It's going to be Dragon Age II, you know. I have not heard of any game with a distinct Roman numeral II in the logo that isn't referred to without that Roman numeral. The press release is either in error or was simplified to a 2 for simplicity's sake. Whatever the press releases say, I strongly believe we should defer to the logo text which is equally official and has a very strong chance of appearing in this form on the final box art. There really is not any reason right now to use 2 over II except for individual preference. But, your wiki. I would bet money if I could it will be Dragon Age II in the end though. (talk) 07:10, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

I wouldn't be surprised if it was II either given all the concept art. Hopefully the trailer will help confirm it, but it's not a huge deal at this point. Friendship smallLoleil Talk 07:47, July 9, 2010 (UTC)
It says Dragon Age 2 on Bioware's website, so we will go with that. Max21 (talk | contr) 08:21, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

Pretty much every Bioware source is showing it as "Dragon Age II" including the trailer and the current cover art.--DetailedSubset (talk) 23:51, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Our characters...Edit

I feel a bit cheated about not being able to import our Wardens. It honestly sounds like the entire first game was a waste of time. What was the point of growing to love our Wardens with their unique origins and personalities if they're just going to be tossed to the wayside? As it stands, I'm a bit let down. But surely as time goes on and the more we learn about DA2 (please give it a good subtitle, BioWare), the more I'm going to warm up to it. User: Sephirose 7:24 PM July 10, 2010

Well In every game that has character creation in it you start out with a new will probably be more interesting, hopefully there will be more to pick from other than a human dwarf or elf..and warrior rouge and mage

Hawke (the PC for DA2) is a human only, though can be a rogue, mage or warrior. Friendship smallLoleil Talk 05:48, July 11, 2010 (UTC)
...and may be either male or female. It's amazing how many gals got all angsty on Bioware's site after -assuming- that Hawke could only be male. -Vim- (talk) 08:41, July 11, 2010 (UTC)
I don't blame 'em. It's very unfair for an RPG game only be able to create a male character. --Rocketai (talk) 05:53, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
One good thing is Hawke is fully voiced now. He will be much more alive than the warden character in Dragon Age 1, like Shepard in Mass Effect. And I bet this is also the reason Hawke can only be human since it will require a lot more work to voice elf-Hawke and dwarf-Hawke as well. - Arciusazrael (talk) 09:27, July 13, 2010 (UTC)

Picture on Page Edit

I think the picture should have a white background, because it is very hard to see with the back background that the image has outlines of people under the dragons wings, if you look closely. Kranitoko (talk) 10:07, July 12, 2010 (UTC)

I can try to do some fading in photoshop, but I am not sure exactly how cohesive it may look. Max21 (talk | contr) 23:20, July 12, 2010 (UTC)
I'm wondering if those are important npcs we will meet throughout the game, or our companions. There seems to be around eighteen of them. Thoughts? --Tecni (talk) 16:14, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

I count twenty people in the pic and it doesent really need to be changed because the people are incorperated into the dragon's wings and from what bioware does the people will most likley be important in the game Crushinator (talk) 08:15, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

I picked up DA:O Ultimate Edition, and there's a visual with the Dragon Age 2 and the backround on the pamplet is white, behind Hawke walking away from his victory from the Qunari.

Flemeth Edit

Who but that she might be reincarnated via morrigan? I doubt it as a lot of dragon age 2 is supposed to occur during the origins. Also I think the concept art of the female mage is possibly flemeth and doesn't really look like morrigan.

I think that if Flemeth appears in DA 2, is because she has some kind of connection with Hawke... maybe she makes a deal with a woman escaping from Lotheing with Hawke...--Akanthar (talk) 21:34, August 18, 2010 (UTC)

Personally, I feel dissapointed that Morrigan doesn't appear to be anywhere, and the fact that we dont have our Grey Wardens... playing through the Human Noble origin on Dragon Age: Origins and the contiuing story of Awakening, I have a connection with my character and I want him to find her. I was hoping that in DA2, you would be able to load your previous save on and pursue her at some point. - Nesta

You can meet Morrigan in the Witch Hunt dlc.

