Amatus Edit

I removed the definition for Amatus as "loved" as I'm not sure if that is correct. Dorian does refer to the Inquisitor as Amatus if they are in a relationship, but I don't know if it directly translates as "loved". It could mean "Love" or "Sweetheart", etc. Unless it's specified somewhere. --Kelcat Talk 00:47, December 21, 2014 (UTC)

Tevene Translations Edit

Why are most of the Tevene things Fenris uses still untranslated? Have the writers not released the script pages or something. Usually David Gaider or one of the other writers clear things like this up for the fans. It seems weird that we've now had several characters that speak fluent Tevene but really no guide for the language. Does anyone know if there is perhaps a way to make a request like that from the writers? I know Mary Kirby and Patrick Weeks sometimes answer questions from fans on twitter. We've gotten very few specific translations of Tevene vocabulary so far. I hear tell the best way to ask questions of the devs is via twitter, but I've no idea how successful you'd be getting specifics beyond the fact that it holds similarities to Latin. --Kelcat Talk 00:58, October 10, 2015 (UTC)

Help with translations Edit

I need help trying to use Tevene in a fanfiction I am writing. I hear that Tevene is almost like our world's Latin. Yet when I type in some of the phrases that have definitions into something like Google Translate, all I get back is gibberish or partially translated nonsense. And seeing as there is so little to work with, I can't do what I did with the Elvhen language where I could work or twist some things around to find the phrases words I needed. Would it be accurate to just write Tevene as Latin? Or is there something I can use as a guide?--Arcanis Born (talk) 20:48, January 10, 2016 (UTC)

You're best off asking this in a forum post as it doesn't really have anything to do with improving the article's contents. Smiley --Kelcat Talk 03:09, January 11, 2016 (UTC)
