Is this a reference to the deceased president of the Czech Republic? O.o ; —Preceding unsigned comment added by eynor (talkcontribs)

There's never been any mention by the developers that that's the case. I'd say it's more likely his name might have been inspired by Havel in "Dark Souls" but that's just a guess. --Kelcat Talk 22:30, February 19, 2016 (UTC)

Not present after Address the Chantry in Val Royeaux[]

I am definitely after the quest where the Templars left the city and he is nowhere to be found. Must be he is unlocked by something else.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Zadymek (talkcontribs)

I'm too far along on all my saves to confirm what triggers him appearing. I would recommend posting this topic on the Dragon Age Wiki:Discord, use this invite link to join the server if you are interested. There are thousands of contributors available to answer questions more readily than here on any of the talk pages. --Zj24 (talk) 17:08, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
If I'm understanding the involvement section correctly, Havel should be present the first time you go to Val Royeaux (during The Threat Remains), but his store only opens after completing In Hushed Whispers or Champions of the Just. Your description of "the quest where the Templars left the city" sounds like The Threat Remains, so his store not being opened is normal. It will only be unlocked after completing the next main quest (mages in Redcliffe or templars in Therinfal Redoubt). However, if Havel is not present at all before his store opens, the wording of the involvement section will need to be adjusted. Evamitchelle (talk) 03:09, 23 August 2021 (UTC)