Update Edit

Can someone update the article with the information from the Dragon Age 2 podcast and the new GI article [1]? Especially on combat. I would do it myself, but I feel far too lazy right now... Swedish guy (talk) 08:39, July 24, 2010 (UTC)

Hawke Edit

There's been a fair bit of discussion as to who hawke is. I'd just like to hear some of your opinions and what you think. It's been released that Hawke is a refugee from lothering. So my gut says it's the kid on the bridge that was searching for his mother. To me this is probably the most logical choice because hawke would've been pretty young during the time of DA:O also the fact hes from lothering is the bridge between both games and where do u meet him? the bridge! :)

Hawke is a man in DA2 when he leave lothering, as he imedialy starts on his adventure in the free marches,

remembers DA2 isnt set 10 years after Origins its set in the same time spanning over 10 years

Hawke already has some greys in the beard in the screenshots, so he can't be that child. Besides, we can choose wheter he's male or female, so there's like 1% of chance to be that brat. But at least the brat said my cutie elf was more kind than any human he ever met after I gave him quite a few silvers. The Bard From Hell (talk) 18:24, August 8, 2010 (UTC) The Bard From Hell

Well, while it COULD be the boy on the bridge, that would make it kinda a continuity breach of you made a female Hawke (which you can). Also, the boy is looking for his mother, what about his brother and sister? So, no I don't think it's the boy from the bridge, I think it's just some nameless refugee they are creating for the new game. Also, you may be able to customize the look of Hawke, so the grey in the beard is probably just their default look, kinda like all the official screenshots/trailers for DA:O have a certain look for the Grey Warden, or like Mass Effect always has the same look for Commander Shepard in official screenshots/trailers. AbsolutGrndZer0 (talk) 11:37, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

Thats an amzing coincidence because thats what I thought at first, but I had heard that he was 20-25 when Lothering fell so that and him being the "old god baby" are impossible.--Gdubs (talk) 11:46, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

No Grey Wardens?!??!?!?! Edit

I mean, as an protagonist ( not counting DLC ). Hawke is just an ordinary person, I assume.

Yeah, it seems you will play Hawke and as you play, the decisions you made in your previous game (if you imported the save) will determine how things go for your character. I actually think it sounds very interesting in that regard. AbsolutGrndZer0 (talk) 11:31, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

If what you mean by ordinary is, no ties with any specific military organization then yes but obviously Hawkes not going to be an ordinary Man/Woman.--Gdubs (talk) 11:49, September 11, 2010 (UTC)

I feel that the grey warden's in this game are only in there for a short amount of time. It was a boring incounter. they needed a little more.. power.

Kinda not happy Edit

Kinda not happy that Lyna is gone. (my epic racist Dalish =3). Also, was that man King Alistair gettinf pwned? I don't think he'd be that old at 40 unless... ANORA DROVE HIM MAD!!! Still, he was begging for mercy, bald, and what little hair he had looked gray. He can't have been more than 40, he was in his 30s after all. Does the Calling make you look old? I never got the book D=. But I don't get it. At least Lyna's "OMG THE DALISH NEED HELP LET ME SAVE YOU OMG REDCLIFFE IS BEING KEELED LEMME GO BYE BYE!" plan stays. She is not the most loved... The voice stuff AND Varterral have me happy. EPIC ELFIE GAURDIAN PWNS. I wonder what happens to the Warden? Is it... the Sten? Or my incoherent babbling? You decide! GO TO and LOOK FOR Lyna-Mahariel

I do not believe alistair is the viscount of kirkwall and your info seems very irrelavent.--Gdubs (talk) 16:33, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

xbox shit Edit

Hi, when I saw trailer for DA2 I was shocked. What the hell can somebody do with the awesome game like DAO. I dont understand. DAO was AWESOME. DA2 = total xbox shit. You waste originality and fall to average. pity.

