Dwarves Edit

Genlocks are not dwarves corrupted by the blight. See this topic [1]

Good find. I think a dev quote always trumps a journalist's so feel free to change it. Loleil 09:18, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

I don't know what to do with the reference, so maybe someone else should edit it. Thanks. Elvhen Veluthil 09:29, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Done :) Loleil 09:33, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Possible spoiler?Edit

The origin of the various breeds of darkspawn isn't obvious at the start of the game. The codex notes that most believe darkspawn come from corrupted captives, and Dragon Age: Origins presents the Broodmother as a fairly major reveal. Perhaps we should put "Genlocks are born from Broodmothers who were once female dwarves" behind a spoiler tag rather than right at the front of the article? Pocketnerd 21:10, November 27, 2009 (UTC)

Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? I'd hate to do this unilaterally, but if nobody objects...Pocketnerd 02:35, December 2, 2009 (UTC)
Just my two cents, but I fully agree.--Mytharox 02:36, December 2, 2009 (UTC)
Oh yes! I will make the change now. Loleil 03:02, December 2, 2009 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks. Pocketnerd 03:03, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Genlock Emmisary Edit

If dwarves can't use magic, how are Genlocks able to cast magic? They were spawned from a dwarven broodmother.

Must be something to do with the Darkspawn taint - they also don't retain the Dwarven spell immunity.Kendroche (talk) 17:54, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Where are the Genlocks now? Edit

So, where are they now? In Legends they show them like they're gorrillas or something but where are they in DA2? I think they will come back during expansions but has anyone heard about this?--SPRHLYWD21 (talk) 17:38, March 21, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah in the new DA2 expansion, Legacy, they are gorilla things ... they look so horrible! Don't even get me started on the Genlock Alpha ... disgusting what Laidlaw has done to them! User:Eggy2504 16:30, July 14, 2011

They're awful but I'm sure they can just write their around it by saying it was some mutated offshoot or something. -- (talk) 20:11, July 7, 2013 (UTC)

Legacy Edit

So is the wiki taking a stand against the new designs because none of the Genlock pages seem to mention the new gorrilla look they have in Legacy apart from the concept art picture —Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 13:26, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

No, the pages are just not updated. --D. (talk · contr) 17:21, February 5, 2012 (UTC)
