hi, i have question about the interpretation you've made before about the felan ( slow place ) or fade... can you please confirm it ? i've been looking everywhere for a word to replace beyond or fade with it so it can make some sense with elven lore... --Maxsc (talk) 07:52, June 5, 2016 (UTC)
Here is the link, sorry for delay, Just search your username
Ok, I found it:
Felandaris - Demon weed. http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Codex_entry:_Felandaris
I assume "felan" means "demon" and "daris" means weed. Splitting the word(s) up we have an "an" and a "da", meaning respectively "place" and "small". So "fel-place small-ris". "Felas" means slow. Felas + an = "felan"? - "slow place"? The Fade?
I'm afraid I cannot confirm it, it was just a suggestion I made. The elven word for "demon" and "the Fade" might be the same - "felas" - and "felas" in turn might be made up of "slow" + "place". We know time behaves differently in the Fade, and things changes depending on th dreamer's expectations. The elves were once immortal, so perhaps the elves knew they were in the Fade when things started to work really slowly around them?
