Zevran HoDA Appearance Edit

Adding this here as well, for reference: Regarding clarification on Zevran's possible appearance in HoDA, one of the HoDA developers recently came onto the BSN and provided confirmation that he is not currently in the game but is planned in a future update within the next few months.[1] The official HoDA forums are the best bet for updates on this, and anything else.--WardenWade (talk) 20:26, December 6, 2013 (UTC)

Multi-faction clarification Edit

Can anyone explain the faction bonus if you have a multicolored character? If you have 3 blues and 1 red/blue, does it still count for faction bonus or does every character need to be blue? —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talkcontribs) 06:09, January 10, 2014‎

I think you get the bonus but it is not as big as if you had a full blue. Viktoria Landers 16:10, January 10, 2014 (UTC)

Split Edit

I'm suggesting to split out the characters into their own page, accessible via a link on this one. There are currently over 150 playable characters in HoDA with more being added all the time. Which is making this page looooong. Kelcat (talk) 21:15, February 3, 2014 (UTC)

Yes The large roster of characters listed here makes it somewhat difficult for users to conveniently read about them on this page, so I support the split. Chantry symbol King Cousland | Talk   21:58, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
Yes This page is so long, I think giving characters own page is a good idea.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 22:10, February 3, 2014 (UTC)
Yes I think it is an excellent idea. I have added a couple of characters and I was starting to wonder about that myself. Also, I am working in compiling the characters stats at different Tiers. This might be good information to add as well.-- (talk) 21:56, February 7, 2014 (UTC)
Yes I definitely agree to a split. There is enough content on this game that it makes sense to start categorizing them. -- tierrie talk contr 06:09, February 8, 2014 (UTC)

Special character packs Edit

Is it worth noting the special character packs that have been made available for limited times--such as the current Attack Pack? They're usually only available for 1-3 days, and it's hard to tell yet if the old ones will be made available again at some point. --Kelcat (talk) 03:22, March 15, 2014 (UTC)

what is best way to maximize chances of getting a wynne out on special wynne challenge

Missing characters and their link to DA:I? Edit

Characters including Cullen, Bann Teagan, Tallis and Nathaniel Howe are yet to be added to HoDA. We've already had Cullen confirmed to be in Inquisition, but do you think the fact that these characters aren't in HoDA yet means that they're going to appear in Inquisition in a somewhat important role? And if not, poor ol' Nathaniel. He's the only companion from one of the three main games (Origins, Awakening, and DA2), not to appear in HoDA. Plus, we all know how much Bioware loves Tallis, so I'd be very surprised if she doesn't get added soon. Eggy2504 (talk) 00:07, May 6, 2014 (UTC)

I actually messaged capitalgames to see if they're planning on adding Nathaniel, as I noticed too that he's the only companion not in the game. Unfortunately, all I got back was a generic message saying they're planning on adding new characters soon. --Kelcat (talk) 00:15, May 6, 2014 (UTC)

Sounds like he's going to appear soon then. Also, what's up with the Giant Corrupted Spider? It's the only Bronze character I've not got, which is kinda weird. I've only fought it in PVP once or twice, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to get it (I'm a bit of a completionist, I've owned all the other Bronzes and all of the Silvers up to Tier 4). I've bought hundreds of Recruit Packs, and not once seen it. Eggy2504 (talk) 00:22, May 6, 2014 (UTC)

HoDA 2.0 Edit

With the new version 2.0 of the game, Combining is now gone, and Fortifaction is in its place. The mechanics of Consume have also changed. I added the Missing Info tag to the article, but I haven't played around with the new stuff enough to fully understand it enough to add to the article. Here are a couple of links about the changes for the time being, if anyone is interested (From the official Capital Games forums).

