Tamra is a knight of the Arling of Amaranthine.

Background[edit | edit source]

Little is known of Ser Tamra, apart from the fact that she is a knight. She is known to be sly.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

This section contains spoilers for:
Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening.

If in the opening scene of the Oaths of Fealty, the Warden-Commander picks the persuade option and passes the check (requires Expert Coercion), Ser Tamra will be persuaded and, if spoken to, inform the Commander that she intercepted letters which suggest a conspiracy to overthrow the Wardens' rule over Amaranthine. This will trigger the quest A Brewing Conspiracy.

Note: If Ser Tamra is not persuaded to help the Warden-Commander, Anders can give this quest as well.

The Commander will then have to talk with Varel about this (the ceremony cannot end without talking to Varel if A Brewing Conspiracy is started). If the conspirators have not been dealt with by the time the quest A Day In Court starts, Ser Tamra will be found dead in the streets, likely murdered by Ser Temmerly the Ox.

If the conspirators are killed before A Day In Court or Ser Tamra didn't inform the Warden-Commander, she won't be seen again and can be presumed to still be alive.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • There is a letter for Bethany in Dragon Age II from Sister Ursula. The sister tells Bethany that her close friend Tamra fled with her family to Redcliffe, but Ursula hasn't been able to locate Tamra there. It is unknown if the Tamra in the letter and Ser Tamra are the same person.
