Wade's Superior Heavy Dragonscale Armor is one of the most powerful Armor Sets in Dragon Age: Origins, offering as much as 70% fire resistance. It can only be earned when you give dragonscales, dropped by High Dragons, to Wade in Wade's Emporium, Denerim. This is the Heavy Armor option.
Note that if you paid 20 gold earlier for Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor, then you will get the Superior set of this armor, which has twice the amount of fire resistance (70% total instead of 35%). Otherwise if you didn't pay 20 gold then you only get the regular Wade's Heavy Dragonscale Armor.

Acquisition
You first must acquire Dragonscale from the High Dragon. Make sure to sell extra equipment, as dragons have a considerable amount of loot. The High Dragon is found on the Mountain Top, outside of the Ruined Temple. The dragon is summoned using a horn that Kolgrim had in his possession. The dragon will only drop a single Dragonscale, which you will bring to Wade in his shop. Wade will forge one of three types of armor for you: Wade's Superior Dragonskin Armor, Wade's Superior Heavy Dragonscale Armor, and Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor. The effects will remain the same, but each armor with have a different armor and fatigue rating, as well as strength requirement.
Once giving him the Dragonscale, he will nearly instantly complete the armor. After completion, Herren will ban you from the shop.
If you did not pay for the Drakeskin armor, Wade will make "Wade's Heavy Dragonscale Armor" rather than "Wade's Superior Heavy Dragonscale Armor." The items in that set have half of the fire resistance, no stamina regeneration, and do not have the +5 Defense set bonus.
