Wade is a blacksmith who owns Wade's Emporium in Denerim, just south of the central marketplace.
Background
Wade is the owner of Wade's Emporium in Denerim, and he is a skilled smith. Unfortunately, his perfectionism left him with very few customers, and to avoid having to eat gruel he has hired Herren to take care of business in his shop.
Involvement
Wade can make Drake and Dragon scale armors.
In the game you can find a total of 6 Drake Scales and 1 Dragon Scale. You can find the drake scales at Mountainside Caverns and the Dragon Scale at Mountain Top.
When you visit Herren and Wade with Drake scales in your inventory, you will get the option to talk to Herren and get Wade to craft Drake Scale armor for you.
If you paid the addition sovereigns for the last commissioned piece, then Wade will be sufficiently skilled to craft Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor. Otherwise, Wade will lack the skills to craft the superior version and will result in Wade's Dragonbone Plate Armor. The additional sovereign is 10 
if this is the second piece commissioned, or 20 if this is the third piece commissioned.
Optimum Order
You can get Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor by only paying 10 . Essentially there are two variables which you can manipulate: the order in which you present your materials and whether or not you pay. The optimum order is to do the following: present 3 drake scales and pay 10 to get the Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor, next present the single dragon scale without paying and you get the Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor, and lastly present the last 3 drake scales without paying to get the Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor.
Result: expend only 10 and get both sets of superior armour.
Note
The first time Wade crafts this for you the shop remains open however the second time you give scales to Wade, Herren will close the shop and not sell anything to you anymore.
