Cole Image Edit

Do you know anywhere that has a copy of the image of Cole on the back cover of Asunder? David Gaider confirmed that was indeed Cole so if we can find a copy of that image we could use that for the article.-HD3 (talk) 04:37, September 28, 2013 (UTC)

I guess that's settled already. Unfortunately there are letters in that part of the cover, but it seems you overcame these obstacles. Kudos to WardenWade. Viktoria Landers 12:18, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

Hello! Edit

Hi Vikky, it's been a while so I wanted to say hello! I hope you're doing well and that your classes are going well so far. Take care, Jen LadyAeducan (talk) 00:46, October 13, 2013 (UTC)

Orlais art Edit

Yes it is from Mark of The Assasin loading pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Леди боли (talkcontribs) 19:57, October 14, 2013‎

Thanks for you responce! By the way I am not sure why you deleted the other topic I sent in your talk page. Also don't forget to sign your posts. Viktoria Landers 12:18, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

Athras Image Edit

I linked your picture of Athras to a couple of pages, because the image they were linked to was pretty poor quality. I don't know enough about how images work on this site, but if every image linked to the original were to be switched to yours, would the image be better off deleted? It's pretty ...not good.

[1] This is the image I'm talking about, just for reference. 72.196.14.33 (talk) 00:34, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

Unused images are being deleted after one month... or at least that's what the rules say that should happen. Viktoria Landers 12:18, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

Quasi sets Edit

In DA2 are 11 to 17 armor sets, but there are also armor elements sharing same name like Commissioned Armor. I think it's worth to be noted on page of DA2 armor sets. What do you think about that?78.8.10.239 (talk) 18:29, October 17, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

Well, I should admit that I am not very knowledgable when it comes to DA2 armor. Mostlyautumn and HD3 are more experienced, I think. However, I'll try to give an answer. As far as I know the item sets in Dragon Age II list their bonus effect. When this bonus effect is listed the developers also "give" a name to the set which is used afterwards in the wiki.
By the way, why do you now name yourself StubbornMageSlayer instead of Dalish fan? :-P Viktoria Landers 19:49, October 17, 2013 (UTC)
I've changed, I am more bloodthirsty to my political oponents on the wiki, there will be no more compromise with Algol, cynical and stubborn supporter of mages, I no longer listen to his pro-mage propaganda. I want to act in games as I please, not because many do this. Dalish fan always tried diplomacy, StubbornMageSlayer doesn't even try. I got sick of Algol's words, so I decided to reject all he believes in, now I support templars, Dalish fan would sound silly then, so I changed my nick. It's less poetic and easier to interpretate than FreeStarvingWolf, which means I don't get fed by Algol's propaganda and I am hostile to my foes even if I am lonely in my believes.78.8.14.127 (talk) 20:02, October 17, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

I called the topic quasi sets, because those armor parts share same names, but grant no bonus.78.8.14.127 (talk) 20:30, October 17, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

Well, the "See also" tag used right now, is fine I believe. We do not need a separate armor set article. However we can add in a "Notes" paragraph in this page these quasi armor sets.
Look Dalishfan/StubbornMageSlayer, or I'll just call you "the Dragon Age fan from Dolnoslaskie, Wroclaw". You're passionate and idealist. That's good. However you also maintain a strong language barrier. Don't misunderstand me, I'm also not a native speaker and rarely I also misinterpret some expressions. However, if you realize that 1) people might mention things which you don't interpret right 2) people are allowed to have a different opinion of you, then you should realize that you need to stop that.
You were banned for a week, but with a new IP you continued to post in the wiki when it was obvious that you were not allowed to. That's just not right. However, I believe you have contributed in the wiki, not in the blogs and forums, but in the articles. I've tried to let people know of your past work and your language barrier, however this hatred I find in your last comment cannot be overshadowed anymore.
I believe the patience of the administration of this wiki is running thin, however I have a solution if you want to stay on this wiki. Rememember, I am on your side, that's why I want to help you: Avoid commenting in blog/forum posts; if you believe you cannot maintain a cool demeanor while commenting, I think the best option would be to avoid it. To focus on the articles of the wiki where you are indeed useful. Please think about it. Viktoria Landers 20:59, October 17, 2013 (UTC)

I realise people have different opinion than mine, but I simply don't care anymore, nobody listened to me, so I give them no quater. Algol ridiculed me too many times and remained unpunished and I was driven mad by reading his extremaly biased propaganda. I don't spread pro templar propaganda like he, I simply try to make pages about mage-templar conflict sound neutral and unbiased, so I replace emotional words on various articles. I've read thousand times the same words from Algol's pro-mage propaganda, they made me sick, so I decided to be Algol's counterpath. Joker created Batman and Batman created Joker. My hatred towards him was caused by him and it gave new direction. I am calm, when he's silent, what happens now.

New problem happened when Ralok appeared and oversensitively misinterpreted my words, he has problem with realising different opinions more than I already have. Henio0 was never punished for insulting me and if not Algol, he humiliates and provokes me. Comparing living people to dirt is the worst insult I've experienced. Revange is such human thing. I tried to explain everyone that Henio0 shows he's no better than me when insulting me. I don't try to provoke him, how he reacts is his choice. Even if people are provoked, they show their weakness, when they react on provocations as the provocator expects. I am not Vinetou to be unnaturaly calm. Emotions are no good nor evil, they are just fuel to peoples' motivations. My hatred made me more vigilant about articles of mage-templar conflicts and Alogol and HenioO's moves. That's no obsession, I spent in Internet several minutes a day.

If you think I didn't try to make my official account, they you're wrong. I tried 5 times, but wikia always failed to send me confirmation link of creation my new account. I gave myself a break after that and I have no desire for beaucracy with top wikia admins, I don't mean King Cousland, Loleil, Terrie and D-Day, but the admins of whole wikis with bigger authority.

It's better to unleash own hatred and anger as soon as possible, because all those sealed collected emotions won't stay sealed anymore in the worst possible moment. In other words I rather get angry earlier than later with bigger force. I definite calmness as getting run off anger, other ways are just collecting it.

