists that the Warden-Commander secure the Pilgrim's Path, the road situated between Amaranthine and Denerim, as a large portion of the defeated darkspawn horde have traveled north from Denerim. Her hopes in doing so will enable trade to flow once again as the Arling is in a severe humanitarian and economic crisis. After this conversation the quest Trade Must Flow is activated. In addition, she asks the Warden-Commander to convince itinerant merchants to sell their goods at Vigil's Keep.
