Walkthrough[]
Davrin must rescue the kidnapped griffons from Isseya, before she blights them and dooms them to extinction.
Investigate the lead on Isseya[]
Speak with Davrin in the wetlands. Antoine shows them Lucas Kryson, a warden mysteriously returned from his calling to warn them that Isseya is doing something to the wardens in the Deep Roads, pointing the team in that direction.
Descend into the Deep Roads[]
Head inside and take the elevator down as Davrin gives Assan a pep talk. At the bottom they are confronted by a blighted warden. If Rook is a warden he asks them and Davrin to join, or rejects their presence otherwise. Kill him and proceed.
After crossing a short small wooden bridge, grab a chest on a platform to the left before moving on over the longer bridge into the courtyard of what appears to be a corrupted version of Weisshaupt. Here, darkspawn and wardens are fighting together to defend it from the Veilguard. Climb the half-ruined wall on the left to a big chest close to a ballista. Continue up towards the fortress, through a blight obstruction, according to the quest marker. Take the big chest before opening the door at the top.
On the other side is a reconstruction of the war room containing none other than the First Warden himself, completely blighted. Depending on how Rook dealt with him previously during The Siege of Weisshaupt he will be cooperative or incoherent. Regardless the reunion ends with Davrin putting him out of his misery for good.
Confront Isseya[]
In the war room are a number of points that can be investigated. Doing so unlocks another dialogue choice at the end of the quest if the First Warden was cooperative and gave the team enough insight into Isseya to realise that she still loves her own griffon deeply. In that case, bringing a feather found in this room can remind Isseya of her true self later. [confirmation needed]
Continue over a bridge made of blight which gives way, then drop down further. Press on through the dungeon but don't miss a big chest hidden under one of the blight bulbs inside a cell. Keep moving through the darkspawn until the area opens up to a water. On the left side, use Assan to reach a ladder and empty the chest directly to the left over a low wall. Walk along the edge of the water, then climb the scaffolding straight ahead to reach a chest high up.
Darkspawn will keep appearing as long as the blight bulbs remain intact so eliminate each one to proceed.
Stop the ritual[]
Finally face-to-face with Isseya, the team must stop her from blighting the remaining griffons. Break each of the blight bulbs to make her vulnerable, then again when they reappear. Eventually she retreats behind a wall of blight, so break through it to chase after her. She will continuously be summoning both wardens and darkspawn to aid her during this.
When she is brought low a cutscene plays of Isseya catching Assan, almost blighting him but is confronted by Davrin who endevors to remind her of her past. If Rook got the feather they can convince her, otherwise Davrin runs her through with his sword.
Regardless of Isseya's fate the griffons are finally free and must find a permanent home. Davrin suggests either with the Wardens or in Arlathan with his old friend Eldrin and it's up to Rook to decide. Whichever choice is made Davrin also offers Assan to stay with the team or with his siblings. His feathery companion choses to stay by Davrin's side no matter what.

Results[]
Davrin has important news: a Warden has arrived in Hossberg, and he claims to have information on Isseya. The man is waiting to speak to the team in Lavendel.
Isseya has imprisoned the kidnapped griffons down in the Deep Roads and plans to unleash some sort of "crusade" against the Grey Wardens. Davrin must find her lair and rescue the griffons before Isseya dooms them to extinction by blighting them.
Isseya has hidden the kidnapped griffons down in the Deep Roads, inside a twisted mockery of Grey Warden architecture raised by blighted hands. Davrin and the team must contront her and save the griffons before Isseya blights them and turns them into mindless monsters.
Isseya, in her grief, had planned on blighting the young griffons to "save" them. Davrin and the team not only defeated her but stopped Isseya's army of corrupted Grey Wardens from sweeping over Hossberg and the rest of the Anderfels. After freeing the griffons, Davrin had been resigned to Assan departing with the others... and was overjoyed when Assan refused to leave his side.
