Hi, I noticed that you were having some issues with wikitext surrounding images earlier. I'm pretty sure you've got it sorted out by now, but just in case:

  • Infobox images:
Under images = type the filename with no markup, ie: |images = Alistair.jpg
Use a second line with |px = ###px to modify the size, if desired.
  • Gallery images:
Within the confines of <gallery> & </gallery>, type the filename with no markup. You can use | as a separation to add a caption, ie: Alistair.jpg | Alistair slaughters a darkspawn. Each image needs to be on a separate line.
  • For other uses (ie. within an article's main body):
You can use the [[File:filename.jpg]] format.

Here are some helpful links that I've referred to often: Help:Images and Help:Galleries and slideshows

Other than that, if you notice wikitext that seems out of place within an article, the culprit is usually unbalanced { } or [ ] brackets. Hope that helps, and please keep up the great work & quality edits that you've been contributing to the wiki! ──┤ 22px-5308644.png Eganogard talk ├── 18:42, October 28, 2012 (UTC)

That's really helpful - thank you so much for taking the time to post this! -Sophia (talk) 18:49, October 28, 2012 (UTC)

Hello

I've noticed that you do a pretty good job in following my edits and correcting the mistakes I make. Haha thank you! Viktoria Landers 20:47, December 6, 2012 (UTC)

Ooh - I wasn't deliberately following you or anything; I tend to click on the recently-edited articles that appear to the right of the page, and if I see a little typo or something, I do a little edit. :) I think our timezones must be similar! :) Thank you very much for your kind words. :) -Sophia (talk) 22:05, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
I guess you're from US, yes? Actually, I'm from the other side of the Atlantic :P By the way, feel free to join us in the DA wiki chat :) Viktoria Landers 23:12, December 12, 2012 (UTC)
I'm in the UK. :) And thank you very much for the invitation to join you in chat. I've been trying to work up the nerve to do so for a while. :) -Sophia (talk) 23:14, December 12, 2012 (UTC)
Haha, I was like this a year back :) Don't worry, I'm sure everyone in here has a very good opinion of you ;) Viktoria Landers 20:18, December 15, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Sophia, I noticed that you make good use of the toolset. Right now I am working on the Peasant Revolution page and I think I need some help from someone who is using a toolset. Interested? :) Viktoria Landers 03:14, December 25, 2012 (UTC)

Hi Viktoria! I definitely want to help, but I'm afraid I haven't played Awakening yet, and I'm trying to avoid spoilers for anything that happens in it. I'm very sorry. -Sophia (talk) 11:24, December 25, 2012 (UTC)
Wow I didn't expect that you haven't played DAA yet :P I guess I'll need to find another toolset member then. If you are playing on pcIcon pc, may I suggest some mods which can solve the 2-3 serious bugs of DAA? :) Viktoria Landers 12:12, December 25, 2012 (UTC)
I am a crazy person who has spent the past two years (!) trying to get the "perfect" playthrough of Origins, after playing through it completely just one time. Something always goes wrong, so I start again. Did I mention I was crazy? :) One day, I WILL play Awakening. One day... :D And yes, I would appreciate those mods. Thank you for the offer! I'll remember to ask you about them when I need them. If this site is still around. :D -Sophia (talk) 12:47, December 25, 2012 (UTC)
Haha, hopefully your OS will support Dragon Age II, when you finally move there too!
But don't worry, you are not alone :) I still haven't played a perfect playthrough the way I want it as well! Viktoria Landers 12:58, December 25, 2012 (UTC)

Happy New Year

Hey Sophia, I wish you Happy New Year with health and success :) Viktoria Landers 18:13, January 1, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you very much, Viktoria! :) A happy new year to you, too, and I hope 2013 brings you good things. :) -Sophia (talk) 19:46, January 1, 2013 (UTC)

Watch carefully before you accuse a wrong person.

I don't put inapproprite jokes, that's doing of that Infamouys troll Umbrella Corporation aka Jak Drecker aka Lord Rahl. Don't accuse me of anything, when I'm innocent.78.8.136.248 (talk) 11:01, January 4, 2013 (UTC) Just call me Dalish fan

LOL! -Sophia (talk) 12:36, January 4, 2013 (UTC)
That's all? You accussed a wrong person and "LOL" is everything you can say? You have no courage to admit it was your mistake.78.8.136.248 (talk) 13:33, January 4, 2013 (UTC)
Hello there,
I linked to something you posted in a forum thread, and reported to an Admin that it "feels very inappropriate". That isn't an accusation: it's flagging something that might not have been noticed that I thought was not good for the community. The Admins know best what to do about it, if anything.
There is no "mistake" for me to admit to.
As for "LOL!" -- that was my instinctive reaction to your attempt to bully me. Think of it as you having failed a check against your Intimidation.
If you're not the disingenuously wide-eyed 'Who, me?' troll that you appear to me to be, then I apologise for having judged you so poorly. Your refusal to own your words by creating an account so that your post history is viewable, works against you.
I have nothing more to say to you. -Sophia (talk) 22:36, January 9, 2013 (UTC)

Toolset enemy info.

Hi! I'm aware that you have the DAToolset installed and can operate it. Do you know if it can be used to display the enemy level-up code? If so, we can then have an optimal solution to the problem of humanoid enemies & their skills in DA:O: currently, any ability list for the enemies at certain location is only true for a particular level, as they seem to gain new skills every two-three levels. If you could please find and isolate that code, we could then put it into tables and create separate pages for the generic humanoid templates: dual-wielder, Weapon & Shield, Archer, two-hander, Champion leader, etc. and link all quest enemies to whatever template they fall under. The only exceptions would probably be for lore-important enemies like darkspawn.

Best regards. 4Ferelden (talk) 00:08, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

There is a script named core_difficulty_h that looks at the game's difficulty setting and combines that with a check on the rank of an enemy as compared with the rank of the player character, and autoscales combat damage and bonuses accordingly. I know that some enemies (but not all) have a maximum and minimum level range defined as part of their character file, but I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with scripts to be able to find out more than that. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. -Sophia (talk) 00:41, January 10, 2013 (UTC)

Sophia..?

Hey Sophia, I noticed that you removed the content of your profile and also your avatar. What happened? Are you leaving? :( Viktoria Landers 19:23, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Viktoria! :) No, not leaving. :) I just go through foot-in-mouth moments sometimes and want to hide away for a bit. Thank you for asking; that's very kind of you. :) -Sophia (talk) 11:43, January 27, 2013 (UTC)
Ah I see. Well, as always, you can find me in the IRC or the chat if you need to discuss anything :) Viktoria Landers 13:33, January 27, 2013 (UTC)

Orlesian French

I see that you put back the space in front of my paragraph in my thread "Orlesian French" after someone without an account removed it. Thank you, I guess XD. Although to be fair, I think that what that person was trying to do was simply cover up the fact that I shamelessly modified part of that paragraph to prevent the thread from disappearing in Wiki discussion oblivion for a bit longer, simply because I think that language is something that could play an important part in people's appreciation of the next game. (The "Last modified by TheodoricEichen" bit was painfully obvious, though.) Anyways, thank you for caring so much about the authenticity of what people actually post on this forum, and also for helping to cover up my horrible crime even more. (TWO people made modifications on that thread, now!) TheodoricEichen (talk) 23:17, February 4, 2013 (UTC)

Ha ha ha! :D Ah, the illicit bump. :) I'm not sure the person had caught on to your cunning plan, though. :D From their other edits, I get the impression that they're quite pedantic about little typos and things, which I can understand as I'm exactly the same! But, yes, my fight against the tweaking of other people's posts goes on! And thank you for making me laugh about it. :) -Sophia (talk) 23:27, February 4, 2013 (UTC)
My pleasure. And I'll be sure to return the favour, if that's ever necessary. (Sorry, but we're partners in crime now. No arguments, it's far too late to change that now.) TheodoricEichen (talk) 00:55, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

Congrats for your new hairstyle!

