Where do we find decorative gems for these silly Orlesians? --68.40.62.29 (talk) 00:00, December 2, 2014 (UTC)
After reviewing several forums and Youtube videos found a method to ensure a templar/mage would spawn at high levels: 1) Fast Travel to Dwarfson's Pass Camp 2) Go northwest to the widow's house. If there is a friendly NPC in front of the house, goto #1. 3) Go north to the brazier in front of the rock surrounding by a ring. Stand right next to it. 4) Quick save 5) Quick load 6) If your party goes into a fighting stance - LOOK AROUND. The templars/mages have spawned nearby. I usually find them northeast of the brazier / southwest of the Astarium, OR, in front of the widows house. If they do not spawn quick load again. ==>I've had some instances where I can't find them at all even with my party in a fighting stance, OR, quick loading several times does not spawn anything. Goto #8 if that happens.
7) Kill the templars/mages and get a decorative gem in the loot drop. If you didn't get one in the loot drop, quick load. 8) Zone out / travel to somewhere outside of the Hinterlands (e.g. Skyhold). 9) Goto #1 until you have all the decorative gems you need. http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Age_Wiki:SIGN Took me ~30 minutes with this method.