Yeah, right, 'cuz you so got trough the entire game... What part of "Console and PC gameplay will be COMPLETELY different" people can't seem to grasp? And don't put all the fault on the Xbox, PS3 is also to blame by your logic, witch is failed sinse the game isn't even out yet. The Bard From Hell (talk) 14:45, October 5, 2010 (UTC)
where did you find that "Console and PC gameplay will be COMPLETELY different"? every article what i saw they talked about "new combat system" and describe system aka consoles. and second thing which i unlike is style aka final fantasy. upscaled weapons and too much blood.

i'll dont see "entire game" not even a piece because if the system will be only ala xbox this game inst for me. im dissapointed because as i wrote - DAO was awesome and after long time that game and Risen do flaver for my heart.

Bioware confirmed the great difference. Check your facts, the PC version wasn't even tested, no BIG differences except speedier responses to your comands, they don't need to showcase it if it's the same as it was before with only small changes. All everyone has tryed so far was the Xbox version, and that's what everyone is talking about, becouse they have redone the entire way the game works in the consoles, not on the PC. You cannot give facts about something you have not seen, Bioware are the makers of the game, they have obviously seen what they made. I trust the word of Bioware above that of any other people when it comes to Dragon Age, if they say PC gaming stays the same, then I believe it stays the same sinse I have not seen it yet. The Bard From Hell (talk) 15:46, October 6, 2010 (UTC)
Pls can you give me a link where they post that?

A complete Demo walkthrough on xbl by f1stdacuffs

New? Information Edit

I found a link on the Bioware forums with a lot of information and links to sources ( A lot of it is already on the wiki but I thought someone might wanna take a look and see if they can find anything new.

Companions Edit

Anyone see how different the companions are? Instead of being regular warriors or mages, the companions are truly unique. Fenris has lyrium burned into his skin! That just sounds awesome. --Drldrl (talk) 16:42, December 18, 2010 (UTC)

Time Period Edit

What time period do you think this occurs in? The plot says you are a survivor of Lothering which occured after the battle of Ostagar, yet the trailer depicts a more Greek/Helenistic appearance.

Also, I agree with many others. I thought Dragon Age was primarily about the Grey Wardens and their recruitment of new warriors to help fight the blight, but it looks as if they Grey Wardens role here is diminished.

So I can't import my Dwarf warrior? That's a bummer, but I'd still like to be able to use a dwarf or an elf as a character. Having only a male or female human is a big drawback from the original game.

The time period will be Lothering and ten years after, it looks different because its in a different area. Also, Bioware didnt want it just to be about Grey Wardens and the blight, they wanted to create a whole world and show some of the great people in it. --Drldrl (talk) 00:22, December 21, 2010 (UTC)

Aw damn. Edit

March 8??? That's the same release date as Homefront, Goddammit. {{SUBST:Signatures/YuriKaslov}} 02:46, January 10, 2011 (UTC)

Potential DLC? Edit

I was just wondering what everybody else would want from future DLC. I kinda hope for some DLC that is altered by choices from Origins. I also feel that if they need to add seperate campaigns, that they have some consequences in the main game some how because I hated playing Darkspawn Chronicles and Leliana's Song for just some extra equipment and a little more backstory.

Known characters Edit

... is getting ridiculous long. Dragon Age: Origins does not list them, Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening lists the companions instead. I don't want to remove it since it's being edited a lot, but I would suggest to simply link to the category instead, removing the section altogether, or replace it with "Companions" or something like that. --D. (talk · contr) 13:54, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

Auto-Attack Edit

I only hate three things in this world; auto-attacks in not MMORPGs, people who miss obvious details, and the number Q. So far, I've been unable to discover weather or not DA2 has an auto-attack like DAO or not. I don't think it does, but does anyone know for sure?

Play the demo. You will see there is no auto-attack. Personally, it bugs me to be forced to go "a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a" just to shoot my bow at the enemy. I hope there is a toggle when the game releases. It's fun to hack up enemies with the 'a' button with melee, but it gets annoying for the tactical classes.

Graphics Edit

Is it just me or do the graphics in the screenshots of Dragon Age II look extremely low tech in comparison to the graphics in Dragon Age: Origins? From the screenshots I've seen on this wiki it looks like they've really dumbed down the overall appearance. (talk) 05:36, February 3, 2011 (UTC)Sjelen

I like to think of it as 'stylized', remember how much flack Nintendo got over 'The Wind Waker' ? If simplifying graphics will lead to better gameplay and a more immersive, less buggy game world, I'm all for it. To me it seems like a happy medium between Western realism & Japanese anime/game influences.

