Solas, the Dread Wolf

The Dread Wolf Rises is the current working title[confirmation needed] of the next installment of the Dragon Age series.

The 2018 Game Awards teaser trailer, released on on December 6, 2018, depicted what appears to be the details of the lyrium idol, and ends with a tapestry of a wolf and an unnamed character on either side of the screen, with the red lyrium idol in the middle; the idol is surrounded by seven circles, two of which have not been greyed out, and the ground seems to be on fire.

At the end of the trailer Solas narrates, saying, "You've found me at last. I suspect you have questions," echoing his remarks in Trespasser.[1]

Development

As of late 2018, the game has been in development "for quite a while."[1] It was revealed at the 2018 Video Game Awards.[2] Sources within BioWare have stated that the game will be released no earlier than 2021, and that as of late 2018, the game is without an official name.[3]
