Bug: Completing the quest

There is a bug to completing this quest. if you miss to look at The Blackstone Irregulars Quest Board in Lothering or take the quest to late in Denerim or Redcliffe Village when Lothering has been destroyed you cannot complete the quest. This should get fixed by simple saying that Patter Gritch died and the result could be that you get a lower reward instead of having a bugged quest. Hroafelme 13:02, December 22, 2009 (UTC)

For some reason I can not start the quest, I missed the board on Lothering but the quest doesn´t seem to appear in the other boards (redcliff) bug? or do I need to do more Blackstone quests.

I´m using the 1.04 patch 83.52.49.63 (talk) 14:04, October 24, 2011 (UTC)

Possible bug[]

Someone added this, and I removed it. I'm putting it here so that it can be verified/etc. The bit of info also wasn't in the right place, and was pretty full of typos. I don't want it totally gone, however. If it's a possible bug it would be nice to include it, just in case anyone encounters it and seeks explanation. I'm just not sure what the right thing to do is.

"There may be a bug making the quest marker disappare sometimes if you tryed to talk to him before getting the quest."

Correction[]

The page says this:

"Note: It is possible for Dernal Garrison to be killed during The Attack at Nightfall, leaving you unable to complete this quest."

This does not appear to be correct, at least on PC 1.05. Even if you leave Redcliffe before the siege, allowing the village to be destroyed, Dernal Garrison will still be there in his home. He also does not appear during the nighttime battle. Qwinn (talk) 16:58, March 7, 2017 (UTC)