-I'm not going to judge BioWare's graphical decisions until I have played the game, but... Well. I just can't shake the feeling I'm looking at Sims when eyeing shots of the characters. But we'll see. So far, BioWare has delivered enough mindblowing games to at least earn the benefit of the doubt, no? MusingMonkey (talk) 18:11, February 10, 2011 (UTC)

-The graphics are actually more realistic than Origins... The character models just happen to be less generic. If I had a dollar for every chick with the long-cardboard hair style in Origins...

DirectX 11 Features Edit

I was googling around on this topic and found some info about the PC version supporting directx 11 really well, and apparently the bioware team says if you have a DX11 gpu you'll see some noticeable differences in stuff like the terrain (I love this btw, I kept getting annoyed at the pointy pyramids that were supposed to represent mountains in origins). Another option is supporting the advanced DOF of dx11... etc.. etc.,810880/Dragon-Age-2-PC-Version-mit-DirectX-11-Tessellation-besserer-Beleuchtung-und-mehr/Rollenspiel-Adventure/News/

Love Interest Sexuality Confirmed? Edit

Someone just edited the page to indicate which romance options were for which genders. As far as I know, this is NOT confirmed. Can we get a source on this info?

Confirmed opening time. Edit

It is confirmed here that DAII opens about the time that The Warden is finishing their first major world quest. Bastian964 20:35, February 24, 2011 (UTC)

darkspawn Edit

ogres look awesome in the photos but hurlocks look like stupid freakin skeletons!!!!

they look stupid!!!!!!!!!

So how will the data transfer from DA to DA2? Edit

Ok so I have made a Mage who has done very quest possible in the game, and I made it to witch hunt. So now to make a new character I deleted all the saves from DA:O, DA:A, and GoA. Now all I have is the data from the witch hunt. I hope that I didn't mess up by deleting the otehr saves. Will I be able to transfer the data from WH and it still have all the stuff I did in the last 3 saves in it? Or did i need the saves from the otehr 3 parts of the game?

Just tell me and others who will read this how the new save transfer will work.

It allowed me to transfer from any of the DLCs with separate saves.

Spoilers from hacked Demo Edit

1. Zevran appeared in one of the Sundermount quest. 2. Nathaniel appeared in one of the Deep Road quest. 3. Leliana appeared in one of the Basti quest. 4. Fenris live in what possibly his former master's mansion, Merill in Alienage, Anders in his clinic, Isabela in The Hange Man, Varric is unknown, (not certain about Aveline or Basti) 5. There is a cap on levels, though I got very confused about the numbers. 6. Bethany has three endings: Join the Circle, Died in the Deep Road, or Join the GW (?) 7. Carver has three endings: Join the Templar, Died in the DR, or Join the GW. 8. The talking darkspawn Disciple appeared in the DR. 9. There is something about Meredith's eyes. 10. Meredith is one of the final boss. 11. Defeating Meredith is one of the secret achievement.

A pic for u non-believers.

Dragon Age to Dragon age 2 Edit

I'm worried about how the game data transfer is going down cause I was wondering if it wouldn't work if you didn't use the same character as you used in your main story as you did in Witch Hunter and Awakening. I used Lust (human rogue) to defeat the blight and than I used my female warrior to complete the downloadable content

I just tested it out, and what a shocker, some of the choices that were presented to me were not 100% accurate to my play through. Like example, I killed Loghain at the landsmeet while the data for the transfer says that i spared him and sent him to kill the archdemon which is bullsh!t. Same with Connor at RedCliff when i save both Him and his mom, which i get a message saying he died. the list goes on... Shadowhawk27 (talk) 01:46, March 3, 2011 (UTC)

The data presented to Dragon Age 2 is based on the save file chosen, however DLC such as Awakening and Witch Hunt are chronilogically after DA:O, so it is the DLC save file you must choose. However, there are some details which will be static regardless of save files. For instance, Nathaniel will always say the Architect was spared regardless of whether or not you killed him. But I must comment that other than the odd instance the data transfer is amazingly accurate. The Zevran quest for instance was never an option in my game as I killed him in DA:O. Ending romance glitch Edit

