Friendship/Rivalry[]

I think the Friendship/Rivalry changes must not be as clear as indicated. I had Aveline, Anders, and Merrill in my party when I confronted DuPuis in his mansion. After using all the "Investigate" dialogues, including commenting on his blood magic and asking why he didn't inform the guard, I offered to help track his sister's killer (sparing him) and none of my party gained Rivalry. Unfortunately, all 3 were maxed on Friendship, so I couldn't tell if listening and then sparing gave any Friendship either. I didn't gain any Rivalry later when I told the templar he was likely innocent either. - Rehwyn42 (talk) 19:41, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

With Aveline not maxed, letting him go after this interrogation resulted in Rivalry Aveline: rivalry (+5). - Winnetou (talk) 11:31, March 19, 2011 (UTC)

I had Anders, Fenris and Varric. "Investigate" all options -- and then told him he could go. This ended with no changes; out of the three, only Fenris was heading towards Rival, the other two were at full friendship. --220.255.2.46 (talk) 19:54, March 14, 2011 (UTC)

i thought i should mention that when someone is at full friendship (or full rivalry for that matter) they get "locked", meaning that they wil get NO more changes whatsoever towards friendship rivalry. [[1]] just felt i should throw it out there for the ones that say they have no changes and also say they have maxed the bars. --Vornek (talk) 13:52, March 20, 2011 (UTC)--Vornek (talk) 13:51, March 20, 2011 (UTC)

I also had Varric, Fenris, and Anders in my party, investigated, and let DuPuis go and received no rivalry points (Only Varric was maxed out). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.41.203.201 (talk) 16:17, 3 June 2011 (UTC)

--I had to say I didn't believe the guy and not to get his hopes up in order to get the Rivalry points for Varric. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.12.50.120 (talk) 20:22, 14 June 2011 (UTC)

More Approval Issues[]

Sebastian will chime in that "this is a worthy cause." Selecting the diplomatic option at this point accepts the quest and grants Sebastian's approval. This will also net Friendship small Fenris: friendship (+5)

I feel I've been robbed of Fenris approval. He's only +35 at present, and didn't gain the promised +5.

Unfortunately, as I suspected, but which wasn't 100% clear, Varric's humorous line must mean all three must humorous. Didn't really think one out of three would do.