What the title says! I also hope you are doing great :D See you around! Viktoria Landers 00:41, February 5, 2013 (UTC)

I've been trying to find a nice short hairstyle for my character for ages. :D Female Hawke has one that I really like (the same style that Cassandra Pentaghast has), but the mods I've found that let us use it in Origins only have it available for Human characters, not Elves, sadly. This one is the nearest to what I'd really like that I've found, and I've used it in my latest attempt at a perfect playthrough. :D Thanks for noticing! I am doing okay, thank you - the comments from you and TheodoricEichen today have both been very cheering. :) I wish you all the best. :) -Sophia (talk) 01:06, February 5, 2013 (UTC)
Hey Sophy I am wondering if you can help me with that page. I am referring to the "Election Responces" paragraph. I suspect that Bandelor's responces about Harrowmont taking the lead in the election is bugged and perhaps it can be found in the toolset. Also if you can find any extra preconditions about when a dialog is generated, let me know. Thanks! Viktoria Landers 16:05, February 8, 2013 (UTC)

Steward Bandelor

Hi Viktoria!

Here is what I've found from the toolset.

The variable "Harrowmont Support" increases in value as the player completes tasks on Harrowmont's behalf:

  • Convincing Gwiddon to take part in the Proving in support of Harrowmont: + 1
  • Convincing Baizyl to take part in the Proving in support of Harrowmont: + 1
  • Winning the Proving as Harrowmont's Champion: + 1
  • Saying, "May the Assembly heed the ancestors and choose Harrowmont.": + 1
  • Killing Jarvia: + 3

This gives a maximum possible value of 7.

These are the responses that Steward Bandelor gives:

If Harrowmont Support 3 +
"Bhelen still has the edge, but after the latest Proving Harrowmont picked up a few more supporters."
If Harrowmont Support 6 +
"Bhelen's gained ground recently, but Harrowmont's recent announcements caused a real flurry. He's back in the running."
If Harrowmont Support 8 +
"After the preliminary voting, it looks like Harrowmont has a narrow edge, but Bhelen's been buying support right and left."

Note that last one requires 8. I'm not sure how that is possible. I can't find another option that increases the variable that high; not even obtaining the Crown from one of the Paragons. The value of 8 was perhaps cut out later. There is another reference to it: If Harrowmont is crowned, a value of "8 +" will lead him to gift the player with Endrin's Mace. A value of "5 +" means he gives the player his staff.

EDIT: Speaking to Orta in the Assembly Chamber after giving her the Ortan Records gives the option to ask her to support Harrowmont (if Paragon of Her Kind has not been completed). Choosing this option adds to Harrowmont's support, and accounts for the missing 1.

For completeness, here are the responses for the various values of the variable "Bhelen Support":

If Bhelen Support 6 +
"Harrowmont started to pull ahead, but Bhelen got a huge surge of support when he announced Jarvia's death."
If Bhelen Support 8 +
"Bhelen has a solid lead in the preliminary voting, but Harrowmont's trying to disqualify a number of his supporters."
If Helmi Done
"Well, Harrowmont's still holding his main supporters, but the whole Helmi House just turned against him."
If Dace Done
"Well, Harrowmont has many loyal supporters, but the whole Dace House just turned against him."
───────

Wow that's a lot of information I think I'll need to pass several information to other pages as well. I have a few ideas of where other points can be found:

  • Does Bhelen gain points if you independently fight in the Provings and dedicate your victory afterwards to him? What if you dedicate it to the Grey Wardens instead?
  • Any chance that the Exotic Methods quest enables an extra vote?
  • Persuading Anwer Dace to change his vote yields extra points?
  • What happens if you betray Bhelen or Harrowmont via Shifting Allegiances and Betrayed from Within?
Many thanks! Viktoria Landers 19:18, February 8, 2013 (UTC)
  • Dedicating your victory in the Proving to Bhelen gives "Bhelen Support" + 1. The option to do this dedication only seems available if you've accepted the First Task from Bhelen, meaning the game has set a flag that says you are supporting him. I couldn't see an option to dedicate the victory to the Grey Wardens.
  • There are two dialogue branches that involve giving Lord Dace 'evidence' that Harrowmont is dishonest. Following the "Vartag Gavorn gave me these promissory notes" branch doesn't increment the "Bhelen Support" variable at all. Following the "See for yourself. I brought these promissory notes" branch does increment it, depending on some persuasion checks:
  • "Will you tell your daughter not to vote for Lord Harrowmont?" - High persuasion required. If successful, "Bhelen Support + 3". Otherwise, "Bhelen Support + 1".
  • "I am at your service." - "Bhelen Support + 2".
  • "Perhaps you would return that favor?" - Medium persuasion required. If successful, "Bhelen Support + 2". Otherwise, "Bhelen Support + 1".
  • Finding evidence that Bhelen hired thugs to kill Trian gives "Harrowmont Support + 1". Planting evidence that Harrowmont had ties to the smugglers gives "Bhelen Support + 1".

I hope that's covered all the options! -Sophia (talk) 21:38, February 8, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for your help Sophia! I need to assemble the team and see what we can do about all this new information. But before that, I need your help with something else. When Harrowmont is crowned king, several proving fighters turned hostile when conversed including Vartag Gavorn in the Royal Palace. Can you check the conditions in which they do? I am certain it is not just when harrowmont becomes king, however the results that came up until now are conflicting on my side, that's why I need your toolset expertize :P Viktoria Landers 20:36, February 10, 2013 (UTC)

