What does it mean by "normal damage"? Without any concrete information, I've always assumed shield size (reflected somewhat by their defense scores) would have an effect on dealing damage with that shield - although I concede that doesn't have to be so. But the only other option I see is normal damage meaning damage dealt by the character using the currently equipped weapon, which sounds wrong on so many levels: why should a shield attack care about what you have in the other hand? Maybe I'm thinking too much Diablo 2 style - the shields in that game had their own damage rating iirc, for use by the Paladin skills - but I don't like how Dragon Age gives us relatively few stats to look at. - Trucidation (talk) 01:24, November 23, 2010 (UTC)