You don't have to agree with me, I just try be to understood.78.8.137.146 (talk) 21:33, October 17, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSLayer

Tatoo and text Edit

I added new pictures on tattoos page and extended some texts in order to make them match in sizes. However I ran out of ideas and memories about tatoos in the games. I consider making a gallery as an alternative presentation. What do you think?78.8.139.154 (talk) 17:25, October 19, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

I've made a revision to the page. I hope it is to your liking. Viktoria Landers 19:57, October 19, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much, Victoria.78.8.139.154 (talk) 20:00, October 19, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer
By the way, where did you find out that we can use tattoos on our Inquisitor? Viktoria Landers 23:47, October 19, 2013 (UTC)
I simply thought the character customization will work the same as in previous game. Call it speculation, I call it guessing.78.8.149.9 (talk) 17:18, October 22, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer
It's a logical guess but we still use facts on pages. From what I've seen another editor had already removed that part. Viktoria Landers 19:17, October 22, 2013 (UTC)
That was Henio0, but when tatoos are confirmed in DAI, I'll undo it and write "I was correct about tatoos". I also though Fellhammer is a warrior caste, because he wears an armor and has weapon. Besides why would an emissary be a noble or smith? However I wonder if he is a warrior or smith caste, because he spoke what the smiths need from the Warden. I guess you saw that darkspawn civil war was edited on my request. Question remains if there will be next threesome conflicts?78.8.149.9 (talk) 19:44, October 22, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer
Yes I noticed it and thanked D-day for her assistance. I'll get on that page as soon as I finish other conflict pages. As for other three-sided conflicts, there are no other up until now. Chantry may take a separate route in the Mage-Templar war, but it does not have an army right now (except a few loyal Seekers) and I expect it will pick a side based on the actions of the Inquisitor. If it does not, and raise an army on its own and so on, that remains to be seen. Viktoria Landers 05:55, October 24, 2013 (UTC)
I expect Inquisition sooner than the Andrastian Chantry as the 3rd side of M-T war, because the modern Inquisition is a self-important organisation working for nobody but itself and simply adopted the name of the predecessor of templars and seekers. Besides the journalists made me disilusioned that DA world is binary like hell, you can be with mages or against them, there is no room for neutrality. Bioware did exacly, what I didn't want including this stupid dialogue wheel.78.8.241.88 (talk) 07:52, October 24, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

IRC Edit

Hi Vikky, I'll be hanging around on IRC for a little while if you're around to chat. I'll catch you another day if you're not available. :-) LadyAeducan (talk) 20:24, October 20, 2013 (UTC)

I'm really sorry but I was not online at that time. Viktoria Landers 02:26, October 21, 2013 (UTC)

Idea for symbol of dwarves Edit

I think, if darkspawn have sybol of File:Creature icon1.png as their symbol, then I suggest to use File:Talent-DwarvenResistance icon.png as their symbol on pages of conflicts. Both symbols are already used for abilities.78.8.149.9 (talk) 08:58, October 22, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

That's a very good idea. But let's use that for the dwarves collectively, not separately for dwarven characters as they already have their own house heraldry (which might know or not). Viktoria Landers 14:59, October 22, 2013 (UTC)
I used that symbol on page of 1st, 4th and 5th Blight. As you suggest that symbol will be used for the dwarves collectly, not for centrain characters like Oghren or Varric.78.8.149.9 (talk) 17:07, October 22, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

Certrain battles and certain city states Edit

I wonder if making separate pages for battles make sense. For example in darkspawn civil war only battle of vigil's keep has separate page, when there were battles at Kal'Hirol and Wedding Woods, but they don't have separate pages. In the 5th blight some battles are only mentioned but not all of them have separate pages, only Ostagar and Denerim have own pages about the war with darkspawn. Maybe some battles don't own pages, because their outcomes are too variable.

Another case is on some conflict pages are mentioned Free Marches, but that's not a country like Ferelden, they are independent city states, so maybe names of the city states instead of name of this land should be mentioned. Main point is Free Marches aren't united, but are mentioned, when certain cities take part in conflicts. I suggest for example to change Free Marches on Starkhaven in 2nd BLight and to change FM on Kirkwall and Starkhaven in Qunari Wars.

I wish to know your thoughts about that.78.8.139.94 (talk) 08:17, October 23, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

Well, about the first issue you raised, I think a major condition for creating a sub-conflict page (eg. Vigil's Keep, Wending Wood, Kal'Hirol) or not, is how many details we know about it to warrant a separate article. Similarly, I'd love to have a page about the Orlesian invasion in Ferelden but we barely know anything.
As for the second issue, I think Free Marches share a common culture (see Free-Marches wide tourneys, or calling themselves as "Free Marchers") as well as a united military during invasions. Subsequently, in both Blights and Qunari Wars, the individual Free Marches states fought as one and thus should be regarded as such (not by giving credit to only one faction of the Free Marches). Viktoria Landers 05:55, October 24, 2013 (UTC)
What about Adding demons as 3rd party in M-T war? Or do you rather have a separate page of Demon Invasion, which happens in DAI?78.8.241.192 (talk) 07:51, October 25, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer
Before making such an expansion, it would be better to wait until DA:I is out and we have the information wouldn't it?-HD3 (talk) 08:35, October 25, 2013 (UTC)
I understand.78.8.241.192 (talk) 10:15, October 25, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer
What HD3 says. I think they will indeed be a 3rd party but let's be more patient and avoid speculations ;) Viktoria Landers 11:16, October 25, 2013 (UTC)

Kirkwall Rebellion Icons Edit

Hey Viktoria, whatever happened, it's stopped a lot of the icons on that page from displaying.-HD3 (talk) 10:11, October 24, 2013 (UTC)

Resolved. Viktoria Landers 23:17, October 24, 2013 (UTC)

About icons not Kirkwall. What made you invent an idea that heraldy of demons is wolf from shield fade wall? I wonder if Ash warriors couldn't have origins berserker symbol, I thought about that because in Orzammar are no wolves except for blight wolves, but dwarves wouldn't use a ghoul as their symbol. I also added demon heraldies to Kirkwall rebelion. I saw your edition of battle of soldier's peak, it was a nice idea. I also wonder if we couldn't add darkspawn as 3rd party in Fereldan civil war.78.8.241.192 (talk) 07:34, October 25, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

About demon heraldry; it's the only heraldry use by a demon that we know of. About Ash Warriors, they may have knowledge about berserker training but that's only an aspect of what they really are. I think it would be wrong if we add heraldries based on only an aspect of what a group really is, especially when we don't know their real heraldry. Fereldan civil war, as the name says, is the civil war fought between Fereldans. Adding darkspawn to it would be wrong. However there is still a clear mention of them in the article and how they benefited from it, so I think we're just fine. As for the Kirkwall rebellion, I replied in HD3's talk page. Viktoria Landers 11:16, October 25, 2013 (UTC)

Replied on my own talk page. -HD3 (talk) 11:21, October 25, 2013 (UTC)

Do you see a resemblance between the icon and the shield and arm armor?