I love the idea of you assembling a team. :D I imagine you all piling out of a van, like The A-Team. :D
When Harrowmont is crowned king, a flag is set that indicates that the main Orzammar plot is over, and that Harrowmont is the king. The following characters become hostile the next time you click on them:
  • Myaja and Lucjan. It looks for the flag that indicates you fought in the Proving for Harrowmont.
  • Vartag Gavorn. There is a different dialogue line for if you were working for Bhelen and then betrayed him to if you worked for Harrowmont.
I can't find anyone else who becomes hostile, though, aside from generic Bhelen supporters. Is there a specific character I should look up? -Sophia (talk) 23:40, February 10, 2013 (UTC)
Haha, we are not so fancy but I'd love to have you with us. I dared not to ask before since you helped me already but also because you prefer a more.. independent approach :P but please think about it!
So for independent fighting in the proving or not fighting at all Myaja and Lucjan don't turn aggro. Piotin Aeducan also turns aggro, so I am wondering if the same conditions apply to him as well. Viktoria Landers 10:04, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
Piotin's script is slightly confusing. What it gives as the condition for him attacking is:
IF:ORZ_PROVING_BHELEN_LOSES_PC_FOUGHT_FOR_HARROW
which is HARROWMONT_KING [ORZ_END] or IF:ORZAMMAR_FAILED and IF:FIGHT_FOR_HARROWMONT [ORZ_PROVING]
I think what that means in practice is that if Harrowmont is king, Piotin will attack, regardless of whether the player fought in the Proving for Harrowmont or not. I looked around, but couldn't find under what conditions ORZAMMAR_FAILED would be set. It might be best to get some other opinions on this.
For Myaja and Lucjan, as far as I can see, that is indeed what happens.
There was another use for the Harrowmont Support variable, which is when Bhelen refuses to accept Harrowmont as king and attacks in the Assembly. Copying from the toolset:
The number of followers Bhelen has depends on the level of Harrowmont's support:
  • If Harrowmont Support +6, then -10, there should be just a small group of Bhelen supporters.
  • If Harrowmont Support +3, then -5, there is a sizable group.
  • If Harrowmont Support +0, then -2, almost everyone in the room is hostile.
Re your team, I'd love to help any way I can. The only reason I didn't sign up officially (for Project Aeducan, that is) is worry because I can't guarantee being able to check here every day, and not wanting to cause delays because of that. But if you have anything non-time-sensitive, please ask here and I'll get to it ASAP. -Sophia (talk) 11:33, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
That is totally okay, though in order to tell you all those things that I want to, I'd like to do it over a live chat (as that would buy us a lot of time). I am currently in the wiki's IRC chat, in case you like the idea as well :-) (the instructions on how to join in it in one the Project Aeducan's page) Viktoria Landers 23:07, February 11, 2013 (UTC)
Ah, I understand. I have entered the DA:Wiki chat, following the link from the Project Aeducan page. :) -Sophia (talk) 11:01, February 12, 2013 (UTC)

Hey

Hey Sophie, did you find any possible side-effects from Orzammar's voting system? We're in no hurry, I am just checking up :-) By the way, if you successfully persuade Ser Perth and Murdock about the upcoming battle, does this change anything? I always wondered about this thing however the articles do not mention it, as far as I know.
I also hope you're doing great, cheers! Viktoria Landers 11:44, February 17, 2013 (UTC)

How the militia's morale is affected:
Morale starts at 0.
  • If Murdock is convinced that victory is possible (either after equipping the militia and telling him "We're not only ready, Murdock. We're going to win." (high Persuasion required) or saying, "Have faith, good man. We will defeat this evil together." (medium Persuasion required): +1
  • Dwyn fighting: +1
  • Owen working: +1
  • Free drinks: +1
  • If Murdock is convinced that they will be defeated (by replying "That sounds likely" to his line, "Name's Murdock, mayor of what's left of the village--providing we aren't all killed and hauled off to the castle tonight." : -1
  • Dwyn dead: -1
  • Owen dead: -1
  • Owen's stash denied: -1
If the militia's morale is +2 or higher, it is considered to be High.
If it is -2 or lower, it is considered to be Low.
The knights' morale is supposed to increase by 1 if you give Ser Perth the holy amulets. (There was also originally an increase of 1 if Shale was activated and fighting in the party, but this was cut from the game.) The knights' morale is fixed at 0, however, whether the amulets are given to Ser Perth or not.
(I'm still working on the Orzammar flags; will let you know when I have the information.) -Sophia (talk) 23:32, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
Re possible side-effects of Orzammar's voting system: I've checked Kardol, the dwarves in Redcliffe castle during the climax, the random encounter with Orzammar rebels, and the epilogue. There are obvious differences stemming from who is king, but none that I can see that involve how much support either contender had. You may want to ask someone else to check, too, though: I don't know of a way of searching for particular variables across closed files, and so have to do it by hand; I've looked at the likely files, but there may be others that I haven't thought of. -Sophia (talk) 20:04, February 18, 2013 (UTC)
Hey Sophie, I got one more question! Can you check if the smuggled lyrium on Rogek is stealable or not? I have made some tests myself and I can't acquire it even with insane number of Cunning (among other things). If it is not stealable this will mean that the Option 4 on the respective quest is wrong all along. Viktoria Landers 17:56, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry - the smuggled lyrium doesn't show up in Rogek's inventory. I checked its item file, but it doesn't mention whether it's stealable or not. The only thing of Rogek's that is marked as either droppable or stealable is his money (which is marked as both). -Sophia (talk) 19:18, February 20, 2013 (UTC)
Edit: Specifically, it is 20DAO goldpiece trans that is marked as both stealable and droppable. -Sophia (talk) 19:38, February 20, 2013 (UTC)

Sophia!

Hey Sophie, I hope you are doing great! I happen to find myself in need of your toolset once more. The two Orzammar criers spout some lines about their employer once you get close to them. I tried to gather these lines but as this is random, chances are that I have missed some of them. Can you check via the toolset and find the lines that I have missed adding? Then you can either post them here or add them in the pages yourself. Thanks in advance! Viktoria Landers 14:30, March 12, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Viktoria! I should be able to do that, but it may be a little while; my laptop's hard disk is failing and I think the toolset is a bit beyond it at the moment. I have ordered a new laptop, but it will be a few days before it arrives. I'll be happy to look this up once I've got it set up, if you haven't found the information elsewhere by then. Wishing you all the best. -Sophia (talk) 16:01, March 12, 2013 (UTC)
I've edited the two pages with the information from the toolset. Please let me know if you need anything else. -Sophia (talk) 20:47, March 19, 2013 (UTC)
Many thanks Sophie! <3 Viktoria Landers 01:15, March 20, 2013 (UTC)

Le noticé

Sophié, please check a topic that I opened up in the Main Page. I'm pretty sure you'd be interested in replying. Thanks! Viktoria Landers 15:55, April 3, 2013 (UTC)

Verification

An anon keeps adding Roland as the first name of Ser Gilmore. I tried myself to validate that claim but I was unsuccessful. Can you perhaps checks the dialogs via the toolset? Source. Thanks! Viktoria Landers 15:48, April 15, 2013 (UTC)

I've looked through the dialogue files for all characters in the Human Noble origin story, as well as Ser Gilmore's character and creature files, and cannot find any reference to his first name (neither Roland nor Roderick). -Sophia (talk) 08:22, April 16, 2013 (UTC)
See here. "Roland" may be from a user-made mod, based on a comment by David Gaider. -Sophia (talk) 08:28, April 16, 2013 (UTC)
Many thanks, Sophie! I have restored the page to its previous state. Viktoria Landers 09:06, April 16, 2013 (UTC)

Hey there! Could you check if this edit is right? I have a feeling that it is likely caused from a third-party mod and thus being untrue. Viktoria Landers 10:23, April 27, 2013 (UTC)

The toolset shows that Trian carries Trian's Maul in his main weapon slot, but it is not flagged as either droppable or stealable. -Sophia (talk) 11:05, April 27, 2013 (UTC)
I reverted his edit. Many thanks for your help! Viktoria Landers 18:13, April 27, 2013 (UTC)

Janar

There is a chance that we might be able to uncover more lore and write another page. That was my message to LadyAeducan and that's her reply. Right now we cannot proceed based on the current information. However if there might be some cut dialog on Janar's or Dagna's dialog which can uncover some more things, it will be reverse the current stalemate. Would you like to check for cut dialog in the toolset?