--Kelcat (talk) 23:54, June 19, 2014 (UTC)

NGL, I was very confused when I woke up yesterday and looked at it, to find that half of my characters had tiered up (some several times), and spent a good five minutes or more trying to find out why before I discovered how it was now part of Consume. Eggy2504 (talk) 07:31, June 20, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry! I went ahead and added some of the new info before I checked in here. feel free to revert if I messed up any parts. I've been playing with the mechanics a lot, and have a decent understanding on how they work. Additionally I've been taking more screen shots if they're needed, some of them are the game explaining the new mechanics, and others are of me using said mechanics.I'd be happy to help or provide any info needed. Warden Mage: Ferris (talk) 04:23, June 25, 2014 (UTC)

No worries! I was just working on some expansions to the consume section, so I've incorporated your edits into what I wrote. I'm still hazy on the whole "Consume Progress" part, though, and I haven't really looked at the fortify process in game yet. I think adding some screenshots of the new consume and fortify aspects would be really helpful, so if you've got some that would be great! --Kelcat (talk) 04:30, June 25, 2014 (UTC)
Also, maybe an image of one of the new Consume Wisps? --Kelcat (talk) 04:32, June 25, 2014 (UTC)
Thank goodness! editing and such is still a bit new for me ^^; right after i hit publisht he very next thought was "wait don't they usually have talk pages about this stuff before you publish edits?" and I ended up here. So for consume; All heroes now have a "Consume Progress" bar, each time it fills, you get "something". For example I've got a Red Iron Mage I, when I've consumed enough for 60 XP she gets a 2x damage chance increase to 2%, next at 346 XP it's 3%, but at 692 she gets a health slot (used in fortification). You'll typically see 2x damage increases and after a few of those another fortification slot unlocks. Up to 5600 XP then she tiers up to Red Iron Mage II. It's basically a different leveling system. However if I consume a second Red Iron Mage I, it will just skip to Tier 2 (also gaining all 2x damage chance increases and fortification slots in between). The higher the rarity, the higher tier, and similar factions all grant additional bonuses to XP gained. For dual factions, you just have to match one of the colors. Wisps are supposed to just give more XP then normal Heroes do. Strangely even tho I've only received a silver Wisp, all of them showed up in my Gallery So I can definitely snag a picture for you. (I also have the promo picture they put out)
Fortification slots is the next new thing. All heroes now have 10 Fortification slots, 5 for health and 5 for power. From my experience they give them all 2 free slots to start with (1 health and 1 power). First you place the hero you want to fortify. You then place an unused (and unwanted) Hero into a slot, and based on its Rarity, Tier, and faction will give a permanent bonus to either health or power (whichever slot you placed them in). Using a hero to fortify another is basically like consumption, in that it's permanent, and you wont be able to get the hero back once used to fortify. Here Shows my Grey Warden Bethany with a bunch of random uncommons I fortified her with, and Here is her being fortified by 7 tier IV Grey Warden Mages. Because they shared the blue faction, they were Tier IV and rares, it boosted her power by 117 and health by 468. Making her stronger then the normal "unfortified" Bethany. I'll have to upload the rest of the images I have a bit later as I'm heading off to sleep in a bit here, but if theres anything specific you'd like I can try and get it. Warden Mage: Ferris (talk) 05:26, June 25, 2014 (UTC)
This is some great info! More than enough for us to start incorporating it into the article. --Kelcat (talk) 01:51, June 26, 2014 (UTC)

Nexus Edit

The latest update of HoDA is going to go live tomorrow. Here's a link to the video describing the details. [1]. I can't tell all the details for the Nexus since it's viewable in-game today but not usable yet, but I'm thinking that it may be worth creating a separate page for Nexus. Preliminary thoughts? --Kelcat Talk 02:01, October 21, 2014 (UTC)

Welp, looks like the Nexus has actually completely replaced Challenges, making Challenges (Heroes of Dragon Age) obsolete... still not sure the best way to include the Nexus info though. --Kelcat Talk 04:45, October 22, 2014 (UTC)

Untitled Edit

every time i try to enter an event or any sort of combat in this game, it kicks me out. what gives? it ran good for about a day and a half after they did the last updates and since, i haven't been able to play it. any suggestions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk)

You're best off going to the official HoDA forums for help. I know there have been a lot of bugs and issues with the new update, so you may find some help there. Feedback, Suggestions, and Bug Reports --Kelcat Talk 21:34, October 25, 2014 (UTC)
