Dialogue Oversight[]
He says "the blight was stopped with the help of two mages, one an apostate". This is rather interesting to me, because the history I chose was Jergen Brosca, who completely annulled the circle, and refused the dark ritual. Shadizar666 (Ruck Rules) 19:17, July 8, 2013 (UTC)

Friend/Rival versions[]
The page states Anders will be talking with Merrill if friendly, and with Aveline if a rival, but I've found it to be the other way around in my game. Or it could be that the distinction is whether you're romancing him or not. I'm currently rivalmancing him (also supported Meredith) and got the talk with Merrill, but when I friended him before (romancing Fenris instead, and supporting Orsino) I got him arguing with Aveline. I think the user above me is correct.I'm currently at a 100-90% friend score with anders but i think its maxed out.And i'm a mage myself and i romanced isabela and im pro-mage.But i still got the cutscene in which anders is arguing with aveline.So i think you get the merril cutscene if you are pro-templar and at rival score.I'm on ps3 btw.