Yours, Viktoria Landers 10:17, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

Hi, Viktoria. Sorry -- I checked all their dialogue, as well as every other file related to them in the toolset, and there is no indication that Janar is anything other than a first name. -Sophia (talk) 12:52, April 17, 2013 (UTC)
Alright, many thanks again! :-) Viktoria Landers 13:31, April 17, 2013 (UTC)

Maric in the Fade

That's cool. Did you get that out of the toolset? Could you post the actual description? Just trying to find out if there is any more information on the scene.-HD3 (talk) 09:26, May 1, 2013 (UTC)

Yes, it's from the toolset. There are a few scattered files, but it seems this plot was cut at an early stage, so there is only a little information available.

From cir300cr_maric.utc :
This is where the image came from. The head morph it uses is hm_cir364_maric.mor. It is defined as a Warrior, Human, and uses Weapon + Shield tactics. Its Inventory has only Noble Clothing in it.

From fademaric.chr :
This is the character file, and contains notes from the writers.
Age: 40
Description: Fade spirit in the form of the late King Maric. This spirit takes on Maric's form to torment Loghain. The imposter Maric is noble and jovial.
Phonetic Pronunciation: MAYRE'-ick
No voice actor was cast for him.

From cir300pt_fade_loghain.plo :
This contains plot variables for Loghain's Nightmare during the Broken Circle quest. The only further references to what happens are flags for LOGHAIN_DEMON_HOSTILE and LOGHAIN_DEMON_KILLED.
Journal entries:
Loghain is somewhere in the Fade.
You found Loghain, lost in a dream. You freed him but then lost him again. It's possible he's already left the Fade.

From zz_ss_fade_maric.dlg :
This is a template that all basic NPCs have, which gives a sense of their voice.
COMMENT : Dialogue
HELLO  : Greetings!
YES  : Yes! Of course!
NO  : Absolutely not.
STOP  : Stop, I say.
BORED  : Would you like to spar?
GOODBYE  : Farewell.
THANK YOU  : You have the king's thanks.
LAUGH  : (Laughs)
CUSS  : Calenhad's crown!
CHEER  : Wonderful!
SOMETHING TO SAY  : Listen to me.
GOOD IDEA  : Excellent idea.
BAD IDEA  : Ridiculous.
THREATEN  : I'll have you arrested.
FAILED STEALING ATTEMPT  : My, aren't you a little criminal. -Sophia (talk) 10:33, May 1, 2013 (UTC)
There was an earlier addition of Loghain's nightmare accompanied by a youtube video but King Cousland reverted it as it was a fan-made mod. Due to this precedent I have also undid your additions. If I am wrong and you're sure that it is not caused by a mod of yours, please restore the page to its previous state again. Thanks! Viktoria Landers 13:00, May 1, 2013 (UTC)
Sorry - I didn't see this before I posted to your talk page! Yes, this is definitely not from any mod. I've undone your undo - thank you for being vigilant! -Sophia (talk) 13:11, May 1, 2013 (UTC)
Ah okay :-) In case you're interested to see the addition I was referring to in my previous message, see here and here. See you around Sophie! Viktoria Landers 13:18, May 1, 2013 (UTC)
Oh, that's interesting. There is a mention of a young Cailan in the toolset, with the description, "Fade spirit who has taken the form of the young King Cailan in order to torture Loghain. The young Cailan is enthusiastic and cheerful." There is a zz_ss_fade_cailan.dlg file for him (the basic NPC template that gives their 'voice'), but that seems to be as far as the DA writers took it. I'm guessing the modders used this as their inspiration. -Sophia (talk) 13:35, May 1, 2013 (UTC)

Psst!

(whispers) Hey Sophie! I do not wish to startle you but I need your help to find the Item ID code of Leg-Crusher. Can you please help me? :-) Viktoria Landers 15:12, June 15, 2013 (UTC)

I'm not sure if this will be of help: I think it is one of these:
gen_im_cweapon_high_drn_lit.uti
gxa_im_wep_mel_mal_001.uti
gxa_im_wep_mel_mal_002.uti
gxa_im_wep_mel_mal_drk.uti
trp200im_wep_mel_mal.uti
I haven't opened Awakening files before, and after looking around the web for instructions, I found a list of items. Opening the files doesn't show me a name for them, however. The names above are my best guesses for what the IDs might be. Are you able to import them into your game and check them? -Sophia (talk) 17:11, June 15, 2013 (UTC)
Many thanks, Sophie! Hopefully we'll see your wonderful avatar again! ;-) Viktoria Landers 17:46, June 15, 2013 (UTC)

Trian's Maul

Hi Sophia, Viktoria said you would be the person to ask about the acquisition conditions for Trian's Maul and possibly Harrowmont's Staff as well. I know the conditions are wrong from personal experience but i don't have the skills to check the right ones. Would you be able to help please? -HD3 (talk) 16:45, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Hi HD3! If you scroll upwards on my talk page, you should see a heading called "Steward Bandelor". Everything I could get from the toolset about the conditions for obtaining Trian's Maul and Harrowmont's Staff is there. I saw that your personal in-game experience did not fit with what I posted. I'm afraid I'm not sure what else I can do, except suggest that someone else with the PC version download the toolset and see if they can uncover something I missed. -Sophia (talk) 21:20, July 21, 2013 (UTC)

Actually looking back, I think i may have chosen the wrong options and not gained enough support from Lord Dace to gain Trian's Maul. Would you possibly be able to double check the support values required to obtain Trian's Maul in comparison to the Aeducan Mace Sophia? Please and thank you. -HD3 Sig 07:09, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Whoops - I realised that the "Steward Bandelor" section above was about Endrin's Mace, not Trian's Maul. Sorry about that! Here's what I could find out:
There is a variable called BHELEN_SUPPORT. If the condition BHELEN_SUPPORT 5+ is true, then the dialogue option, "Since you did more than I expected, I offer a personal reward as well." appears. You then get three possibilities for the next line:
  • If BHELEN_SUPPORT 8+, you get the line, "This is an ancient mace of House Aeducan. It's said to be enchanted against darkspawn. I think you need it more than I do." The player is awarded the Aeducan Mace.
  • If the player is the Dwarf Noble, you get, "You may recognize this. Trian used it to crack skulls when he was showing off for Father. I'm sure he'd want you to have it." The player receives Trian's Maul.
  • If BHELEN_SUPPORT 5+, you get the line, "This was a maul favored by my brother Trian. Take it with you as a reminder of your ties to Orzammar." The player receives Trian's Maul.
This is what affects the BHELEN_SUPPORT variable:
After showing Lord Anwer Dace the promissory notes and hearing the dialogue, "Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I owe you twice now, my life and my house's fortune." :
  • Passing a (3+) Persuasion check when asking if Lord Dace will tell his daughter not to vote for Harrowmont: SET BHELEN_SUPPORT +3
  • Failing this Persuasion check: SET BHELEN_SUPPORT +1
  • Choosing the dialogue option, "I am at your service." : SET BHELEN_SUPPORT +2
  • Passing a (2+) Persuasion check when asking if Lord Dace will return the favor: SET BHELEN_SUPPORT +2
  • Failing this Persuasion check: SET BHELEN_SUPPORT +1
(Choosing the option, "Vartag Gavorn gave me these promissory notes." appears to have no effect on the variable.)
The toolset doesn't have Lord Helmi's dialogue for some reason, but the plot script indicates that succeeding at his part of the plot quest has the effect: SET BHELEN_SUPPORT +1
Killing Jarvia: SET BHELEN_SUPPORT +3
As you can see, the highest possible total for BHELEN_SUPPORT seems to be 7. I can't see any reference to it being added to anywhere else, so I'm not sure how the condition for receiving the Aeducan Mace is reached. Perhaps it happens when Bhelen is crowned?
I hope this is of some help. Hopefully, someone else can use the toolset to verify this, and find the things I haven't been able to. -Sophia (talk) 13:03, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
Oh so the Aeducan Mace is the higher value reward than Trian's Maul?-HD3 Sig 13:15, November 3, 2013 (UTC)
Yup. Weird, isn't it? -Sophia (talk) 13:24, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing!

