The Tempered Soul, Everlasting is a side quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This quest is available only if Rook chose to save Treviso instead of Minrathous.

Acquired automatically after completing Last Rites.
Walkthrough[]
The team must once again track down missing Shadow Dragons. This time, in a city hostile to them.
Find a way into the Temple of Andraste[]
The temple's usual entrances are blocked off by crystal barriers. You can access the courtyard by a narrow walkway north of the temple, west of the Andraste's Grace Beacon.
Defeat the Venatori[]
Defeat the Venatori in the Temple Courtyard who have the Viper trapped in a barrier powered by four crystals.
Free the Viper[]
Once the Venatori are defeated, the barrier blocking three of the crystals will drop. Destroy those three crystals, then destroy the last crystal to free the Viper.

Completing the quest yields:
- 1000 XP
- 250 Shadow Dragons Strength
- 400 Gold
- 2 Fade-Touched Silk
- Increased bond with companions taken on quest
- Class-dependent weapon
- Dark Shard (rogue)
- Etched Raider's Axe (warrior)
- Frostbranch (mage)

The Venatori have the Viper in their grasp. The team must rush to rescue him.
The team hurried to rescue the Viper from the Venatori's clutches, saving him from the fate that had befallen many of his fellow Shadow Dragons.
