The Retreat is a network of caves built into the side of Chateau Haine. They were built by the Grey Wardens during the Fourth Blight in order to house thousands of refugees. Within the caves is a fresh water lake that was artificially constructed by the Grey Warden Isseya. The caves lead out into the Vimmark Mountains.