Wondering if anyone else had the glitch of romancing Merrill but having Varric say I ran off with Isabela. It kinda took me out of the ending

I had the same exact thing happen to me i'm assuming i missed one of the romance gifts

Well I sort of had that "problem", except I first romanced Isabela and responded to her shows of affection. I then nailed Merrill for good measure and told her I loved her, in spite of which neither of the two seemed to mind that I kissed them both at the end, while preparing for the final showdown. After all this, Varric still stated that Isabela was the only one of the companions that never left my side, or something to that effect..
--WallaBilla (talk) 19:37, March 24, 2011 (UTC)
This happened to me too. I slept with Isabella and flirted with her at pretty much every chance before that, but agreed with her that feelings were to be left out. I still completed a full romance with Merrill and got the achievement, however I reckon that for some reason the person Varrik mentions is set if you get to a certain point with Isabella. (talk) 21:11, April 1, 2011 (UTC)GM

SPOILER: I'd rather choose to have the romance with Isabela because in act 3 you'll find a quest which only requires Isabela's romance, and if you choose isabela and merrill both, the quest won't be working. The quest might be very important if you wanna get the "Ambrosia", a crafting resource which only can be found on this isabela's quest

DLCs and Unlockables Edit

The DLC section of the DA2 page seems huge and confusing. In fact the game separate them into two groups: DLCs and unlockable items. Maybe we can do the same here? Norspd (talk) 05:13, March 12, 2011 (UTC)

Acts? Edit

I've been looking around the wiki at a bunch of DA2 pages (namely companions) and I keep seeing the word "Act", however, there is no indication as to what this refers to. I know that DA2 has timejumps, so maybe those are the start/stop points for the Acts, but I think it would be beneficial if you explained that on this page. Thanks.

SPOILERS HERE; If you play the game it's pretty obvious what each act refers to. The intro ends at the first time jump soon after arriving in Kirkwall, Act I ends after the Deep Roads expedition, and Act II ends after you defeat the Qunari Arishok.

Plot Description Discrepancies Edit

So I suppose it might be because the game is still relatively new and only so many people have finished it or whatever, but there were some things (specifically of the ending) that either were completely different, or aren't mentioned as a possible alternate, that happened during my playthrough. Of course, the description of the ending is rather vague and ambiguous (as should be), but I was hoping this wikipage would hold different solutions and their end results for comparison between players who have finished it.

Events reach a tipping point when an arrest warrant arrives for Anders.

This never happened during my playthrough. This might be because until the very last (including this point), I refused to take sides. Alternatively, it might've been affected by how I chose to perform the quests of Meredith and Orsino, but I doubt that.

When I reached the "tipping point", it was caused by Meredith performing searches for blood mages at the Circle Tower, which Orsino apparently refused to accept. Ever the diplomat, I yet again refused to take sides, exclaiming the need for the two to solve their differences peacefully. Suddenly and unprovoked, Anders interrupts the discussion, accusing the Templars of unnecessary persecution of mages and exclaiming something akin to "the Circle is not a solution", then blowing up the Chantry and thus slaying Mother Superior (or whatever she was called). By this point, "my" story has already converged with the one described.

The showdown calls on the Champion to choose between friends and bear the consequences. If the player sides with the mages, those who escape spread the news. Despite being liberated by the Champion and surviving a massacre, Kirkwall is to become a byword for injustice and brutality once again.

Again, not exactly the way it happened to me, despite choosing this line. I played a mage, so it was an obvious choice. Yes, news were to be spread. But Kirkwall did not become a "byword for injustice and brutality", but instead, something of a spark for the revolution of Circle mages around Thedas. Then, Varric said "more Templars came to restore control, but by then, we were all gone" (not word-for-word, but something to that effect).

Also, among the achievements, there is one that you get by appointing yourself the ruler of Kirkwall. This line is not mentioned in the description of the plot?

Now, I know the plot description is from the Official Strategy Guide, but it seems vague at best, and for myself, I find it far too much so for comparison of playthroughs.

