If you pickpocket Sigrun (if you did not keep her in your party) at the end of this quest you can pickpocket the key to the guardhouse in Amaranthine off of her. Just something interesting I wanted to share.--Syrant 07:23, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

I don't believe Kal'Hirol is a Thaig. It certainly hasn't been referred to as such. -- tierrie talk contr 19:55, September 13, 2010 (UTC)
It IS a thaig, but I'm not sure the name change is necessary. We have Orzammar, not Orzammar Thaig. Melisma17 (talk) 20:16, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

I thought Kal'Hirol was a fortress, not a Thaig... *confused* -- Rocketai (talk) 20:18, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

Kal'Hirol is talked about as if it's more than just a fortress. It is also a center of learning and referred to as a "home". From what I recall some of the other thaigs have doubled as fortresses as well, in addition to being both a "home" and a "center of learning" for other castes. So even if Kal'Hirol has generally been referred to as a fortress, perhaps for marketing reasons since those blurbs were in the ads for the expansion, it certainly sounds a lot like a thaig to me, albeit a heavily fortified one. -Vim- (talk) 20:54, September 13, 2010 (UTC)

That said, I can understand the logic of sticking with Kal'Hirol since that's how it's usually mentioned, I'll revert it. -Vim- (talk) 21:02, September 13, 2010 (UTC)
