The Kindly Knight is an elderly knight who has lived in Serault for many years and knows its history, laws and customs better than anyone. He serves in the court of the Marquis of Serault. He is well-regarded as a pious man and a loyal vassal, though his peers mutter that he's too gentle with the peasantry. He hasn't been the same since the death of his wife. He is the uncle of the Wayward Bard.