I wanted to thank you for correcting my mistake using the toolset, and apologize for adding bad info. Many thanks, and sorry about that. 72.196.14.33 (talk) 19:15, October 14, 2013 (UTC)

Hey. :) Don't worry about it. :) I was just thinking that one possibility for it looking like only one rank in Survival is needed is if that's what your Warden has: as the game looks at all the members of your current party, if you hadn't seen that one of them had two ranks, it would be an understandable conclusion to reach. -Sophia (talk) 19:24, October 14, 2013 (UTC)

Ostagar characters

Hey Sophie, I hope you've been doing great! I'm trying to find the voice actors of the temporary companions at Ostagar named Circle Mage and Soldier however when I search for the "Ostagar" term in the page, I find multiple results. I am wondering if with the help of the toolset, you could find their names. Furthermore at the War council, if you noticed, Grand Cleric Elemena is present, yet her title is "Revered Mother". I'd like to know your opinion about whether to consider that character as Elemena or as a random Revered Mother. Thanks! Viktoria Landers 08:43, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Viktoria! I'm okay, thanks, and I hope you are, too! The Soldier is played by Josh Cohen. I'm afraid I can't find the voice actor for the Circle Mage. In the toolset, characters are referred to by their role, and then by a specific name. For example, "cleric (Priest)", or "elf_servant_female (Servant)". The Revered Mother in Ostagar is referred to as "grand_cleric (Revered Mother)". At the Landsmeet, she is referred to as "elemena (Grand Cleric Elemena)". The Landsmeet Elemena actually has a different head morph to the Revered Mother at Ostagar, as well as a different age (75 as opposed to the Revered Mother's 40) and a different voice actress (Carolyn Seymour at the Landsmeet; Susan Boyd Joyce at Ostagar), as well as other differences. I can't remember if it's specified that Elemena was the Revered Mother at Ostagar, but the toolset suggests that they are different people. -Sophia (talk) 12:30, October 30, 2013 (UTC)
Many thanks Sophia, you've been very helpful, as always! Viktoria Landers 15:43, October 30, 2013 (UTC)

Just wanted to say

Thank you for the kind words. It meant a lot to me. :) 72.196.14.33 (talk) 20:14, November 2, 2013 (UTC)

Darkspawn Chronicles armor set

Hey Sophia! user:Viktoria Landers mentioned that you might be able to help me with this. In The Darkspawn Chronicles there is an armor set for the Darkspawn Plate Armor and Darkspawn Plate Boots. I'm having difficulty figuring out what the stats would be for the armor set (armor and fatigue values and number bonuses of constitution and defense.) If you have the DLC would you be able to figure out the numbers using the tool set? Kelcat (talk) 01:29, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Golems of Amgarrak

Hello Sophia. I was wondering, there are several variants of Golems in the Golems of Amgarrak called "Enraged Sentinel" and "Enraged Watcher". The Sentinels are Boss ranks and the Watchers are Elite I believe but I was wondering if you could ascertain any additional information on the differences between them and standard Sentinel and Watcher Golems with the toolkit.-HD3 Sig 05:54, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

For Kelcat and HD3

I'm very sorry, but I don't know how to access the files for any of the DLC using the toolset. I've hunted around on the web and what instructions I could find, I couldn't get to work. I hope you can find someone a bit more savvy to get you the information you need. -Sophia (talk) 11:23, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

Ah, that's too bad. Thanks anyway! Kelcat (talk) 22:29, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

A question

I'm gonna reply here, as I have a question in which I need your help with. Firstly, about the images I was not aware that such conclusion was reached by the community and I'm sorry for that. However I should mention that is in my opinion a very bad decision, as in the case of the image you replaced, the previous image's quality was superior to the new one. To be more precise, the previous image only pictured the sword in question, with no backgrounds, Wardens, weird angles or image shapes that interfere and downgrade the overall quality of the image.

In that case, I think I will add my screenshot as the main image, and move the existing image into a gallery. My view is that the 'style 3' in-game screenshots show the weapons as every player sees them, and with enough detail to appreciate the artwork that went into them. They're also easy for any PC player to obtain and upload, and so allow them to easily contribute to the Wiki. I do understand your point about the angles in it. The existing 'style 6' image, while very professional, is small, and difficult to mentally identify with the in-game weapon, for me, anyway. The lack of a sense of scale is one of the big problems with it. I won't do this if you object, however. -Sophia (talk) 14:59, November 6, 2013 (UTC)
I share your view about having both images, so I added yours back to the article. I've refrained from adding it as the main image, due to the discussion I opened in the forums. Cheers! Viktoria Landers 12:49, November 7, 2013 (UTC)
I was going to suggest adding mine to the gallery as an alternative, but guessed you'd reach that conclusion yourself. :) Thanks! -Sophia (talk) 13:05, November 7, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding my question, it is stated that Vaughan "can even be released in exchange for his support in the Landsmeet, whether or not he bribes the Warden". I tried to replicate it myself by using the console commands but it does not seem to work. Could you verify whether this line is correct via the toolset or not? Viktoria Landers 13:57, November 6, 2013 (UTC)

I think that line is incorrect, in that all the dialogue options, for any origin, only allow for either asking for his voice in the Landsmeet, or for money, but never both. -Sophia (talk) 14:50, November 6, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for you help! I'll correct the article accordingly. Viktoria Landers 12:49, November 7, 2013 (UTC)

Until We Sleep

Hey there! You've got a really cute avatar Smiley I would like to ask you if you can access the comic Until We Sleep. If that is so, I have a little idea about it.

