So, which of the two is better? Supposing your main character doesn't use bows or shields and you haven't gone through the trouble to respec the companions, it means the bow is ideally for Nathaniel and the shield would be for Justice. I'm leaning towards the shield since Nathaniel gets his unique bow, but... the bow looks like it might have better specs than the Howe Bow? Are there any shields better than the Heartwood Shield? - Ancestralmask 16:46, March 22, 2010 (UTC)

Honestly, it's my opinion that Partha (found in Kal'Hirol) and the Landsmeet Shield (Wending Wood) are both better than the Heartwood Shield. I think the bow stacks up better against the competition. It's comparable to Misery (Heartwood has more +Cunning for chests and such, Misery has more crit chance). Far Song may be better, but conditions for acquiring it are not always desirable, plus it costs 100+ gold. Plus, the bow looks badass. --Crush. 13:32, April 17, 2010 (UTC)
