These strategies are seriously bad. User:Thc 20:57, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

The decision was made to get them out of the main articles as they are based off personal opinion. I'm considering making them forums topics, but in the mean time if you can make them better, please do so. --Loleil 22:13, January 13, 2010 (UTC)

I just noticed it now, apart from not having a specialization, why does Sten only have one point to spend for specializations? I have him at Level 18, and without any specializations unlocked.

Because companions only get one point. The others dont actually have 2 points with one spent, they just have the specialization then get one point. --Miumaru (talk) 04:44, July 2, 2010 (UTC)

no kidding, whoever wrote these sounds like they haven't finished playing the game.

Then put up or shut up. Why not offer some other stratagy, or point out what's wrong with them then just call them bad.

For what it's worth, a lot of this text is cribbed directly from the Prima strategy guide, which is probably why some of it is questionable.

Proposing deletion[edit source]

This page reads much more like a bunch of personal opinions than any kind of consistent or useful article. There are lots of "on the other hand", "probably", "possibly", and a few "I" statements. I also question how informative this really is. Morrigan as an Arcane Warrior? Alistair using a dagger as a secondary weapon? Almost every companion listed here is given several different proposals for how to build stats, and it looks to me like most of it is intuitive since it's still showing multiple options for how to spec each companion rather than recommending what the best spec actually is. Yes.png As I've said on Talk: Dragon Age: Origins general tips#Proposing deletion, most of our guides are of poor quality and are unlikely to ever be improved. – mostlyautumntalkcontribs • 17:53, September 4, 2013 (UTC)
Apparently it was on my mind three years ago to move this out of the main space and, for all the reasons mentioned above, I still think it's a good idea. Friendship small.pngLoleil Talk 00:37, September 5, 2013 (UTC)
Yes.png I have to agree it's a hodge-podge of stuff and not really worth much. Plus, if it's as it says above and just mostly copied from the official Prima strategy guide then aside from making me yet again facepalm at Prima guides and their consistent inaccuracies that make me think they are going off of Beta version game information (if not alpha in some guides I've read) you still have the possibility of copyright infringement, don't you? Just giving their strategies, good or not seems a bit... especially without referencing them. AbsolutGrndZer0 (talk) 05:20, September 9, 2013 (UTC)