78.8.241.192 (talk) 14:15, October 25, 2013 (UTC)StubborMageSlayer

Indeed, there is a continuity in colors. I think their real heraldry would probably bear resemblance to the berserker symbol, but with some fereldan additions. Viktoria Landers 15:47, October 25, 2013 (UTC)

Kal'Hirol Gallery Edit

Could we get some images with a bit more diversity? Like the pit with the brood mothers, the forget and the assembly hall where you see the ghosts making the speech maybe -—Preceding unsigned comment added by HD3 (talkcontribs) 12:16, October 28, 2013

These images were taken from the "Kal'Hirol" location, so having them in the Kal'Hirol page is accurate. The pit with the broodmothers is in the lower reaches, which is a different location. However, I'll take an image of the broodmothers and the ghost speech as you requested. Viktoria Landers 13:11, October 28, 2013 (UTC)

Dat Varric image Edit

Holey sheet, when I first got the message I only skimmed it and thought it would be a hussle, and just planned on doing it when I get more time. But it turned out to be just a 30 second job. Maaaan, sorry it took so long.

Here they be: Varric naked Varric fondling Bianca naked Varric and Bianca porn

Three versions to choose from. Lemme know if you want another one or two, if these ain't right.

Now, was there anything else and I need to work on my attention span as I can't see any more graphic needs on my talk page, or did I miss something and there's something else the wiki needs? :)

Again, sorry for the delay. Henio0 (talk) 09:03, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

It's okay Henio0! RL comes first ;) I'll send your pictures over to D-day since we cannot edit the main page portal. Right now we're working on the Template:Icon pictures and there is something in which you can help.
The File:Amell Family Crest.jpg and File:Chantry symbol eye.png heraldries are not square and transparent. Could you fix them? As a side note, try the (transparent) background of these images to be as small as possible while still maintaining their square shape. Cheers! Viktoria Landers 09:47, October 30, 2013 (UTC)
Are we after something like that, or a crispier cut with less jarring edges? :) 1 and 2
I've done these automatically, but if we need something smoother, I will have to dedicate half an hour or so to trace them more closely. Let me know :)Henio0 (talk) 09:18, October 31, 2013 (UTC)
EDIT:I've made a quick tracing of the original heraldry from the game. Might be a better option, because the one you linked me to seems to be altered (with "holes" in it to make it look dated). This one would look kinda like the Qunari Tide and Templar Order sword logo. Here it is boii] This is of course a quick one in Photoshop, I could make a crisp one in Illustrator. Henio0 (talk) 09:26, October 31, 2013 (UTC)
Looks perfect! If you could turn them into square shape then we will be good to go! Viktoria Landers 09:32, October 31, 2013 (UTC)
A'ight, here we go. Seekers symbol nice and crisp and square Amells. Now, is there anything else? Perhaps Inquisition symbol needs the same treatment? Henio0 (talk) 09:18, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Many thanks! I've given the rest of the heraldries to Margerard to work on them. The rest of them (about 20-30) are all square shaped so they only need to get a transparent background as well as remove as much background as possible, in order to highlight the heraldry itself. If you're interested in helping her out, feel free to message her ;-) Viktoria Landers 09:28, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Golems of Amgarrak Improvements Edit

Hey Viktoria, I wrote up those articles you wanted. You can check them here:

Also the images for Sentinel (golem) and Watchers were backwards so i've corrected and replaced them. -HD3 Sig 14:47, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

Great work! Will check them out as soon as I finish with the temporary companions pages. Viktoria Landers 17:22, October 30, 2013 (UTC)
Regarding your question about any potential improvements.
  • I've expanded the Sentinel and Watcher articles to include the 'Enraged' variants.
  • I think the current quest walkthrough is more than sufficient given the combat heavy nature of this DLC.
  • Also given Amgarrak is more challening gampelay wise, I was wondering if it might be worth putting a note at the top of the DLC and first main quest page, noting this and suggesting it might be worth making preparations beforehand since there are no shops or similar in the DLC itself.
  • Also, for some reason Amgarrak is listed as Amgarrak Thaig. It's listed on the in game map as just Amgarrak, so it might be worth renaming it? I think maybe we could leave one "Amgarrak Thaig" at the start for clarity though.

-HD3 Sig 06:11, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

It's unusual to add warnings about the difficulty of a whole DLC, not just a quest, or a part of it. I am not sure where we should put such warning..
We usually list the official name of the location, and in that case, is the "Amgarrak Thaig", not just "Amgarrak". Viktoria Landers 10:27, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
I know that's my question. Why is it called Amgarrak Thaig? What are we citing as the proof that's the official name? It's just called Amgarrak both in dialogue and on the map. Like Bownammar. -HD3 Sig 12:09, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Two Questions Edit

Couple questions for you regarding the items in The Darkspawn Chronicles. Currently there are Small Darkspawn Shield and Small Darkspawn Shield (Awakening), and I'm going to add a new page for the version in DC right now. I'll want to rename the first one to add in (Origins) to make them distinguishable, but then how do I make a disambiguation page to list all three?

After you rename the page, you visit the former page, in this case Small Darkspawn Shield?redirect=no, you delete the redirect code and insert the one found here for example, just with different names this time. Viktoria Landers 11:09, November 2, 2013 (UTC)

Also somewhat related, do you know how to figure out the stat bonuses for armor sets? Darkspawn Plate Armor and Darkspawn Plate Boots grant bonuses to defense and constitution, but I can't find anywhere in the item description that shows the exact number on the stats. Kelcat (talk) 02:47, November 2, 2013 (UTC)

As far as I know, there are two ways; the first is to check how much defense and constitution does the NPC have before all pieces are put together, and when are all put together, calculate the difference. Obviously make sure that there are no active effects during this process as they may influence the numbers. A more certain way is through the use of toolset, however I have no knowledge about this. User:-Sophia is an expert on it ;) Viktoria Landers 11:09, November 2, 2013 (UTC)
Cool, thanks for the help! Kelcat (talk) 22:23, November 2, 2013 (UTC)

House Kondrat Edit

I see you've made a page about House Kondrat. I wondered about giving more informations, but I need to discuss first. In 9:10 Oghren married Branka and his house was consumend by his wife house is last what you wrote. In understanding of mine Konrads still existed until they all died in Deep Roads. Before meeting the Warden Oghren was grounded, which means he kept his warrior status but he had no right to carry weapon. Branka either excomunicates Oghren or dies with her house, I interpretate this like Oghren becomes Konrad again until exiles himself. Then House Kondrad is really extinct for Orzammar, but Oghren lives and meets Felsi, with who he has a child. In my understanding House Konrad is a surface house like house Tethras.78.10.82.201 (talk) 19:47, November 3, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

