Tanner is an Inquisition guard stationed in Skyhold.
Background[]
Before joining the Inquisition, Tanner was a farmer who lived in the countryside near Jader. After the explosion at the Divine Conclave, he was inspired to join the Inquisition and signed up as a guard. There, he met and befriended Mira, a fellow guard.
Involvement[]
Tanner can be encountered in Skyhold when Iron Bull invites the Inquisitor to meet some of the regular soldiers fighting for the Inquisition, such as Tanner and Mira. Iron Bull and the Inquisitor (disguised as Grim) join the two guards as they play cards and drink in Skyhold's courtyard. Bull asks them their perspective on the Inquisition. Tanner says that he didn't want to spend his whole life as a farmer and that he "needed to live a little". After Iron Bull and the Inquisitor take their leave, Tanner and Mira resume their card game.
