Acquiring Two Amulets (Origins)

It is possible to purchase two of these amulets, because Bodahn's stock will completely replenish after the party leaves the Party Camp for the very first time.

  • Legitimately obtaining enough gold to purchase this amulet (without the need for downloadable content) during the first visit to camp can only be accomplished by a Dwarven Noble Rogue with enough skill at stealing (25 Cunning, Improved Stealing) to rob from Duncan twice in Ostagar (for master runes). Selling all items except gifts and the PC's primary weapon/weapons and not spending any money except what is necessary to complete the potion/poison/trap quests in Lothering can raise the needed sum. Results may vary depending on random loot attained, saving prior to opening random chests or stealing and then reloading can help control the quality of items received.
    • Selling the downloadable content, Blood Dragon Plate (as a dwarf noble rogue), will ensure you have enough gold by the end of Lothering and some extra gold to play with as well (if you follow the above also) with fewer reloads.
    • The Reaper's Cudgel (The Golems of Amgarrak) can be sold for a huge sum of gold right away and by anyone. This bypasses any need to sell other downloadable content items or be thrifty with your gold, however this item can be difficult to unlock.
  • The quest Traps are a Girl's Best Friend can also be used to generate the needed sum of gold. This is due to an exploit allowing it to be repeated endlessly.