To the Shaperate, House Kondrat is a dead house. When Oghren was kicked out of House Branka after he killed a son of Lord Meino in the Provings, he didn't get back to his old warrior house. In similar cases, according to other codex entries, they have allowed the dwarves to pick a new name for themselves but not one of an extinct house. Viktoria Landers 19:52, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
It is also possible that Oghren was entirely stripped of a house name, and he does not have a new one. Viktoria Landers 20:03, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
On the surface how he calls himself means nothing to Orzammar and he hates all what has any conection to his homeland. In my country a divorced returns to old last name. However Oghren may have no surname anymore, but he has blood of Kondrats, so has his kid. Felsi moved on the surface, but its likely she abandoned her family name with her caste. If this couple cares about those rules of Orzammar, then their kid also has no surname.78.10.82.201 (talk) 20:41, November 3, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

Weapon images Edit

Hi Viktoria! Could you please give me the link to the forum discussion regarding weapon images? I'm sorry about the Yusaris upload - I had no idea about the discussion. -Sophia (talk) 10:15, November 5, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Sophie! Here's the discussion. By the way, if you're looking to do some work around the wiki, I have some tasks available right now! Smiley Viktoria Landers 10:20, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! I'll help out if I can with the tasks - let me know what you need! :) -Sophia (talk) 10:48, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
The Special:WhatLinksHere/DLC shows that many pages link to the disambiguation DLC page instead of Downloadable content (Origins) or Downloadable content (Dragon Age II). So we need to manually diversify which link should go either to one page or the other. In rare cases the term is used in a broader sense, so we should link to the main page, which would be instead: DLC
I hope you're interested in this task :) Viktoria Landers 11:10, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
I am, although I'm afraid I don't understand what to do. For example, the second link on the Special:WhatLinksHere/DLC page is to http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Zevran_Arainai. I can click on that, but what exactly on that page should I be doing? Or is it that I need to click on where it says http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Special:WhatLinksHere?target=Zevran+Arainai and then do something on that page? Sorry - I'd appreciate it if you could explain it very simply, if possible! -Sophia (talk) 15:34, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Umm sorry for not mentioning more details, I wasn't sure that they were needed or not. The application Special:WhatLinksHere shows which pages link to the page we enter. In this case, which pages link to the "DLC" page. However, there should not be links to "DLC" but rather to Downloadable content (Origins) or Downloadable content (Dragon Age II) in the form of DLC and DLC, much like when in an item summary we don't say "X is a longsword in Dragon Age: Origins" but rather "X is a longsword in Dragon Age: Origins". So we need to click each result, press edit, and find (ctrl+f) the parts where it links to the DLC page and change the link to the aforementioned pages.
In the case where the "DLC" means the Origins DLC page, we should link to Downloadable content (Origins) and in the other case, the DAII DLC page. And I added to that earlier, that in the rare cases when the term is used in a broader sense, we should link to the main page, which would be instead: DLC
I hope I am making more sense now :) Viktoria Landers 17:13, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you, that was very helpful! I will work through the list whenever I can. -Sophia (talk) 19:47, November 5, 2013 (UTC)
Hi Viktoria! I have been updating the pages, and have encountered a small problem: in some of the articles, e.g. Staves (Origins), the links that need editing are within a table. I don't know how to get at them, however, as using the Edit button on the articles doesn't show me the actual contents of the tables. Could you please help? -Sophia (talk) 16:26, November 10, 2013 (UTC)
Good work so far! Well, these links are generated by the |notes line in the infobox of the individual staff pages. So if you fix them in there, they won't show up in the Staves (Origins) page too! Viktoria Landers 17:05, November 10, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, I see! Thank you. :) -Sophia (talk) 17:26, November 10, 2013 (UTC)
Hi again! I have another related issue that I was hoping you could help with: On this page there is a table that includes "DLC" a few times within it, for example in the row for the Robes of Avernus. I've checked, and there doesn't seem to be anything left to correct on the Robes of Avernus page. Is there any way to get to that line in the table to edit it? -Sophia (talk) 17:26, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
Just updating to say that I think that this task is completed. The only pages I have not edited are those in talk pages, user blogs, and forum pages, and those in the Project Kinloch Hold. Would you like those done, too? -Sophia (talk) 21:41, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
I was wondering if I could check something about the image guidelines. Loleil says on the discussion page, "So let's make 3 our gold standard for weapons going forward." As my image was of style 3, and the existing image of Yusaris is of style 6, were you maybe referring to a different, more recent discussion? (I did check the http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Age_Wiki:Image_guidelines page, too.) -Sophia (talk) 12:47, November 6, 2013 (UTC)
I was referring to this discussion. Sadly it turned inactive even if it had a good start. By the way I noticed that you just finished with the DLC links. Very good job! I think you learned some things while editing (as you encountered some things you had not witnessed before). I was wondering if you're interested in a different task, which might help you learn something new as well Smiley Viktoria Landers 22:26, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
I'll give it a try! What do you need? (Also, did you see the two questions I asked on the 15th, just above this?) -Sophia (talk) 23:18, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
Ahh sorry I didn't notice the paragraphs above. Well, you're done. The links from inactive pages or content which you should not normally edit (such as talk page messages or comments) will remain as they are. The goal was to fix the mainspace links, which you did in an excellent fashion. As I'll soon head for sleep, I'll send you tomorrow morning more details about it. Perhaps you can enter the chat tomorrow and inform you in real time. Anyway, good night!
PS. I've noticed that you leave two spaces after a fullstop. I hope you do not follow this practice in the mainspace too :-P Viktoria Landers 23:26, November 15, 2013 (UTC)
LOL! Yes, it's a habit. I became aware recently that we should only use one in the articles, and am careful to do so, but I think there will be two spaces in my older edits. If I spot any, I will correct them. :) -Sophia (talk) 23:30, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

Cassandra's quotes Edit

I think 2 quotes of Cassy were too tedious, so I removed them. However she needs more quotes and more interesting ones. I haven't played for long time, so I don't remember most of them.78.8.142.44 (talk) 23:23, November 7, 2013 (UTC)

Well I can't access DAII to find more quotes of her, though I doubt there are much more around. I also agree for removing these two quotes, they were not good enough. Viktoria Landers 07:38, November 8, 2013 (UTC)

Idol and Forum Edit

On page of the lyrium idol the current picture in infobox shows more of Bartrand than the statue. As an Anon I can't put a zoomed picture of that item from this image, so I ask you to do this.