WallaBilla (talk) 19:28, March 24, 2011 (UTC)

Note: Found the description of the actual final quest, which is more according to what I've described here. I reckon no real update in this page is needed..

Easter Eggs you've found. Edit

Since I do not have permission to edit the easter egg page I thought I'd set up a post of my own, and maybe someone will update the page later. Post whatever easter eggs youve found here.

At on point after Sandal and Bodahn have moved into your estate. Sandal will say "I saw something nasty in the woodshed" which is in reference to a movie from the 1990's called Cold Comfort Farm.

So far the only one that I've noticed that hasnt been mentioned yet.

I found a reference to South Park. During Isabela's quest "No Rest For The Wicked" her plan (Step 1: Capture Velasco, Step 2: Something Happens, Step 3: Profit) is the same plan used by the Underpants Gnomes.--Amriel (talk) 04:15, March 29, 2011 (UTC)

Do we need to re-iterate this - most of the "easter eggs" are pop culture references, not easter eggs! Easter eggs are hidden, not out in the open or explicit references. The "Talkative Man" is an in-game propaganda device to convince us that the game is better since it has been dumbed down.

Timeline Edit

All the press releases and the game box itself claim the game spans a full decade however 8yrs after the game begins it is finished. Is there something I am missing or was 'spanning a full decade' an exaggeration on BioWare's part? (talk) 21:21, April 1, 2011 (UTC)GM

Reasons for removing Dog from Major Characters Edit

First of all this is the "Major Characters" not companions, and it is obvious that the dog is not a major character. We don't even recognize dog as a companion (see here). So there is no reason for adding him. For those who believe otherwise please explain how deep the dog involves in DA2 story? -- Snfonseka (Talk) 09:13, May 2, 2011 (UTC)

Dragon age 3 Edit

i know we are a very long way from dragon age 3 but with the ending from dragon age 2 you would think their would be a sequel and i have heard discussion go round on other sights about whether or not you will play as your grey warden and hawke in DA3 but then people mentioned what if your warden dies at the end of dragon age orgins well i have an idea as to how he/she may come back. In DA2 you learn how flemeth revives herself after her death by the hands of the grey warden she puts part of herself in a amulet and this got me thinking surely she must have had a back up plan if morrigan had died some point in her life. Then i thought about morrigans ring in DAO mayby flemeth had made the ring and put a piece of her in the ring for insurance and the ring has a detector so that she could recover it from morrigans body if she dies. Morrigan reverses the effects of the ring and gives it to you and in the years that havae passed since your death she may figure out how to use it to bring you back or if she didnt give you the ring she will still have it and can still use it. Thats how i think your grey warden may return in DA3 wich is obviously going to be in orlais.--( (talk) 15:16, May 4, 2011 (UTC))

Romance Edit

I think that the romance is pretty weird. it is nothing liker in the first game. When you are a Mage i honestly think your relationship with Ander's is better. Like you likes you better, but he still brakes your heart. And when you kiss. WOW. It is nothiong like in the first game. When you and Ander's kiss for the first time, holy crap, you like makes out with you! and then when he comes to your estate you just lay in bed making out. it is a little weird

when you are in a relationship with Fenris, i was never in a relationship with Fenris but my mom was and she told me all about it, it is weird. you are together for a little while and then he just brakes up with you. Honestly i hate Fenris when i played this game, Fenris hated me in both games. He hated Hawke even more because she was a Mage. and you all should know that Fenris hates Mage's. but when i was a rouge, he still hated me because i was doing all these nice things for all these people. I got so mad when he left me because i chose the Mage's at the end of the game.

Brother and Sister's Edit

when you are a mage, Carver stays with you, when you are a warrior or a rouge Bethany stays with you.

When Carver stayed he hated me. He hated what i did and why i did it. i didnt take him into the deep roads. He f'in joined the templars!!!!!! WHEN I WAS A MAGE! I WAS SOO MAD! before that he was a jerk he yelled at me and when he got the news that Mother died he hated me for it!!!!

Bethany, she was a sweetheart. She was always nice, but when she needed to kick some butt she did it good! but when she came back it said she leveled up. her attributes points where 30!!!!!!!!! and he abilites where like 10 or something like that. Oh and she went to the Circle of Magi because she got caught.

new dragon age? Edit

will there be a NEW dragon Age?

