Character Experiments 1: Anthony. (MAIN) Background.

How would I describe myself? A mess. Yes, that would be correct... a mess. Ever since I survived the Blight my life has been nothing but a bloody mess. Not only do I have the Templars breathing down my neck, but I also have the Grey Wardens wanting my head on a stick...thinking that I am nothing more than some Darkspawn Mutant. Of course, this is nothing new. My life has always been a mess, I remember as a child wanting to be normal...to play with the children and be free, you know, actually free. Most of my life I was a burden to my Mother and Sister since I was born forcing them to constantly hide and move to different places all over Freleden, it was definitely quite a burden for my sister but she never fussed even if I cost her friends a…

The Dark Warden's Retribution: Hollis's Beginning

Hollis was standing outside of a barrack, inside the barrack bred one of the minor slaver companies of Kirkwall, The Landers, a pathetic name, but what were you expecting from a small group of thug wannabes, they were playing cards. Hollis walked to the door and knocked on it. “What do you want?” one of the slavers asked.

“Power.” Hollis replied “power over Kirkwall.”

“Well,” the thug started to chuckle “you’re not going to get any from this gang.”

Hollis grew impatient with the excuses the thug made and put one foot up and knocked the door down. “What the hell?” said one of the surprised thugs.

The door flew to the other side of the room and broke a stolen portrait.

“Well,” Hollis started to chuckle “one has to start from the bottom of the bar…

The Dark Warden's Retribution: Hollis

Chapter V: Hollis

“And I told the whore: I don’t have the fucking money; I just wanted you to blow me.” The guard said, the other one was laughing.

“Your talk sickens me.” A tall and masked man in a black cloak said in the darkness.

“Who the hell…” the guard got up and with quick pace the tall man slit the guard’s throat.

“Shit, Frank.” The other guard said, stuttering.

“If you get up then I swear to the Maker your head will be cut off in half a second.” The tall man said with a repressed tone of anger.

The stuttering guard sat down, “What do you want?”

“Where is your captain?” the masked man asked . “He’s through that door right there.” The guard said pointing at the door next to him.

“Thank you.” The tall man swung his blade.

“NO!” and the blade …

The Dark Warden's Retribution (Chapter III)

Chapter III: The Birth (I've rewritten the third chapter to make the story more coherent)

I woke up on the couch with my family picture in one hand and nothing in the other; I was dreaming that nightmare. My head was throbbing as I tried to remember how I got here. Then I remembered I had a dream, what did it say?

“Stop it, stop with this obsessive running.’’, the whisper said, “Stop it, now.” “No.”, I kept repeating, “I’m not running from anything.”

I started to drift back to sleep until I heard the scream of a woman, one that wasn't a figment of my imagination, this woman needed help. I got off my couch and sat the picture of my family down on the table, I stand up quickly and I walked to my door to grab my staff that was next to the door, …
