Curious[]

The second half of the Merrill quests which related tot he pride demon did not appear at all in my game despite how I tried to trigger them. Even more strange is the game acts as if they happened because the start of the third act has Merrill weeping about the lost keeper (confused the hell out of me for ages).

Marethari's wrong[]

I know Marethari says that Audacity would've used the Eluvian to escape its' prison into the real world, but Morrigan told us in Witch Hunt that the Eluvian links to a place beyond both the Fade and the mortal world, so shouldn't that be mentioned somewhere? Both Merrill and Morrigan did extensive research on the Eluvian, while Marethari didn't want anything to do with it. Lying Memories (talk) 15:27, April 18, 2011 (UTC)

I think you're right. There's absolutely no evidence to support Marethari's claim about Audacity being able to escape the Eluvian. The problem is that Marethari, initially, claims in Act II that she believes Merrill will be tainted by the shard of the Eluvian, despite the fact that Merrill successfully cleansed the shard with a spell she used in Origins on the Dalish protagonist (who was tainted), except amplified with blood magic (because she lacked the sufficient amount of lyrium necessary to cleanse it with ordinary magic). Then, three years later, Marethari claims that Merrill was in danger from Audacity, except there was no way for Marethari to come to this conclusion unless Audacity itself told her this was the case. Marethari endangered everyone with her actions - Merrill included. It seems more like Audacity tricked Marethari into releasing it from it's prison, which is interesting since Merrill notes to an aggressive Hawke that she has no intention of releasing Audacity from the totem.
