Witherfang is the head of a pack of werewolves that have been fighting Zathrian's clan of Dalish elves.
Background
When the Warden and party arrive in the Dalish elf camp it appears that there has been a battle. Once the Warden speaks to the Keeper, he reveals that the culprit is indirectly Witherfang, a wolf in the woods. The elves need help to find Witherfang and end their fear and suffering.
