The Gallows Courtyard page says that for the Gallows to be accessible (in chapter one, I assume) you must have Wayward Son or Enemies Among Us listed in your rumors. That didn't seem to be true to me because I had them both in rumors but still couldn't access the Gallows (or see its icon on the map). I'm playing on the PC version BTW. I even tried several exits from the Lowtown map thinking it was adjacent to the Gallows because of the placement of the icons on the map. So I finished Tranquility thinking that quest completion must unlock it and it still wasn't there, but when I left the Darktown map (where Tranquility leaves you) the Docks were suddenly available and I'm thinking maybe access to the Gallows is initially through the Docks, which I'm going to try now.

So the lesson to me is, wander through all the maps at the beginning of Ch. 1 to unlock all the locations I can, but it does show that either the current statement about Gallows accessibility is wrong, or it's incomplete, in that the Docks has to be explored in addition to the rumor requirements. I wasn't careful enough to feel confident in editing the page myself, but I wanted to bring up the problem in case someone else wanted to verify it.

It looks like starting the quest Wayward Son unlocks it, but not having Wayward Son as a rumor. IDK about whether starting Enemies Among Us would do it.Phthartic (talk) 01:13, August 13, 2012 (UTC)

I was about to say the same thing. One might have thought one of the regulars might have corrected the main page by now. (talk) 17:01, September 29, 2014 (UTC)
