While his primary weapon is a two handed sword, he also comes equiped with a bow as his secondary weapon and is in fact more suited to ranged combat than Daveth, as he has more of the Archery skills to fulfill that role if the player chooses.

I'm not so sure about this. I'm somewhat of a restart freak (doesn't take me long to get bored with a particular character, and then I start over once again! :) ), and have been through the Korcari Wilds probably 30+ times. I've only seen Jory have any archery skills twice - though I don't check every time. Usually I play through the Wilds primarily with ranged weapons, and the darkspawn can almost always be lured one by one - spamming them with auto-attack with four bows is usually enough to drop even a hurlock before it gets close enough to attack. Anyway, just saw Jory with bow skills a second time - Human Noble Warrior, playing on Nightmare. SoyJuice 14:43, February 27, 2010 (UTC)

Category: Grey Warden? Edit

Whey is Ser Jory listed as a Grey Warden? He didn't drink the blood, so he isn't a Grey Warden IMO. He's a Grey Warden wannabe. AbsolutGrndZer0 (talk) 17:02, September 24, 2010 (UTC)

Err, initiate is probably a better term. NeoKoda (talk)

The Name Game Edit

Was I the only one who noticed that his name, when said quickly, sounds very much like the word 'surgery'? I had assumed this was intentional, but maybe I'm crazy. (talk) 04:07, March 7, 2012 (UTC)BooDaddy

Owen's son? Edit

If, during their first encounter, a Dwarven Warden reminds Ser Jory that "not all Dwarves are smiths", Jory will state that his previous introductions to Dwarves were instigated by his father, the Redcliffe blacksmith. Would this make Jory Owen's son and Valena's brother, then? -- (talk) 22:35, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

I don't think he's Owen's son or in any way related to him. Sure, it's possible, but Owen is not the only Blacksmith in Redcliffe, I imagine. DraculaCronqvist (talk) 01:20, November 5, 2012 (UTC)

Under trivia, it mentions the possibility that Jory is a reference to Jory Cassel from the A Song of Ice and Fire series. I happen to think it's just a coincidence, but what's bugging me is that it has a spoiler from the book A Game of Thrones. I don't know what the policy is for that kind of thing, but it doesn't seem right to include it. Thoughts? Norqi (talk) 23:59, October 18, 2013 (UTC)

Indeed, such speculative trivia are removed from the wiki. Viktoria Landers 00:53, October 19, 2013 (UTC)
