Trivia
- The Talkative Man also says something about believing that the Fereldan Blight was a ploy. His reasoning for this is that, unlike the other Blights, which often lasted hundreds of years, the Fereldan Blight lasted for just over a year. He also thinks that Alistair was put on the throne (if he was, in Dragon Age: Origins) as a way to overthrow Anora, instead of truly being King Cailan Theirin's half brother.
- The phrase, "The truth is out there," pronounced by the Talkative man is a reference of the science fiction series The X-Files, where this phrase comes up regularly throughout the series and became the slogan.
- The mentions of "lyrium in the water" and women trying to "steal my life essence" is a reference to General Jack D. Ripper from Dr. Strangelove.
