|This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Surface dwarves article.|
Just a quick question... should we be calling them the "surface caste"? They're "surface dwarves", sure, but as far as actual terminology goes, they're generally considered to be part of the "casteless"... just wondering if anybody else thinks that we should fix it somehow.
- Hmm it is tricky, as it appears that the term is contested. When listing the castes, David Gaider did refer to a surface caste, so it may be acceptable, even if it's not ideal. I still think it might be better off as part of the caste page, might go ask an admin. Loleil 02:50, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
I read a DG post earlier today where he specifically used Surface Caste. I think that it's the correct terminology, therefore, unless we are corrected. --Adaram 04:18, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
Clarification on what makes a surface dwarf... Specifically wondering if those that answered the summons of the Grey Warden treaty lost social status when they came to the surface in DA:O. Is there information about exceptions to the loss of status that comes with going the surface? Jaso9 (talk) 18:08, April 9, 2017 (UTC)
New page name Edit
The page surface caste was proposed as a merge candidate a while back, but it never happened. However, the text that was previous on for this article (before this was deleted by me to make the move) was copied from this blog post, which is actually Codex entry: Surface Dwarves. As such, this was moved to the new proposed name (due to the codex entries). --D. (talk · contr) 02:23, June 2, 2011 (UTC)
