Both World of Thedas, and this article state that Marethari became Keeper in 8:82 Blessed after the former Keeper was killed. The thing is the former Keeper has already been established as the father of The Dalish Warden, which would make the Dalish Warden almost 50 at the minimum if the date is taken as fact. As the Warden is a young hunter, similar in age to their best friend Tamlen it's an obvious mistake. Should the date of 8:82 be omitted from the article entirely or mentioned in a note at the bottom of the page?--Swampshade (talk) 20:17, June 25, 2015 (UTC)

Article name[]

Two unrelated issues:

 • 1. I am not very familiar with creating articles. While I feel the title should follow caption conventions (e.g. Sabrae Clan, not Sabrae clan), I do not know how to make both Sabrae Clan and Sabrae clan link to it
 • 2. Should the name be "Sabrae Clan" or "Clan Sabrae" or something along those lines? I am unsure of what would be the best.

Very late reply, but it is and should stay "Sabrae clan" as per naming convention. Unless there's a good reason to name it "Sabrae Clan", it's incorrect to capitalize "clan" as evidence by some codex entries (see Codex entry: Varterral). It's not considered part of the name, and should be kept lowercase. --D. (talk · contr) 03:34, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

Notable members[]

Should we add Radha, Chandan and Harshal to the list of Notable Members in the Sabrae clan? Do we know of any more names, or unnamed people we should add? (Mahariel's father, who was the clan's previous keeper?)--SylvanLore (talk) 12:34, March 21, 2012 (UTC)

Mahariel Clan[]

Should the Sabrae Clan page be renamed the Mahariel Clan? Isn't it possible that Marethari of Clan Sabrae transferred to Clan Mahariel? It would then simply be a matter of making a note on the appropriate pages that she is originally of Clan Sabrae but evidently became Keeper for Clan Mahariel on the death of the latter tribe's Keeper. That would then support why the Dalish Warden's name is Lyna/Theron Mahariel since they were born into that particular clan. As for the DA2 hunters, why not go ahead and add them to the list with a note that they are named in DA2? Shenachie (talk) 00:48, April 11, 2012 (UTC)

While possible, it is speculation, and the only official source for the name we have is Codex entry: Merrill. For all we know, the clan of the name from the Dalish origin was always "Sabrae", regardless of the Keeper's name, which does not transfer, as evidence by codex entries written by Keeper Gisharel from the Ralaferin clan—see Codex entry: Varterral). --D.