Sorry for not sending it earlier, but we had a situation with JH EP earlier today which took some of my available hours. Viktoria Landers 16:34, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you. :) I was out all day, and am only now at my computer, so it's no problem. :) I'm afraid I don't have any of the comics. For future reference, all I have is Origins (Ultimate Edition on PC) and the three novels. (WoT and DA II are on my wish list, but I can't say when I might have them). -Sophia (talk) 17:45, November 16, 2013 (UTC)
Too bad. You should get them since I you're a big fan as well! Anyway, please check this talk section. There seems to be more things going on than we know and you have the tools to uncover that. But instead of just providing the info like you did in the past, I'd like to ask you if you are interested in inserting your findings in the pages afterwards. Viktoria Landers 22:43, November 16, 2013 (UTC)
I intend to, as soon as I can. :) And yes, I'll certainly look and add that information to the article. -Sophia (talk) 23:43, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Rollback rights

Hello! Viktoria has brought this to my attention, and I've seen you've been doing your fair share of reverting vandalism. Are you interested in obtaining the rollback tool to do it more efficiently? It would simply give you a one-click link to undo so you do not have to fill a reason to revert, although you will need to undo it through the history page for a legit edit that needs to be undone. Tell me if you want it! ··· D-day sig d·day! 19:59, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

If it's okay, I'd prefer to continue to undo any vandalism in the way that I have been. I'm not confident with the Wiki, and I'm afraid that I'd mess up something using a tool. Thank you for the offer! -Sophia (talk) 23:43, November 16, 2013 (UTC)
Are you sure Sophia? The rollback tool is quite simple and easy-to-use. Check this image. The [rollback] word is shown on the last edit of each page. Clicking on it does what it describes (see the white bracket). I have recommended you on D-day because you are both an experienced editor and frequently check the edits of other users. Viktoria Landers 00:02, November 17, 2013 (UTC)
Thank you, but yes, I'm sure. That image actually makes me panic - I believe you that it's simple, but I just don't understand, and I'd prefer to continue using the method I'm familiar with. (Sorry; I'm just very slow to grasp things.) -Sophia (talk) 15:26, November 17, 2013 (UTC)

Love Letters

Hey Sophie! I have tried to find the item ID codes of the Love Letters, but I couldn't. Can you perhaps find it via the toolset? Thanks! Viktoria Landers 11:40, November 19, 2013 (UTC)

Hi! Individually, they are lite_rogue_letter_1 to lite_rogue_letter_12. The stackable plot item is lite_rogue_letter. -Sophia (talk) 15:17, November 19, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks again! Viktoria Landers 00:30, November 20, 2013 (UTC)

Orzammar crier

Sophie, you've just added a confirm tag on a line which you had inserted at March 19. So what happened? Viktoria Landers 18:15, November 23, 2013 (UTC)

I just noticed that I'd posted on the article's talk page that confirmation was needed for those lines, but hadn't made it clear in the article itself. I added the tag so the lines that needed confirming were clearly indicated, as well as just making sure they were marked as unconfirmed for anyone who didn't look at the talk page. -Sophia (talk) 18:44, November 23, 2013 (UTC)
I've made a few tweeks. Viktoria Landers 10:54, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Owain

I saw you just edited Oeain. I know tranquil aren't immune for demonic possession, but that was revelated in DA:Asunder, not Origin. I think this fact shouldn't be mentioned on Owain's page. I suggest to change it on something like "As tranquil Owain is believed to be immune on demon possession".FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 15:30, November 24, 2013 (UTC)

Project: Epilogue

Hello there Smiley I hope you are doing well and good. There is an important section of the wiki which lacks clarity and major details. That is the Epilogue (Origins) (and Epilogue (Awakening)) pages. Much like The Peasant Revolution which before I shaped it up was in a really bad state with many inaccuracies and wrong claims, this section is in a similar fashion. So I'm wondering if you are interested in working on it. Viktoria Landers 11:08, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

I'm fine, thank you. :) And thank you for editing the Imrek article. :) I can work on the Epilogue (Origins) article, but as I haven't played Awakening yet, and can't access its files using the toolset, my edits on the Epilogue (Awakening) article would be limited to non-factual ones. Is there a particular way you want the work done, or should I use The Peasant Revolution as a guide? -Sophia (talk) 11:16, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
No, no. The Epilogue (Awakening) was a similar case, but as I know you cannot use your toolset there, I didn't include it in my request (even though it also needs work). As for the Peasant Revolution, I just used it as an example since multiple flags can change the outcome and at the same time multiple editors making a single walkthrough can easily reach in very inaccurate results. And this example was used on the Epilogue pages to depict why they include many inaccuracies and missing info. Viktoria Landers 11:29, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
I've been working on the Epilogue (Origins) article offline. I was wondering if you had any objection to splitting the existing page into two: one dealing with the coronation, the funeral, and the post-coronation, and the other dealing solely with the epilogue slideshow (where I would give the text of the slides). As the slideshow is so large and has many branches depending on choices made throughout the game, it would be easier to have it as a main article rather than be a section of another. -Sophia (talk) 21:38, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
That would create issues as many pages link to the Epilogue and some of them deal with the parts which you want to keep and the others with the parts which you want to separate. So as this would involve quite a bit of extra work, we could see how it goes in a sandbox ([[User:-Sophia/Sandbox]]) in order to determine if such separation is demanded or not. I think I've made something similar with the Crime Wave quest when you asked to see my work. Viktoria Landers 21:46, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
I'm happy to test it in a sandbox. I'm afraid I don't know anything about setting up and working with sandboxes, though. I remember trying to find information on it before, along with help on setting up a talk archive, but failed. Do you happen to have a link to (very simple!) instructions for doing this? -Sophia (talk) 21:56, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
You just open a new page which uses your username as a basis: eg. User:-Sophia/Sandbox 1, then click "create" and you can start editing that page to your liking. When you don't need the content anymore, just remove everything from that page. It's your personal sandbox, and personally I prefer to call it my personal playground :D Viktoria Landers 22:11, November 26, 2013 (UTC)
Yay, thank you! :) -Sophia (talk) 22:45, November 26, 2013 (UTC)

Update

By the way I just noticed you posted Shale's epilogue information. In fact that information wasn't even recorded to the pages and unknown to me at least. And thus I became more excited about the Epilogue: Project... so how is it going? :) Viktoria Landers 00:10, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

There are some things I need to check, as listed at the top of the pages here and here. I am currently half-way through a playthrough, so it will be a little while before I can reach the Epilogue to check things myself. (I know that it is possible to jump to it and use a debugger, but this is an attempt at a 'perfect' playthrough, and I don't want to risk corrupting something or unlocking an achievement too early (I'm quite obsessive about that!) by playing around with choices at this point.) The information on those Sandbox pages is correct, as far as I know (apart from the to-be-checked parts noted at the top), so if you want, I can transfer the information now, and put the "confirmation needed" tag where appropriate. I would prefer to wait until I can check everything, particularly the exact choices given in the post-coronation ceremony, though! -Sophia (talk) 00:28, December 30, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for your responce. I can't wait for the final version! By the way, might I provide an idea for your new avatar? Just two words... "pimp hat"! Viktoria Landers 00:36, December 30, 2013 (UTC)
HAHAHAHAHA! :D -Sophia (talk) 00:37, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

Update #2

Hey there! I made a small intrusion in your sandbox and fixed/added a few things. I hope you don't mind! Viktoria Landers 01:07, January 15, 2014 (UTC)

