Effectiveness[]

In my case, many melee oriented enemies (sword 'n board thugs, abominations, shades) outright resist this spell, but archer and mage types are reliably knocked down. I find this really strange, as it's upgraded to have 30x force. I can pretty reliably knock down melee types with spells like Stone Fist, not upgraded, with only 6x force. Is this calculated differently? Pull of the Abyss works fine as my only other 30x comparison. I understand melee types would have higher fortitude, but I have NEVER knocked one down with TBurst. Bugged? Doing it wrong? Some enemy melees have knockdown immunity? --Chris

well, either they have full knockdown immunity, which would make them immune to telekinetic burst, but not to pull of the abyss, or it's simply their fortitude, maybe it's possible they sometimes resist 30x force, and sometimes they don't? anyway, i had the same experience overall, pull of the abyss is a lot more effective. 82.173.213.195 (talk) 08:19, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

If you look at the force page: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Force you'll notice the formula is (Damage * Force Multiplier) - Fortitude = Force of the attack

therefore telekinetic burst hits with a value of 30 force since it does no damage. It is trash because it wasn't very well thought out, they should have made it base 400x force or something.
