Two separate items with the name "Gold Ring" (Dragon Age: Inquisition) Edit

I've been keeping a close eye on all the valuables in the game, and I noticed there are 2 different items called "Gold Ring". One is sold by Barnabus in Val Royeaux for 1062 gold. It's picture looks more like a pendant or locket than it does a ring, and it resells for 160 gold. The other Gold Ring item has flavor text that says "A Single Gold Ring". The picture for this one does look like a ring (same pic used for Silver Ring) and has a sell value of 1 gold. Unfortunately, I have no clue if I looted it from a mob or treasure chest. It had to have come from something in The Storm Coast though, since that's where I was questing. I would create a page for it, but not really sure how it should be titled.--N00bKing (talk) 08:01, January 2, 2015 (UTC)

I've been tracking the valuables, too, but I don't seem to have found the less valuable Gold Ring yet. From what I've been able to tell, though, the majority of them can be looted from both corpses and containers, so saying it's found in the Storm Coast would be enough.
As to how to deal with the two different items... perhaps make the main thrust of this page about the lootable gold ring, putting all that in the infobox, and then in a note say that there's another gold ring purchasable from the vendor at Val Royeaux and how it has a different price (and then add the icon later when we get it)? I'd suggest two different pages, but I have no idea how we'd name them to distinguish them from each other. I don't really understand the point of the one in Val Royeaux, it's a ridiculously high price for something I've seen no use for. --Kelcat Talk 00:40, January 5, 2015 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. I've edited the page per your suggestion. Feel free to change my edits if I've misinterpreted.--N00bKing (talk) 14:58, January 11, 2015 (UTC)

There should be two pages, e.g. Gold Ring (Inquisition) (loot) and Gold Ring (Inquisition) (Barnabus). Right now, as a result of the last edit, Barnabus page says that he sells the ring for 7 gold. – mostlyautumntalkcontribs • 15:03, January 11, 2015 (UTC)

Or maybe we would be better off without automatic calculation of buy prices for Inquisition merchants and should just input them on the page directly. It's often more trouble than it's worth. – mostlyautumntalkcontribs • 15:07, January 11, 2015 (UTC)

The edits look great, but it might be best to split them if they are interfering with the vendor pages. I know there are also two different diamond rings with slightly different stats, so we may come upon this again. --Kelcat Talk 20:06, January 11, 2015 (UTC)