Hi Viktoria! Thanks for those corrections to the links. One thing - with things like, "Rica's son will have a clan of his own one day", I went by the exact dialogue given by the characters, rather than making any assumptions about what they meant. Changing that to, "Rica's son will lead House Aeducan one day" isn't a big assumption, I know, but for the sake of preciseness, how do you feel about sticking with the exact wording used? -Sophia (talk) 07:58, January 15, 2014 (UTC)
The thing is, that's no assumption.
We know in two different occassions that Bhelen's son, Endrin, is the heir to the House Aeducan and just because the House is not called by its name in that particular conversation it does not mean it's an assumption. Viktoria Landers 08:24, January 15, 2014 (UTC)
I've changed the wording back for now, because that section as it stands relates only what the characters spoken to at the funeral (or post-coronation ceremony) specifically say. Rica doesn't mention House Aeducan to Fereldan's ruler. I'm in two minds about using the terms "manservant" or "second" for Gorim, as he doesn't mention either at that point in the conversation, only saying the "take up my old position" part. That's the only term in the article that isn't verbatim, and I might remove it for the sake of consistency. (On a related note, I noticed that it isn't mentioned in the Gorim Saelac article that he is the Dwarf Noble's manservant. He confirms at the start of the post-coronation ceremony dialogue that he was one, and the toolset says explicitly that it is the 'manservant' position he is referring to later, although I know the toolset is not to be considered canon.) -Sophia (talk) 10:35, January 15, 2014 (UTC)
Alright. I think we don't need to argue over such issues right now, the important thing is for the project to be completed and posted so if there are any objections (which do not have to do with the project itself) can be discussed then. Viktoria Landers 14:09, January 15, 2014 (UTC)
I hope we won't need to argue about it at all; I hate arguing! :) As for the project, there is an issue that you, or someone else, might be able to help with. The toolset doesn't show any epilogue slides for a Warden who becomes Alistair's mistress. I've looked around on YouTube and the internet, but haven't found any screenshots to get the information from, either. I think I can use the debugger to harden Alistair and then jump to and play the Landsmeet, but it will be a while yet until I can do that. Specifically, what's missing is the exact wording of all the different slides that mention that the Warden becomes Alistair's mistress, including any variations due to the Warden also being Chancellor, or whether they remain in Denerim or not, for example. -Sophia (talk) 17:46, January 15, 2014 (UTC)

Quick toolset check

Hey Sophie! I hope you're doing great! I need your help for a quick toolset check. There is no dialogue option to pay Roggar's extortion, yes? I remembered that you could, but after a recent check, this option doesn't show up. Thanks in advance! Viktoria Landers 12:19, December 9, 2013 (UTC)

It is there. The dialogue option is, "Here's the money. Now leave us alone." It only appears if the party has at least 10 DAO goldpiece trans, however. -Sophia (talk) 12:23, December 9, 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! By the way, that's weird. I teleported via console to the first task, completed it, received the second task, but I didn't have that option even if I had 15 gold... Viktoria Landers 12:54, December 9, 2013 (UTC)
Possible bug? For reference, after this line: "So if you want the carta's guarantee of safety, it's yours for the reasonable price of ten gold sovereigns. Or I can't say what might happen." there are several options, three of which allow you to pay:
  • "Take a good look. Do you really want to start this?" (Except for Dwarf Commoner) -- fight ensues.
  • "Don't you know who I am?" (Dwarf Commoner only) -- Roggar leaves if an intimidation check is passed, otherwise a fight ensues.
  • "The carta?" -- All dialogue branches from this option allow you to pay.
  • "Did you say <emp>Jarvia</emp> is running the carta?" (Dwarf Commoner only) -- Roggar leaves.
  • "That sounded like a threat." -- payment possible.
  • "I'll risk it." -- fight ensues.
  • "Here's the money. Now leave us alone." -Sophia (talk) 13:16, December 9, 2013 (UTC)

Drakes

Hey there! Could you make a quick check on the elemental resistances of drakes? An anon has asked me about it. Viktoria Landers 16:19, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry, Viktoria. I've looked around, but can't find where that information is given. You might want to ask Qesa, who I think knows about the toolset and extracting information from the scripts. -Sophia (talk) 17:02, December 29, 2013 (UTC)
No problem :) Thanks anyway! Viktoria Landers 17:21, December 29, 2013 (UTC)

Wiki status

Hey there! Yeah wiki uploads are down for maintainance. Page and image loading is also very slow. Let's hope it will be restored the next few hours. By the way it's good to see you coming from the chat, even if it was for some minutes :) Viktoria Landers 17:32, December 10, 2013 (UTC)

Thank you, Viktoria. :) -Sophia (talk) 18:27, December 10, 2013 (UTC)

Branka image

Hey there! The pre-existing image of Branka was also from a cutscene, so I was wondering why you replaced it with an image which has some other issues. Cheers! Viktoria Landers 20:21, December 22, 2013 (UTC)

I only meant to update from the existing .jpg to a better quality .png format. I can see that the image I uploaded has some effect visible, and I was wondering just now if that was a problem. Branka has some ability active when you first encounter her, although it perhaps becomes less obvious as the cutscene goes on. I can swap the image for one where the effect isn't so prominent, or undo the change to the article, as you prefer. -Sophia (talk) 20:25, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
I do indeed prefer the .png format. But as you mentioned the effect is visible which lowers the overall quality. Furthermore, I think we should aim in getting one with Branka's mouth shut. Viktoria Landers 20:30, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
I'll undo the change in the article and try to get a better image where the effect isn't so obvious. I have several screenshots, but none where the effect isn't visible at all - I'm not sure if it's possible without using a mod that hides effects. But perhaps that can be circumvented by using an image from a later point where the effect isn't active. Re the mouth shut, is that your personal preference? I find images with an expression much more interesting, and just as true to the characters as a neutral pose when they come from a line in a cutscene that all players will always experience. (I will try to get one with her mouth closed, though.) -Sophia (talk) 20:41, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
I've uploaded a new version of the image, which managed to be timed when the effect was at a minimum and Branka's mouth was closed. If it's not good enough, I'll leave the article as it was, as I don't think I can get a better screenshot than this one! Hopefully someone else will be able to get a better image. :) -Sophia (talk) 21:00, December 22, 2013 (UTC)
The mouth being closed is a style followed in most pages in this wiki, as well as preferred in the wikipedia (provided that they own such an image). As for your new upload, Branka looks downwards which is a bit weird. In general, cropping the image so more of her face/body is shown and less of the surrounding is also smth which I personally prefer due to the transformers' allowing only a specific image resolution. More opinions needed

Merry Christmas! It would be helpful if you voice your opinion in Dragon Age Wiki talk:Naming conventions as the subject is currently contested and stalled. Thanks! Viktoria Landers 09:27, December 25, 2013 (UTC)

Epilogue Bug

I am pretty sure I had all current patches. StillAlive (talk) 01:40, January 21, 2014 (UTC)

Epilogue Stuff

Hey Sophia! Going to try to do a little work on the epilogues this weekend, I think I can find a save where the Warden is Alistair's mistress (might have to do from the Landsmeet onwards to verify, but that doesn't take long). For this info on your to-do list: The exact wording of the slides where the Hero is King Alistair's mistress. Are there particular slides that you think would be affected by this? --Kelcat (talk) 18:18, January 24, 2014 (UTC)

Oh, also, do you have any clue what might make soris the bann? I'm assuming it would require a City Elf playthrough, but I can't think of what choices might lead to Soris rather than Shianni being bann. --Kelcat (talk) 18:24, January 24, 2014 (UTC)

