The Golden Halla is a side quest in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

A Golden Halla known as Hanal'ghilan is said to visit the Dalish in times of great need. A hunter named Ithiren believes the legendary Halla now roams the Exalted Plains

Acquisition Edit

Speak with Ithiren at the Dalish Camp in the Exalted Plains.

Walkthrough Edit

Hanal'ghilan roams around Halin'sulahn. You can tell it apart from other halla as it has a slight yellow tint to it, though even at a distance its horns are noticeably brown rather than silver as the rest of the halla. Herd the halla towards the camp. You may have to deal with some hostiles (Venatori, Freemen, or black wolves) on the way to the camp. It's recommended to ride a mount so as to be able to keep up with the halla's speed and avoid enemies. When you get close enough, the quest will be indicated as completed. Hanal'ghilan will then reside in the den behind the Dalish camp and cannot be attacked. You can also choose to kill the halla, which results in getting a Golden Halla Hide.

Rewards Edit

  • 512 XP
  • 200 Influence
  • 2 Power
  • DAIApproval Dalish Favor +3 for By the Grace of the Dalish
  • DAIApproval Dalish Favor +1 for choosing (Special) "A golden halla? Halan'ghillan?" as an elvish Inquisitor when first speaking with Ithiren in order to obtain this quest

Bugs Edit

  • If you kill the Hanal'ghilan before ever speaking to Ithiren, the quest may become bugged and reward you no gain in Dalish Favor; in addition to Ithiren's quest marker remaining permanent.
