starfang?![]
I'm playing on the 360, and I was really looking forward to this sword, but I am angered that it looks like starfang. I was wondering if there is any workaround for the bug on the xbox port of the game?
The reason that it looks like starfang is because Warden's keep bugs Awakening and makes several wapons and armor pieces look like things from warden's keep, for example the sentinel armor chest which is supposed to be black and have a glowing red symbol on it will look like the warden commander armor, you need to uninstall warden's keep and start over.
If you buy Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition, will you still have those same problems?
I was the one who originally posted my dismay above, however, my armor of the sentinel was rendered correctly, although it could be because i was a dwarf.
I don't think there's a way to uninstall things on the console versions of the game like I always try but I don't think that's an option.
- To clarify the actual problem - resource IDs that are used in Awakening are duplicates of some of the IDs from the Soldier's Keep DLC, namely those that correspond to the Starfang swords and the Warden Commander Armor. Bioware was too lazy to check this when they made the expansion and unwilling to correct the problem once it was discovered. This was not addressed in the 1.04 update and no further plans to update DA:O have been expressed by the developer.Kastagir (talk) 08:34, February 12, 2011 (UTC)
Epilogue and Witch Hunt Conflict[]
This is a pretty minor Lore Conflict that I wanted to hear your thoughts (and maybe theroies on how it could occur.) In Awakening my Warden had Vigilance forged as a Greatdword and had silverrite runes engraved on it to turn Darkspawn to mince meat. Now the problem is that in the epilogue the Antivan Crows Steal it but in Witch Hunt my Warden hot on <orrigan's trail is still butchering Darkspawn with his Vigilance even though it was supposed to be stolen. Now I would like to hear theories on how this is possible (in-universe.) My personal theory and (personal canon until I hear a better one) is that when he left Vigal's Keep, he left Vigilance in the keep and hired the Antivan Crows to steal it back for him (it's traditional for Warden's leave equipment behind for the next generation of Wardens) but he didn't consider himself part of the order at the time of the swords commision nor at the time of his departure, so He wanted to get back with any one knowing so he hired the Crows.--CrowInvictus (talk) 01:47, January 12, 2011 (UTC)
Or the crow assassin stole it after the witch hunt DLC...
Vigilance in Golems and Witch Hunt[]
Something to note, If you already messed up and imported your warden into Awakening before deleting Wardens Keep and then played through most of Awakening and are planning on playing through the last two dlc's, The Golem's of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt, you can actually fix the sword model and also the Sentinel armor set by deleting Wardens Keep before importing from Awakening into either of those two dlc's. I just tried it on PS3 and it worked. --50.50.5.172 (talk) 19:39, August 4, 2011 (UTC)Snake2410