Thank you for this! Re the mistress, the specific slides that should be affected are the first ones that show up, relating to the Denerim Throne Room. I think the slides say something along the lines of Anora being uncomfortable with the mistress-Hero's presence if she and Alistair are married. The choices that might affect these particular mistress slides are whether the Hero chooses as their boon to become Chancellor, and whether they choose to remain in Denerim, go off adventuring, or return to the Wardens. If you could try the various combinations of those, that would be perfect. For comparison, the possible slides for that section for every other option are here.
Re Soris becoming bann, I think the only time it can happen is if the Hero has the City Elf origin. That gives you the option to ask for the city elves to be treated better as your boon. At that point, the ruler offers you the position of bann. I think that you can suggest that Soris become the bann, but it's been so long since I played that conversation that I can't remember if it was there or not. The epilogue slides show it as a possibility, but that might have been cut from the game, or not be present due to a bug. (I definitely remember being able to suggest Shianni.) I think it was also possible to not name anyone in particular for the role. Could you check what the options given to the City Elf at that point are?
I've combined the two Sandbox files into one, although they can be made separate again if people would prefer that. If you are able to check the boons and Future plans sections to see if any options have been missed out, or the wording of them is incorrect, that would be very helpful.
Thank you, again, for taking a look at this. -Sophia (talk) 19:06, January 24, 2014 (UTC)
Okay, I added the exact wording of the boons to the top of the Sandbox2. It was my playthrough with a female mage with Alistair sacrificing himself and Anora becoming queen (this was my experimental playthrough where I didn't add any coercion points and Alistair refused to do the ritual with Morrigan :D).
There seems to be no effect on the Warden saying they'll have to think about what they want for the boon. Anora doesn't mention it when you speak to her after the ceremony is over. Kelcat (talk) 02:09, January 26, 2014 (UTC)
Thank you very much! I'll add that exact wording to the article. I'm interested in the fact that Eamon isn't there, as you should be able to talk to him. Can you confirm that he isn't present anywhere in the room? If he isn't there, then that sounds like a bug. If, when you have time, you're able to look at other variations (e.g. with Alistair alive) so we can narrow down when he is there and when he isn't, I'll add that information, too. Just to check: you're playing on the xBox360, with the latest patch, is that right? -Sophia (talk) 11:44, January 26, 2014 (UTC)
Eamon definitely wasn't anywhere else in the room. I made a couple passes around the room and used the radial menu to highlight names with no luck. This playthrough is on the Xbox but I do have it for the PC as well. I have fewer save files for Origins than I thought as the Xbox only allows 10 character files and each DLC and expansion takes up one of those slots. I went back a few hours on this playthrough and romanced Alistair (thank goodness for Feastday Gifts) and will persuade him to do the ritual with Morrigan. Not sure if I should make him king or let Anora rule alone. I don't remember if he or Eamon are present if Anora rules alone so I might check out that route. Kelcat (talk) 19:36, January 27, 2014 (UTC)
This is what I have for Eamon at the post-coronation ceremony. If Anora is the sole ruler, he should be there to talk to. He will say, "Myself, I will be returning to Redcliffe. There is much to rebuild there... and Anora certainly has no need of me." as part of the conversation. Alistair should be there, too. As you've done the variation where Alistair is dead and you're planning on doing the ritual, it's up to you whether you'd like to make him king or not. Ideally, both options would need to be checked so all bases are covered for this Eamon bug. In my own game, I'm planning to do the ritual but not make Alistair king, so that option at least will be checked eventually! -Sophia (talk) 21:25, January 27, 2014 (UTC)

Epilogue release

Hey Sophie! How are you doing?

I think you should go ahead and publish the Epilogue stuff from your sandbox. Any remaining checks that should be made, they can still be made while your work is on mainspace. That is because I think we're doing a disservice keeping your work hidden for so long. What do you think? Viktoria Landers 02:27, February 25, 2014 (UTC)

Hi Viktoria! I hope you are well. Okay, I will do that, and thank you for your kind words. -Sophia (talk) 07:47, February 25, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I am pretty good Smiley By the way, could you check with the toolset the exact inventory of Sandal (in Witch Hunt), Armaas (in Awakening) in case they sell specializations (tomes) which are not listed because the players have already unlocked them? Also it is stated that the Quartermaster in the Circle tower sells the Spirit Healer spec. Can you verify that too? Unfortunately I unlock all the specializations in the start of my game so I cannot verify it myself. Viktoria Landers 13:33, February 25, 2014 (UTC)
Edit: Regarding the Quartermaster, I checked it myself (just had the idea to check his wares in the Prima guide). Viktoria Landers 15:22, February 25, 2014 (UTC)
I'm sorry, Viktoria. I don't know how to use the toolset to look at anything from any of the DLCs; only things from the main game. -Sophia (talk) 17:33, February 25, 2014 (UTC)

NPC stats

Hey! Do you know if there's an easy way to get stats for specific bosses? Specifically Rendon Howe and Uldred. I'm looking to make strategy pages for both of them but I can't figure out how to figure out their hit points, etc. I've played around with the console and have been able to add Rendon to my party at Castle Cousland, but he starts at level 1, so that's no help. Kelcat (talk) 01:03, March 26, 2014 (UTC)

Hi Kelcat! I'm afraid I don't know. I looked through the toolset, and saw that there were two versions of Arl Howe: bhn100cr_arl_howe for the HN origin story, and den511cr_howe for the Landsmeet. I'm guessing the former is always at level 1. If you can use the console to add the latter version to your party, that might give you more information. -Sophia (talk) 11:40, March 26, 2014 (UTC)
For Uldred: pre100cr_uldred at the King's Camp; cir240cr_uldred_human when still in human form during Broken Circle, and cir240cr_uldred in Pride Demon form. -Sophia (talk) 11:43, March 26, 2014 (UTC)
Dang, I was hoping there might be some sort of file with stats. Looks like the Landsmeet Howe can't be added until I actually encounter him in Rescue the Queen so I'll give it a try then. Thanks for looking into it! --Kelcat (talk) 04:17, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Rogek's class

Hey Sophie, how are you doing? Smiley I was wondering if you could find Rogek's class via the toolset. While fighting him, he only uses archery skills so I couldn't identify his class. Viktoria Landers 16:15, April 14, 2014 (UTC)

Hi Viktoria! I'm fine, and I hope you are, too. Rogek is a Warrior. -Sophia (talk) 10:45, April 15, 2014 (UTC)
Many thanks Sophie :) Viktoria Landers 11:00, April 15, 2014 (UTC)

Grand Cleric Elemena

Hello -Sophia! was hoping you could settle a bet and check to see if the chantry member who snipes at Uldred during the war meeting before Ostagar is Grand Cleric Elemena or just some other revered mother in the data for DA:O. -HD3 Sig 00:49, September 24, 2014 (UTC)

Hi HD3! They are not the same character, according to the toolset. "Revered Mother" is at Ostagar, and "Grand Cleric Elemena" is at the Landsmeet. They have different head morphs, resource names, and tags. -Sophia (talk) 12:00, September 24, 2014 (UTC)
Guess I was wrong then, thanks for your help Sophia.

-HD3 Sig 12:07, September 24, 2014 (UTC)

Mysterious Codex Entry

Hi -sophia, I was hoping you could check the data and tell us if Codex entry: Kristoff's Note is unobtainable in awakening or if it is where we find it. Because I've looked everywhere I can think it could potentially be and can't find it. Thank you! -HD3 Sig 07:46, October 2, 2014 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I don't know how to access anything from Awakening or from any of the DLC, except for some of Shale's dialogue. -Sophia (talk) 12:11, October 2, 2014 (UTC)
