Description	Supposedly crafted in the dread Sunless Lands south of the Korcari Wilds, this staff was wielded by the shaman to the Avvar warlord Balak, who swept into the Fereldan valley at the height of the Steel Age. Balak was defeated, but the shaman vanished during the final battle in the southern Hinterlands.

• Looted from the Lord Seeker's room in Therinfal Redoubt; see main quest Champions of the Just.

Trivia

• An approximation can be crafted using the Magister Staff Schematic, using any Tier 1 metal with cold damage (such as Blue Vitriol or Onyx) in the primary slot (55 DPS/34 Cold), and Fade-Touched Nugskin (Veilstrike) for the Masterwork; however, because the schematic has two Utility slots, the Offense bonuses must be added with upgrades. The Offense bonuses may be added by combining any upgrade schematics with slots that add up to: 4 Cloth Offense using Lambswool or Silk (+8% Barrier Damage Bonus), 2 Cloth Offense using Cotton or Samite (+3% Heal on Kill), and 2 Metal Offense using Summer Stone (+4% Guard Damage Bonus).
