Human Sacrifice?[]

What source says the Chantry claimed the elves were practicing human sacrifice and performing dark magic? Ravenfirelight (talk) 20:36, February 28, 2014 (UTC)

History is written by victors, they can write whatever excuse they want.FirstDrellSpectre (talk) 20:43, February 28, 2014 (UTC)
Not what I'm asking. I'm asking where they made such a claim. I've never seen the chantry justify the Dales' destruction with this, so I'd like a source. Ravenfirelight (talk) 20:51, February 28, 2014 (UTC)
I believe I've found it. The codex for the Dales, non-Dalish entry, says that there were rumors in the lands bordering the Dales of such things occurring, but not that the chantry claimed it. Making the appropriate edit. Ravenfirelight (talk) 21:03, February 28, 2014 (UTC)
The rumors are part of a historical entry written by Chantry scholar Sister Petrine (the one you cited), so it seems the Chantry does play a part in painting a picture that demonizes worship of the elven gods, and such rumors still persist to this day. Lobsel Vith (talk) 20:16, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
I literally just had a conversation with you about this yesterday on the Bioware forums under a different name, Lobsel. I still maintain that a chantry scholar mentioning off hand that such rumors existed is not the same as them proclaiming them true and using them to justify the Marches as the article indicated before my edit. Rumors don't need the chantry to propagate. People are perfectly capable of being ignorant and prejudiced on their own Ravenfirelight (talk) 22:19, March 1, 2014 (UTC)