Also I made a new topic on forum for ones, who like speculating 2.78.8.141.163 (talk) 23:02, November 8, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

The picture has been updated by another user a few hours ago, however it will take some time before it shows up in the page. Viktoria Landers 23:09, November 8, 2013 (UTC)

Unnamed topic #1 Edit

I saw you edited page of the Grey Wardens, I added new info to section dwarves and wardens. I ask you ąs dwarf expert to check if it's correct.84.40.254.244 (talk) 19:51, November 10, 2013 (UTC)StubbornMageSlayer

Well, the Legion of the Dead or the Rock-Knockers are not the dwarven version of the Grey Wardens. You might want to remove that paragraph as it is incorrect. Viktoria Landers 20:08, November 10, 2013 (UTC)

black emporium Edit

check bug section JH EP (talk) 16:48, November 12, 2013 (UTC) http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/The_Black_Emporium

it is a bug, right?why did you move it to somewhere pointless?!?!?! JH EP (talk) 08:31, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
The trivia section is not the "pointless" section of the article. Even if the official game guide states such thing, it is no certain that the official game guide was right and the game version is wrong. As such, it may not be a bug of this DLC, so I moved it to the trivia section. Viktoria Landers 08:35, November 13, 2013 (UTC)

Harlequin Edit

why did you just delete everything i wrote here and named it clean up?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by JH EP (talkcontribs) 13:05, November 13, 2013‎

I have just removed the Combat tactics table as it is not used on any enemy page. Tierrie seems interested to turn it into a template, so it is possible that the information will be restored in the future, just in a different style. Viktoria Landers 13:13, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
harlequin in mota, carta master sniper ,grey wardens ,false anders and dwarf commader(his name was ratigan i think) in legacy are all characters and use talent not like other DA2 DUMMY enemies which only attack, they act exactly like your party members and like enemies in DA1.and they are ranked "100" in game files instead of ..."3" for elite rank,"4" for boss rank, "5" for elite boss rank
i went through a number of game files to get that tactic information and i had plan to do it for all enemies especially ranked enemies so you know when they do what and can understand them better for example there was a mention of harlequin using Miasmic Flask when there are 2 character standing near each-other which after reading this you know that if you dont want to get STUN you have to make your party members stay away from each-other
And you just cleaned everything up like that?!?!??!?!??!??!?!?!!!!!!!
what is this template you mentioned BTW? JH EP (talk) 13:43, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
The information is not lost JH EP. It is still archived in the page's history and it can be retrieved at any moment. As I've told you before it was removed (and probably temporarily) for consistency. That is because such combat tactics information is not presented in any other enemy page.
The template that is quite likely to be created, and will allow you to add this info in a much easier and quicker fashion than before. Viktoria Landers 13:56, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
dont delete everything this time,ok? JH EP (talk) 18:01, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
Keep in mind that the nature of a wiki is that information will be added and deleted by various users all the time. It's not really realistic to expect people to not delete things you add just because you don't want them to. Kelcat (talk) 18:17, November 13, 2013 (UTC)
so tell me:
Harlequin is a occupation?are you joking?Harlequin is a titled character! JH EP (talk) 17:18, November 16, 2013 (UTC)
If she appeared only once, then we could consider "Harlequin" as the character's name. However as they are more than one, we cannot consider Harlequins as "a character" but as a title. Viktoria Landers 17:22, November 16, 2013 (UTC)
well,Harlequin can be a exception and special character,A Harlequing is intelligent and use tactics and such and even more dangerous than assassins in nightmare difficulty.
there is no other more suitable template?it should be TITLE instead of OCCUPATION! 17:27, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation Edit

Hi Viktoria,

I'm not sure, but I think the Resistances (Origins) page needs to be removed from the disambiguations category. It appears strangely within the table, right at the bottom. Looking at Amulets (Origins), for example, I see it doesn't have that category. I can't see how to do it myself, if it does need doing, so I wanted to let you know! -Sophia (talk) 22:46, November 13, 2013 (UTC)

There was a slight problem from a page that this article listed. I fixed it now and it should be alright. Cheers! Viktoria Landers 22:52, November 13, 2013 (UTC)

JH EP (talk) 23:57, November 18, 2013 (UTC)
where are you?????????????????????????????????????????????
JH EP (talk) 00:11, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
as for "|act=any" i did edited them to "|act=—" according to http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Acts_in_DA2_item_infoboxes
and i did not saw any rule about The Black Emporium 's act 2 and act3 items so i have changed them to "|act=2—" or "|act=3—" for now!do not revert them for now.
and i have edited other parts of The Black Emporium items except for "location" part. so do not undo them.
many of items had only The Black Emporium in their "location" part and just some of them had "store" attached to their "location" part.so i tried to make all of The Black Emporium items's location look alike!
because "store" and "buying price" is mentioned in "Acquisition" section ,i think adding "store" to "location" slot is duplicate and redundant.
so this is what i had to say if you want to discuss about what is right. JH EP (talk) 01:42, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
Adding both the store and the location of the store is not duplicate because these are not identical locations, but different. It's like saying: The Hanged Man, Lowtown Viktoria Landers 10:10, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
oh,ok.is there any rule about this like "|act" rules? —Preceding unsigned comment added by JH EP (talkcontribs) 12:15, November 19, 2013
As I had told you, there isn't. When there is an argument, in order to avoid edit warring, a discussion should be held and a consensus be reached. That's how we deal with issues in the wiki. And you're welcomed, if not encouraged, to start such discussion. Viktoria Landers 10:31, November 19, 2013 (UTC)

in that case i think it is better to write it with this style:

  • location(store name)
  • what do you think?
  • and will you say your opinion here?

http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Acts_in_DA2_item_infoboxes

By convention we usually list the exact location and then the general location. We don't say for example, Orzammar and then Shaperate. As for that discussion, I have already shared my opinion. Viktoria Landers 14:13, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
  • location is priority for "|locations=" slot right?then why do you want to write it at the end and in some parentheses?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!
  • i didnt saw any opinion of yours in there.

JH EP (talk) 14:35, November 19, 2013 (UTC)

    1. no answer? JH EP (talk) 19:52, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
I don't understand your first sentence. Please develop your talk page sentences.
My reply was the second one and was in favor of Mostlyautumn's suggestion. I'd like to remind you that creating an edit war is against the rules so I'd like to ask you again to stop changing the articles. There is an ongoing discussion about the acts and you can start another one about the locations. Viktoria Landers 21:40, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
i mean location is important part of "|location".so why add them in end of sentence instead of begining and you are saying that my suggestion is a fight? what a joke.right now you are reverting everyone's everything but i have done it once!

