Project instructions[]

  • LEDE PROJECT INFORMATION
    • Expand the top text if possible with useful info
    • Add short, useful paragraphs under each h2 for SEO
  • CARD ORDER
    • Writers: first
      • Leads first, alphabetize
      • Then regular writers, alphabetize
    • VAs: second
      • Alphabetical all the way down
      • Only include SIGNIFICANT VOICE ACTORS, e.g. those who already have pages or Companion/Antagonist VAs
    • Devs: last
      • Alphabetical all the way down
      • Only include those who already have pages for now
    • NOTE: INCLUDE PEOPLE TWICE IF THEY FALL UNDER MORE THAN ONE CATEGORY
  • CARD PROJECT INFORMATION
    • Cards MUST be within the <div>s or they won't display properly!
    • Games lists, books lists, & comics lists should be done in CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER
    • Carry over references from the old pages!!!
    • Characters can be listed as a raw list with "(DAO)", "(DAI)", etc next to them
      • Only necessary if the characters span at least 2 games
      • If there are characters from more than 2 games, set the characters up as sublists — see David Gaider card for example
    • Time parameters expect DATE-DATE format, e.g. 1999-2008, 1999-Present, etc.
      • References REQUIRED unless they're still employed at BioWare.
      • If a hiatus happened (e.g. fired in 2008, rehired 2016), do a list, e.g.
        • 1999-2008
        • 2016-Present
    • Pay attention to the Wikipedia/IMDb/LinkedIn parameters:
      • Wikipedia params expect the EXACT WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE NAME, NO LINKS
      • IMDb params expect the ARTICLE ID, found at the end of the IMDb URL — NO LINKS
      • LinkedIn params expect the USER ID, found at the end of the LinkedIn URL — NO LINKS

Ursuul - for the sake of transparency, I added a category called 'artists' - though it's only got our musicians in for now, I might add in the various comic artists as they're not BW employees so wouldn't fall under 'Devs'. Also, Eva pointed out that we want to save all the relevant refs as well, so please pull those when you build the card. A few refs I've found are 'dead' links, so consider whether a dead ref is valuable or not in the process! The one I hit turned out to be for something that wasn't getting moved over, so didn't matter. ToshiNama (talk) 12:08, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
