The Howe Family is Nathaniel Howe's companion quest in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening. Nathaniel has learned that his sister Delilah survived the Fifth Blight and is now married to a storekeeper in the City of Amaranthine. With the rest of the Howe family dead, Nathaniel is particularly interested in reuniting with her.

Walkthrough[edit | edit source]

With Nathaniel in your party, head to the Vigil's Keep courtyard. There he'll run into Groundskeeper Samuel, who will inform Nathaniel that his sister, Delilah, is still alive, and in Amaranthine.

Note: After the conversation, even if you refuse to help Nathaniel, the quest will be triggered.

Make sure Nathaniel is in the party and enter the City of Amaranthine. Turn left, go past Glassric the Weaponsmith and Octham the Grocer. Delilah is just past them, on the left, with her back to you. Approach her and a cutscene will follow.

Dialogue with Nathaniel will net you Ico Appr Heart.png Nathaniel approves (+6) from him by choosing "You don't believe her?" and then option 1 "It's not your fault Nathaniel."

Result[edit | edit source]

  • 250 XP
  • Maximum of Ico Appr Heart.png Nathaniel approves (+14) or Ico DisAppr Heart.png Nathaniel disapproves (-18) (see Nathaniel Howe/Approval for details)

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • If you're a male human noble, Delilah will make a reference to how her father tried to set her up with the "stuck-up Cousland boy" and that she never liked the idea of it. At that point you'll get three dialogue options where she'll recognize the Warden-Commander and apologize for what her father did. In the human noble origin, if you were male, Arl Howe mentioned how Delilah had an interest in you.