JH EP (talk) 21:51, November 19, 2013 (UTC)

Viktoria is right. There is an ongoing discussion regarding this on the forum. Guidelines say that until the issue is resolved, the information regarding Acts on various pages should remain as it originally was. If you continue to undo people's reversions, that is edit warring. Kelcat (talk) 22:05, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
i may have edited pages but as a matter of fact i have reverted one page and once

from yesterday till now i have changed things in item properties but not |location part and i have not edited |act part since yesterday but she did changed, edited and reverted these parts on some items while discussion is still going on and no agreements is made and now she is making my friendly suggestions look like a war which is making me ANGRY. so judge for yourself JH EP (talk) 22:18, November 19, 2013 (UTC)

Hey there. I finally made my account. Previously I used nicknames Dalish Fan and StubbornMageSlayer. I'd like to ask my best friend how to make signatures?FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 12:27, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

Hey! About time you made an account xD As for your question, see Help:Signature. Viktoria Landers 14:41, November 22, 2013 (UTC)
I had problems with wikia failing to send me confirmation link. I was lucky this time. If not those problems, I'd have made this long ago.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 18:01, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

I saw you discussing about renaming Darkspawn Civil War, I think "Amarantine Conflict" sounds general. If I was joking I'd call it semi-blight or mini-blight, but I am a serious person, I think "Darkspawn Raids on Amarantine" would be better. I think word Darkspawn, not just Amarantine should be in this name.

By the way, you made a signatur with blood mage symbol, I try to make a signature with duelist symbol, because I like green.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 19:39, November 22, 2013 (UTC)

I have made a new suggestion now. As for my signature, it was made by a former chat member as I'm very newbie with image editing.

Antaam Edit

Some time ago I wrote about making categories of antaam and equivalent of craftsmen and priests. Soldiers are the body of the Qun, craftsmen are the mind and priests are the soul. Because Asala means the soul, I think we already know the name of the priest equivalent to antaam. I think we can with no problem make category antaam and put there all qunari excluding Tallis, because she belongs to asala. We need translation of mind in qunlat, but only Arigena is the only notable one, who could belong to the 3rd equivalent. I just wanted to reveal what was in my mind.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 13:43, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

That's a good idea. But first we need a separate page about the Antaam and then a category. Viktoria Landers 13:53, November 24, 2013 (UTC)
I made the article, but I have problem with references.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 14:13, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Re:Categories Edit

Victoria, I think specialization categories on protagonist pages aren't necessary. Leliana is a protagonist, bard and she doesn't have other specialization categories despite she can be a shadow, a duelist or an assassin. DAO Companions don't have other specializations then they already have when we meet them. I am OK with categoriess like Surface and smith for Dagna, because that's status quo, but specializations are a different matter.Rogue duelistFirstDrellSpectre

I started a forum about that and I do hope I'll find arguments to make protagonists without spec categories. 3 Rogue duelistFirstDrellSpectre

I hate JH EP, he insults me for saying something he disagrees with. Unlike him I don't call nonsense things I disagree with, I simply ignore them. @FirstDrellSpectre, remember that you have been punished in the past for your behavior. I had advised you and still do, to ignore those who you think they offend you.
@JH EP, personal attacks such as asking for someone's age is not allowed in this wiki. You recently received a ban from Tierrie, so I suggest you to be more careful.

Viktoria Landers 21:13, November 27, 2013 (UTC)

@Viktoria Landers Bah,personal attack?personal attack? PERSONAL ATTACK?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!!!!!!!!!!
well he is such a arrogant child and delate everything that i do to everyone else and think that if someone look him else than normal it is an insult. i really hate him very much because he hate mages and he is unreasonable among other things but tried to be friendly with him. he sounds like a real brat to me. i have never met someone as brat as him in my entire life. i will try to be more friendly if he is that touchy and i only do it because of wiki rules. absolutely for rule's sake. not because of anyone or anything else.
and that ban was completely for something else and it was my fault and only related to myself. it was not related to my edits if that is what you think. not even a bit. i have corrected |act and |location only because i saw majority like it that way. not because of any ban,or you or anyone or anything else. you can not push me because of that.
@ I will try to be more friendly with you but only, only and only because of wiki's rules. absolutely for rule's sake. not because of your delates or anyone or anything else.
try to be less childish and act like majority

Question Edit

Denerim market district's guards are supposed to attack The Warden's party at some point???? - JH EP - Talk - Contribs 08:23, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

In Origins? No, the only fight you can have with them is in a side alley by either stealing and getting caught in Denerim or attacking the sergeant and his men during Pearls Before Swine or while trying to rescue Queen Anora. The only fight happening in the Market District is with Raelnor Hawkwind in A Change in Leadership and Ser Landry (and perhaps his men too). Viktoria Landers 09:24, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

stealing and getting caught in Denerim?how?

while trying to rescue Queen Anora?you mean guards of arl howe in his estate or something else?

- JH EP - Talk - Contribs 09:30, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

When you perform a stealing action, you may fail, should your stealing skill be low. If this happens a couple of times in the market district, then, when you travel within Denerim you get a random encounter with the guards. When you beat the first of them, another encounter happens with more guards which is much more difficult. Yes about Anora I meant in the Arl of Denerim's estate. Viktoria Landers 09:40, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

hmm...i didnt know about this stealing. is it related to that sergeant in front of master wade's shop?

also a few days ago i red it in one of wiki pages that if i poison some one after completion of a certain main quest, denerim market district's guards turn hostile and attack!

Alack that i didnt pay much attention abut it and now i dont remember about which quest that was and search didnt help me. - JH EP - Talk - Contribs 09:51, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

There is fight with the guards in the Market District in Leliana's Song and The Darkspawn Chronicles. Could it be one of these? Viktoria Landers 09:53, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

no i am pretty sure that it was about origins - JH EP - Talk - Contribs 09:55, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

The only possible poisoning in the Market district is during Acquire Ser Nancine's sword and Steal the teyrn's crown. And these ones are inside the Wonders of Thedas and Gnawed Noble Tavern respectively and do not make denerim guards hostile. Viktoria Landers 10:09, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

Refering to this page:

http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Slim_Couldry

i guess information about guards attacking The Warden's party on that page, that i had visited some days ago might be fake. - JH EP - Talk - Contribs 11:14, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah that's caused by failed stealing attempts and it's already mentioned here. Viktoria Landers 11:19, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

Personal opinion Edit

Hey Viktoria! Could we have a discussion re personal opinion versus fact as it concerns the toolset? I had thought that the toolset was the ultimate arbiter of what was "fact", as it contains the writers' intentions in the character biographies. There is no ambiguity; this is what the characters are. (If it's already established somewhere that the toolset isn't to be used, then I'm happy to go along with it.) -Sophia (talk) 10:19, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

