The Abess' Departure is an event card in Dragon Age: The Last Court. It generates only if the Marquis of Serault replaces the Elegant Abbess with another Counselor.

Description[]

You call her to your chambers.

Available actions[]

1.

"Explain that hard days call for hard counsel"
"Her mercy is not what Serault needs, just now."
Difficulty: Peril*6/5

Success: With grace
She accepts the tidings with poise. "These are dark days, your Grace. I am glad to have served, and I have been too long from my Abbey. I will miss our discussions, though. I will even miss our arguments." She takes her leave, her robes whispering about her feet.
Abbess is no longer Counselor

Failure: Dark Times
Her eyebrows arch above her slender mask when you tell her about your new counselor. "I'm sure your Grace is wise," she says, politely. "A shame, though. I had thought we complemented each other." Standing, she bows. "I will return to my abbey. I have served you as best I could, your Grace. Now it's time I resumed the Maker's work."
Perhaps your warning of grim times unsettled her. The Abbey is more secluded in the coming days, and sends fewer goods to market.
Abbess is no longer Counselor, -10 Prosperity
