Skills[]

With the edit tool I looked up the skills, just haven't thought about if/how to place them here yet. Should there be a topic per werewolf, or just a combined page.. And how to handle all the links.

Very cool info. I'm undecided on how best to present this info. For now probably just one "Werewolves" page with all the info, but eventually we'll probably need this plus a page for each type. --  SkyeNiTessine (talk · contr) 16:06, November 23, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for the reaction. I was thinking the same, it would have been easier if all the werewolves looked radically different, then the extra value of a page per werewolf would be greater. But as it is most look almost the same (Maybe a little darker pelt for the Shadows) For now I'll place the info on the normal page then.--Mytharox 16:18, November 23, 2009 (UTC)

Blizzard makes Werewolves passive?![]

I just stumbled upon something quite strange... When I cast Blizzard near a certain group of Werewolves they become passive and just stand about doing nothing. It hasnt worked on other Werwolves so far, so its not a general thing. Anyone have an explanation for this? Here's a screenshot, so you know which werewolves I mean: "http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/3363/werewolves.jpg"

Link just goes to the home page where I'm informed "Your images have never looked better." and I'm asked to start uploading. So can't really help. Maybe one needs an account/password ?

Werewolves are not by default abominations[]

I agree that werewolves are not abominations by default or a type (ref: Changes: Werewolf), but they can be created by abominations.

Like with Nature of the Beast Lady of the Forest (spirit) --> Witherfang (possessed beast), but she/he wasn't an actual werewolf. However, spirit possessions like this, Wynne's Spirit of Faith, and Justice—are not referred as abominations. In the case of Nature of the Beast, it was a spell created curse.

Codex entry: Blighted Werewolf talks loosely that the "werewolves may be abominations of a sort—wolves possessed by rage demons, or so the story goes" this just sounds like there is more than one way for werewolf curse to be created.

The Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights, argument is vague (is there more context missing or something?). Only patient zero/original curse holder appears to be the abomination, which in turn creates these beasts—werewolves, but still requires a human/elf host as a bottom line. So even if in a werewolf form these abominations are still not actually werewolves, and is just a possessed living creature (abomination).

The only confirmation is between Nature of the Beast, Codex entry: Blighted Werewolf and The Dragon Age: Tevinter Nights; is that werewolf curses are created with the possession of spirits or demons into a living creature, and that the curse ends with the killing of that abomination.

But instead of contributing to a edit war (since I see there is a preexisting division), I thought it should be discussed further here.  Hollowness | Talk | Contr 2:28, 21 June 2022 (UTC)

Maybe the best option is consider werewolves as enthralled in the demons and spirits lore. They have an affiliation with abomination, rather than be a type of abomination. If the original source is a possessed living being, the other werewolves seem possessed by the curse of the original source and not directly a result of possession by a spirit of the Fade.
