Changes: What Lies Dormant

What Lies Dormant is a companion quest for Solas in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Solas has located a powerful rift in the Hinterlands that has not yet opened. He believes it to be unique and well worth investigating.

Acquisition

What Lies Dormant is a sub-quest of Measuring the Veil. A new war table operation appears, called Measure Veil Strength. It takes the Inquisitor behind Redcliffe Farms in Hinterlands to an unopened Fade rift.

Walkthrough

Go to the cave in the northwest part of the Hinterlands (just northwest of the Astrarium). Light the veilfire and take the torch into the cave with you; the cave is very dark and there is a frost rune in the last chamber with the rift.

Possible spawns are as follows:

Level 16-18
- Wave 1: Pride Demon (1), Rage Demon (1)
- Wave 2: Pride Demon (1), Rage Demon (1), Wraith (4)
- OR
- Wave 1: Greater Shade (6)
- Wave 2: Greater Terror (2), Greater Shade (4)

Note: enemies that spawn vary for individual player and may or may not be the same.

Kill the demons and seal the rift to complete the quest.