This is a DA2 codex entry. Despite the fact that it is in the game files themselves we use that notification above to not regard it as canon source, unless it is confirmed otherwise. In other words, unless the codex entry is able to be acquired in-game (irrelevant of being bugged or otherwise) then we do not consider it as canon source. Similarly, the toolset provides description for characters which are not mentioned in-game (by other NPCs, codex entries, etc). That description, in my opinion, should be dealt with similarly as the codex entries in DA2. Viktoria Landers 10:33, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, I see. That makes sense. (I wish I'd thought to ask this before -- there are a lot of articles I've edited with toolset information that now need to be corrected! *smacks forehead* :) ) -Sophia (talk) 10:39, November 29, 2013 (UTC)
You could move that info to a trivia section below. That would still preserve them in the article ;-) Viktoria Landers 10:48, November 29, 2013 (UTC)

Hi, Vikky! Looks like you renamed the Trap-Making pages/categories already. Awesome! BTW, I noticed that not all rune tracings are on the Runecrafting category page or in the sub-categories. Either the bot missed them or the database wasn't updating. I'll attempt to fix them. --BlueOtter (talk) 21:38, December 7, 2013 (UTC)

Hello! Yes, please do so Smiley By the way I have noticed that you use two spaces after a fullstop. That's okay, but be careful to not add them in mainspace articles too. Viktoria Landers 21:45, December 7, 2013 (UTC)
Whoa... I cannot forget decades of learned habit, and my grammar teacher would be rolling in her grave. ;-) However, I'll comply if and when I delve into the articles.
BTW, the rune tracing categories are fixed. It's weird that the WikiActivity page shows that photos has also been added. I didn't even touch that part of the editing. Another unsolved mystery... --BlueOtter (talk) 22:24, December 7, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, I am not sure why. For the record, Special:Recentchanges is a much better way to track wiki's activity, in case you didn't know it already ;-) Viktoria Landers 22:29, December 7, 2013 (UTC)

Check on Anders Edit

add this two things as you see fit - JH EP - Talk - Contribs 18:40, December 8, 2013 (UTC)

I am not sure why you don't add it on your own, but alright. Also please do not insert full http links as section titles. Viktoria Landers 18:51, December 8, 2013 (UTC)
I was in a hurry to go somewhere and had no time to add it my self :D that is why i asked you and Ok about not inserting full http links as section titles. - JH EP - Talk - Contribs 02:30, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

Epilogue Project Edit

Hi Viktoria! I wanted to update you on the work I've been doing on the Epilogue (Origins) page.

The epilogue consists of:

(1) Coronation. (2) Funeral (if Hero dead) OR Post-coronation ceremony. (3) Epilogue slideshow. (4) End credits.

At the moment, I have been working on (1) and (2) here and the slideshow here. (I've left (4) alone, although there is a reference to it in the epilogue's trivia that I've retained).

Both those sandbox pages have at the top the things that still need to be checked. Other than those listed things, I believe everything on those two pages is correct. My intention is to check things once I reach the epilogue in my game, and then use the debug facility to check other options once I have my final save.

There are some things I can't see in the toolset: the file for the post-coronation ceremony dialogue between the ruler and the Hero is empty, for example. Specifically, I need to check the exact options offered as a boon. Also, the toolset does not have any content for a Hero who is Alistair's mistress. If someone can obtain the exact wording of the slides for that situation, along with any variations depending on other choices made, I will add those in.

I've been thinking about a possible split for the epilogue page, with the slideshow having its own page. I have looked at what links to the current epilogue, and was thinking that it would not be too onerous a task to edit the pages that link to particular slides. I would be willing to do it. I won't do anything without making it a split candidate and getting the community's views, though. -Sophia (talk) 14:00, December 9, 2013 (UTC)

Sophie, you've done a great and wonderful job so far! Thanks for letting me know of your progress! If you ever need assistance with a slideshow, please let me know :) Viktoria Landers 17:26, December 9, 2013 (UTC)

Bronto question Edit

I noticed that you removed and then partially restored the trivia I'd added to the Bronto article. Would you mind saying why? The trivia was taken, word for word, from the Bronto creature file in the toolset, so has developer confirmation as the exact information that the Bronto was based on. As such, it seemed appropriate as trivia for the article. Is it that the toolset doesn't count as a reference? If that is so, I think perhaps a discussion is needed; I think the toolset, being a free resource that anyone with a PC can use, and one that was specifically offered to players by the developers, should be considered a canon source for the trivia section (but not for the main article). -Sophia (talk) 09:36, December 12, 2013 (UTC)

This comparison was unsourced, which is common case when readers find something similar to something they encountered/know from elsewhere and add it in the article. That's why I removed it. However, since I found that info back, I restored the entry (with a reference this time) minus the latin translation which was irrelevant. Viktoria Landers 09:40, December 12, 2013 (UTC)
That's what I wanted to clarify -- it wasn't unsourced, as I commented when I made the edit that it was from the toolset. Does the toolset not count as a source? Or is it that there should be a clear reference (that is, one that appears in the References section) when information from the toolset is included? I agree the Latin is irrelevant, although as it was part of that same developer note explaining the basis for the Bronto, it seemed useful to include for anyone interested who wanted to look it up. -Sophia (talk) 09:50, December 12, 2013 (UTC)
In order to add a source to a statement, we do not mention it in the edit summary, but in a reference. When I had removed the trivia, I had no clue that you had mentioned its source in the edit summary. And yes, references from the toolset are valid. I am also in the chat if you want to discuss it more, by the way. Viktoria Landers 09:57, December 12, 2013 (UTC)
No, that's okay. I should have thought to reference it properly; thinking about it now, I don't know why I never did! Thank you! I'll make sure to add the proper reference in future. -Sophia (talk) 10:00, December 12, 2013 (UTC)
Glad to help :) Perhaps you might be interested in some tips about image categorization, by the way? Viktoria Landers 10:04, December 12, 2013 (UTC)

Nug/Mabari Edit

Hey! Unless BioWare officially licensed the products, I don't think they belong on the wiki. They often promote fan created art and such, but that doesn't mean it's licensed. If they are licensed products, then there should be a link to a page which specifically states that they are (rather than some website where people sell all sorts of homemade stuff). Otherwise it's opening the door to a lot of fan created things that David Gaider and other developers often promote on their official tumblr, twitter and other such pages. Kelcat (talk) 23:56, December 12, 2013 (UTC)

I think they are very cute. Especially the nug! Would you consider ordering one? :) Viktoria Landers 00:07, December 13, 2013 (UTC)
Well, my personal opinion about them isn't that important, but no, I wouldn't pay money for those things. My original point still stands, though, regardless of whether they're "cute". Kelcat (talk) 00:14, December 13, 2013 (UTC)
Well, I think the link before also served as an answer to your question. Yes, they are officially licensed products. Sanshee.com is not homemade stuff. Viktoria Landers 00:20, December 13, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry, no, the link wasn't clear, and there's no information on the images that are uploaded, nor is there a license attached to them. I've never heard of that site before, and from what I could see of the info they provide on it, it looked to me like it is similar to cafepress, which sells things that aren't necessarily homemade but aren't entirely official either. If they're officially licensed that's good and I'm fine with them staying if they are, but it's strange to me that it doesn't say that anywhere. You'd think they'd try to be more clear on that issue. I think that should be made more clear on the images themselves, as well.Kelcat (talk) 00:52, December 13, 2013 (UTC)

