What are the Children Exactly[]
So here is my understanding: Kossith Broodmothers make Ogres, Elven Broodmothers make Shrieks, Dwarven equals Genlock, Human equals Hurlock. So if the Mother is a "human" Broodmother why is she making Children and not Hurlocks? Is she a mutant? Or is she not a "human" Broodmother and something else entirely? Maybe the Architect's ritual did something to her that allowed her to make something else. I'm just wondering if anybody else has thought about this or whether BioWare answered this already.- - darb86 15:54, August 20, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry for the excessively delayed reply, but my guess is that the newly-bestowed creativity has allowed the Mother to create them. Whereas it's a basic biological process to create Hurlock, Genlock, Ogres and Shrieks, the Blight can still be applied to creatures without Broodmothers (Bereskin, Blightwolf, Plague Rat). I would assume the Mother doesn't give birth to them, per se, but rather creates them by spreading the Blight to Deepstalkers. RomeoReject (talk) 22:35, June 27, 2012 (UTC)
I have no idea on how to contact you, but all your areas to prevent spoilers by concealing them, and only having to click on them to reveal what is hidden is broken on every page. Touching them would not unlock them, they are clearly broken, it likely happened when the wikia site was upgraded last, but only yours seem to have yet to be fixed from what I have gather.
The newborn darkspawn look more or less like the Children. Perhaps The Children is a type of mutant Hurlock
