Vanedrin Theirin is a king of Ferelden who reigned during the Blessed Age and the father of King Brandel Theirin.

Background

During his reign, the Orlesian Empire, under the rule of Emperor Reville, invaded Ferelden. Vanedrin was unable to unite Ferelden against the invaders, dying in the Battle of Lothering after Ardal Cousland, Teyrn of Highever was slain defending him.[1] As a member of the Theirin family, he is a descendant of Calenhad the Great, the first King of Ferelden.
