Parameter discussion Edit

Even though this page says that long term editors can access it I can only view the source, so I'd like to ask an admin to see if it can be changed so it automatically centers quotes and remove the command that places un-sourced quotes in a category as it seems unnecessary. The majority of quotes will likely be from the game which should be obvious and I don't think viewers will need a source to be convinced of the authenticity of an in-game quote. Also I think the little yellow src thing looks unattractive Tonguesmiley. The source line can still be left in for any quotes that might need it, but I'd rather not have a wanted category for un-sourced quotes, when not all quotes need one. Do we really need to even use this? --Selty 01:51, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Well I was thinking no too, but thought as it has already been used on a few pages it could be better. I might remove it from use, and maybe the template should be considered for deletion? Loleil 01:58, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Indentation mess-up Edit

I wasn't aware of this former discussion, and that this template might be deleted some day. Well, now it's used on more than 500 pages …

What bugs me is, that it messes up existing indentation (when used on talk pages), because it itself uses a colon at the start:

<div class="quote"> :<span> “''{{{1}}}''”</span>{{#if: {{{2|}}} |  ―{{{2}}} }}{{{3|}}}</div>

I tried to change this to

<div class="quote"> <span style="text-indent:10px"> “''{{{1}}}''”</span>{{#if: {{{2|}}} |  ―{{{2}}} }}{{{3|}}}</div>,

but that didn't work, no indent anymore. Neither did the text-indent inserted in the div nor a second div added. I sadly don't understand, why. Could perhaps someone with more knowledge about these things take a look into the matter? Thanks. --CompleCCity (talk) 07:01, March 4, 2017 (UTC)