Item Prices Edit

Hey! So on Executioner's Helm I had apparently put the wrong price and someone corrected it. You removed the price, saying that it varies by tier. All well and good, but... I've been adding prices to all the item pages to make it easier for people to reference, rather than having to flip back and forth to the vendor's page. My question is, are those prices on the vendor's page malleable? I was assuming that they always sold the same tier, so the prices on the merchant's page would always be that price, no matter what. Am I incorrect? I'm about halfway through the Origins armor, and want to make sure that I'm not adding info that is completely wrong and unhelpful due to the vendor possibly selling different tiers at different prices :D Kelcat (talk) 18:44, December 16, 2013 (UTC)

The vendor's price would vary depending on the level that the Warden visits a particular area. When their inventory is restocked, I am not sure what happens then (probably the tier is matched again to the Warden's level). Which means that adding price on gear with variable tier is not possible. Viktoria Landers 18:51, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, then that means I have a lot of undoing to do. There's no mention on any merchant pages that those prices aren't concrete (nearly every armor piece varies in tiers). So I'm kind of curious as to how valuable it is to have that information on the vendor's pages as well, seeing as how there's no mention as to what tiers those prices are for. Kelcat (talk) 18:57, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
I'm working on skype with User:Mostlyautumn on an idea of mine to add (inside the ItemTransformer) a variable value on items and on a later date on merchant tables too. Which would be a huge improvement compared to the current listing of the basic tier-only values. Still even with the current listing, by simply multiplying a fixed number on the basic value, you can find the what-would-be values of different tiers of the same item. Viktoria Landers 19:06, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
That sounds useful. I'm unfortunately very bad with numbers and have difficulty conceptualizing finding out the different values for things, and I don't know that that would be easy or self-evident for everyone to do. Our timezones are different and I can't skype at work, but possibly discussions on the weekends could happen between us? Kelcat (talk) 19:14, December 16, 2013 (UTC)
As it happens with the merchant markups, ie. a fixed number which is multiplied with the item's value creates the selling price of the item, similarly this calculation model happens in tier value variations.
Yeah, Phoenix is pretty far from here, but I can still chat with Americans before I get to bed (just not when it is evening to them). Viktoria Landers 19:48, December 16, 2013 (UTC)

Unnamed topic #2 Edit

Just wondering why you removed my addition to the Gaxkang page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.68.94.0 (talkcontribs) 20:42, December 28, 2013

I guess you must be Hornacek, yes? Well, as I mentioned in the edit summary, you added some trivia which per the existing guidelines are not recommended to be added on pages. However, you are welcomed to open a topic in Talk:Gaxkang and mention that you wish to add such trivia as well as reasons to support your thesis. In addition, that particular edit of yours also added once more the categories of Gaxkang. I guess this one was made unintentionally. If you have any more questions, don't be afraid to ask! Viktoria Landers 01:10, December 29, 2013 (UTC)
But The Urn of Sacred Ashes is not one of the 4 main quests (Broken Circle, A Paragon of Her Kind, Nature of the Beast, The Arl of Redcliffe), it's part of The Arl of Redcliffe main quest.
If you complete The Urn of Sacred Ashes immediately after leaving Lothering the first time, you can encounter Zevran much sooner than if you had complete one of the 4 (longer) main quests. This is important if you want Zevran in your party ASAP.
When you encounter Zevran a lot of his Skills and Talents are probably not how you’d like them (no Traps or Stealing Skills, no Pick Locks Talents, and low Cunning score). When you meet him and he describes his skills he says he can pick locks, but he has no Pick Locks Talents. So if you want to assign Zevran's attributes, Skills and Talents as the earliest possible level, that's why it's important to get him ASAP by completing The Urn of Sacred Ashes quest only instead of one of the 4 main quests.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.68.94.0 (talkcontribs) 16:15, December 29, 2013‎
In fact, The Urn of Sacred Ashes is a main quest along with the other ones. It's just that you don't acquire at the same time as the other ones, since you're unaware of Eamon's condition by the time you reach Lothering. Help quest: 'the urn of sacred ashes' Edit

hey, i was wondering if you had ever completed the quest 'the urn of the sacred ashes'? If so, i was wondering if you know weaknesses of the drakes, halfway through the quest you have to kill three of them, and all i have is morrigan (mage) myself (elf mage), and alistair (warrior), it won't let me change my party either. I know ice is one of them, but i have very few ice spells, and they take my lyrinum quickly, and the dragons keep going to slay alistair then morrigan, its like they're doing it in order. Weakest to strongest, but then again, i'm only level 10- and apparently their high-level creatures, so do you know the quickest way of beating them? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.230.165.46 (talkcontribs) 18:03, December 29, 2013

I asked a wiki contributor with knowledge on the toolset and I'll soon have your answer :) Also please sign your posts by typing four tildes (~~~~) Viktoria Landers 16:26, December 29, 2013 (UTC)
sorry for intrude.i got notification because i follow this page
bestway is to get "taunt" ASAP for alistair and "force field" and then "cone of cold" for morrigan
when enemies try to overrun alistair or your weak companions just send alistair in middle of them, then make him use "taunt" all nearby enemies leave their current target and rush to overwhelm him then put "force field" on alistair, after that enemy attacks cause no damage to alistair then try to use "cone of cold" and other cold attack to kill them quick.also you can use electricity spells to deplete their stamina. - JH EP - Talk - Contribs 21:40, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

Another Rocky Edit

During the expedition to the deep roads we encounter a profane that is possessed by a hunger demon. I wonder if such unique creature does deserve own creature page. What do you think about it? By the way don't you think the legendary 7 dwarven brothers weren't 7 as a reference to a fairy tale?FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 22:27, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding the possessed profane, yes, if it has a unique name in-game. As for the dwarven legend, I think it's simply a reference to the caste system. Viktoria Landers 23:43, December 29, 2013 (UTC)
I made this page.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 09:54, January 3, 2014 (UTC)

Re: drake resistances Edit

Hey Viktoria,

They only have two passives - dragon properties and fire immunity. Since the first is just fire resistance and +5 armour, it looks like they should have fire immmunity and 0% to everything else. I'd want to throw a couple of spells at one to make sure first, though. Qesa (talk) 00:20, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your input! Viktoria Landers 01:04, December 30, 2013 (UTC)
