Name[]

I haven't fully read through the DA2 codex, but I don't recall seeing the name "red lyrium" in the game in reference to this kind of lyrium. The only instance of a name I can remember is that of the "Primeval Lyrium Rune", created from a shard of the Lyrium Idol, which was, of course, composed of this variation of the substance. If no reference to "red lyrium" can be found, I suggest renaming this article to "primeval lyrium", after the rune. -Tajik24 (talk) 05:58, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, the name "red lyrium" never appears in the codex or in the dialogue for that matter. To add to your argument: this type of lyrium is also found exclusively in the Primeval Thaig. Sadly Mr. Gaider didn't answer the name question in this thread nor made a distinction between this lyrium and the pure and the corrupted ingredients. So it's basically pure speculation at this point.--ShardofTruth (talk) 10:30, May 3, 2011 (UTC)

Merging[]

I'm in favour of merging as this element is lyrium in and of itself, so belongs in Lyrium under a section called "Red" Lyrium, or "Primeval" Lyrium. Elementalist King Cousland | Talk 00:29, August 13, 2011 (UTC)

Blighted?[]

In DA:I you find out that red lyrium is infected with the blight, but the red lyrium idol was worshiped in the Primeval Thaig, and the Thaig was abandonded before the first blight. Does that mean the blight (the effects) existed before the blight (event) 24.86.35.118 (talk) 16:19, January 31, 2015 (UTC)

Dwarves came from the lyriun[]

In DAI, Dagna didn't said something about she felt "like the Stone" when she worked with the samples of the Fade?

I wonder if the dwarves came from the Lyriun itself and the Fade is, somehow, the "Fade" in solid form