Removing some of the major characters Edit

I have removed Bodahn Feddic, Sandal, Leandra Amell, Gamlen Amell and Seneschal Bran due to one or more following reasons:

  • Not a companion
  • Not involve in the main plot or contribution to the main plot is much less.

-- Snfonseka (Talk) 03:24, December 12, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I am aware that there is an ongoing discussion in the forum about it, as you have pointed it out in your revert. I'm fine with the page being locked, but I don't think you should declare what goes into that page in an arbitrary manner as you have here, until a consensus has been reached.

On a side note, I should point out that so far, most of the regular editors on that thread agree that Leandra is a major character, but Flemeth's role in the plot on the other hand is rather contentious. (talk) 12:29, December 14, 2011 (UTC)

is "almost certainly saves the life of the main character" really not a solid enough qualification?? --Yeti magi (talk) 21:39, November 6, 2012 (UTC)

from the lead: Edit

"It was released on March 8, 2011 for the U.S., and planned to be released on March 11, 2011 for Europe, according to BioWare."
This... seems to leave the historical record of whether there even was a European release... in the air. 'pedia has a simple statement that leaves out "planned to be" and "according to BioWare"... is there something missing? --Yeti magi (talk) 21:46, November 6, 2012 (UTC)

Antagonists Edit

I disagree with having an Antagonists section, as that's a pretty big spoiler. For all of the characters listed, save possibly the Arishok, it's not immediately known to the player that these are in fact antagonists. I think they should be moved back to the characters or secondary characters sections. --Kelcat (talk) 01:40, August 18, 2014 (UTC)

I'm glad you brought it up, as I was unsure to do it myself. I saw Origins had a section like this as well, though I don't agree with that much either, especially with Loghain being listed there, but even so - it is spoilerish. In DA2's case I'm the most conflicted about Petrice, as she can side with us, offer her aid in the future. Anyway, I do agree with you that there shouldn't be an antagonist section. --Margerard 01:54, August 18, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't think it should be on the Origins article either; I wasn't sure if I should copy and paste the same subject to both articles. --Kelcat (talk) 02:28, August 18, 2014 (UTC)
Absolutely no need for that, especially in the Dragon Age series. None of the enemies are clear enemies, really. Loghain can become an ally, so can Branka; you don't even have to fight Arishok, he can walk away with Isabela; the only charachters that can really be classed as antagonists are the mother, archdemon, and Meredith. And them being antagonists can be described in plot sections.User signature henioo henioo (da talk page) 02:58, August 18, 2014 (UTC)
Perfectly put. --Margerard 03:25, August 18, 2014 (UTC)
I strongly agree with the above points and have removed the antagonist sections from this page as well as Origins. Friendship smallLoleil Talk 03:33, August 18, 2014 (UTC)

Ah sorry everyone, I was just trying to improve it but see what you mean now. Should the antagonists section be removed on the Inquisition page as well? Xsari (talk) 10:40, August 18, 2014 (GMT)

It's changed now, I hope it's okay I went ahead and made it. Had no idea myself that "Antagonists" were listed there too, so good thing you mentioned. --Margerard 10:20, August 18, 2014 (UTC)
It's no trouble at all, thanks for fixing my mistake. Maybe the Elder One should be listed in major characters as he looks to be the main villain in the game. Xsari (talk) 20:35, August 18, 2014 (GMT)

Save file transfer the Witch Hunt Edit

Witch hunt plot flags
The article goes:

BioWare has stated that the DLC packs Return to Ostagar, Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt have no plot flags that are checked inside of Dragon Age II.

However, I know this isn't true. I brought it up at the save file talk page. I know it is now obsolete because of Inquisition, and it makes no impact on DA2, however, with the latest patch the game does read one flag of the Witch Hunt regarding whether Morrigan was stabbed or not. Interesting. I'd wondered about that section myself when I was doing some cleanup, but wasn't sure if it was accurate. I'll fix the note. --Kelcat Talk 09:32, December 21, 2015 (UTC)

Consol or PC? Edit

I don't know if this game is on PC or Consol can someone tell me?
